The hotel may not be to everybody's taste, but I liked it very much. It's very French, though they speak perfect English as well. It's attached to a French bakery, which means fresh croissants for breakfast. The food is light, but very good and there's a nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. It's a couple of blocks from one of Manila's red-light districts, and if you wish you can sit out front and watch the world go by. It really is a very good place to sit around and have a drink or a meal. The staff could not have more helpful and friendly. The rooms, however, are small and, though attractively designed, are not particularly comfy. It's very modernist and something of a challenge for the elderly.
This restaurant was new to me but did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, right in the middle of a popular party area. Excellent samosas and seafood Aioli. All very relax. Good wine too. Everybody had a great time. And there’s a very good gin bar just few steps away around the corner but I forgot the name !
We stayed three nights in this delightful boutique hotel in Makati, Manila. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had booked the Penthouse Suite at the top of the hotel which was spacious. The decor was minimalist and classy. The bathroom was enormous with a large walk in shower and an enormous bath almost like a plunge pool. The only drawback was that the hotel was rather noisy: although we were on the top floor there was a constant thump of music until the early hours; I thought this was coming from neighbouring bars or clubs but was surprised to find when checking out at 4.30am to catch an early bus, the music was coming from the hotel's own bar. Despite this I would strongly recommend the hotel for excellent value and friendly staff.
This is a great choice for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and set up nice. The restaurant is great and the staff is helpful and friendly. If I find my way back here I’ll stay again. I do think I left my watch in the room, so if management gets ahold of it please contact me.
The rooms are comfortable, the management focuses on eco-friendly choices: soap and shampoo of great quality in glass bottles, drinking water in a glass bottle, stainless steel straws at the restaurant, organic products... In a lively neighborhood, you may want to ask for a room at the back if you need silent nights. The staff is efficient, the restaurant proposes a choice of French and international dishes for every moment, we’ve enjoyed them from breakfast to dinner, including lunch, snack and apéro. Excellent stay, willing to go back, and to help this hotel/restaurant being known.
