I booked this hotel while I was at San Francisco airport on the day of my flight. Just by the name CROWN REGENCY HOTEL, I have put my trust that this BRAND will be a good hotel for my 10 days quarantine in the Philippines. To my surprise, their room doesn’t have a microwave. So on my 1st day of stay, I requested the front desk to have my food heated up because it's gone cold. Voila! they only have 1 microwave in their kitchen and it’s broken! So I calmly talked to the staff to let her Manager know about the situation because it will make my stay disastrous. They called me back at my room and informed me that they will have it repaired on that day. 3 days have past, their microwave is still broken. Now the biggest question is, WHY REPAIR, IF YOU CAN BUY A NEW ONE? With my disappointment, I demanded them to have their Manager talk to me to discuss the problem and according to him, he already escalated the problem to the Management and the only solution that they can think of is to ship a microwave from CEBU to MANILA! WOW!!!!! Worst part is, since its pandemic, there might be a delay of the shipment… and I WAS LEFT SPEECHLESS! TO THE MANAGEMENT OF CROWN REGENCY, WE ARE NOT HERE SIMPLY BECAUSE WE WANT STAYCATION. WE ARE FORCED TO BE QUARANTINED AT OUR EXPENSE AND WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO OUT. Your guests that are from America or Europe or Middle East like me may suffer jet-lag and wakes up as early as 3 in the morning, hungry with no option to buy food via delivery app because all restaurants are closed! Why I am making a big fuss over a microwave? Simply because we order food online that is enough for us to eat for the rest of the day and it’s frustrating to eat food that is either cold because of the air conditioner or simply because its from the mini-fridge. Calling the front desk in the middle of the night just to request for a food heat-up and to find out that the microwave is broken is really upsetting. I will definitely not recommend this hotel anymore specially those who are going to be quarantined. Check your hotel/room amenities before you book BECAUSE MICROWAVE WILL BE YOUR QUARANTINE BEST FRIEND for the next 10 days or else you will suffer the same experience I had here in Crown Regency. HUNGRY AND FRUSTRATED. It is not worth every penny. To be fair, staff are super-friendly and helpful. Room is clean, bed linens are fresh but no window view so getting another hotel will be a good choice.

We stayed here for two nights in March. Despite saying they had refunded the 3000 PHP deposit amount, the refund never went through properly and they are not responding to emails. I eventually came through after I emailed head office and after 7 working days. In addition, room was incredibly noisy. (411) Due to to the air conditioning unit above the office on the ground floor. Even with the window close it was very bad. Bed sheet did not fit the mattress and kept coming off - also bad stains on the bed sheets noticed. Mould in bathroom - as per other reviews in much need of renovation. They did not let us check in until 1pm, despite the room being ready much earlier. All other hotels in the Philippines had done this out of good will however this hotel did not. We had been traveling for 24 hours amid the COVID-19 disruption and were extremely tired, however they still refused to allow us into the room even 2 hours early. Poor service.

The room without any view was very clean and smelled really clean with white bed linens. I have to keep the AC to super cool otherwise above 20C you can smell that moldy smell from AC unit. The lobby is way too cramped. Staff were very friendly.

The hotel is a little small, but prices and service are great! I was told they recently did renovations, and they are looking really promising! Uno helped me out immensely! He really made my stay here feel like a 5 star premium hotel! This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. Uno seemed very genuine and helpful, will book again if I am back in Makati!
