Hi! Just wanna say kudos to an awesome service we had during our stay! And the rustic, gorgeous place really put the cherry on top. I stayed at the Room #1 downstairs and I just have to say, I felt I stayed in a first class cabin of a cruise ship back in the old days. The high bed with the curtains, the wooden wardrobe, even the lamps and the wall arts and the hooks are very decorative and really enhances the Hispanic Era vibes the place is emitting. Kudos on mentaining the place in it's tip-top shape. Will definitely go back in the future! Also, shouout kita ate caretakers kanina kasi when we got back to the area to fetch our other car, they offered us super lamig, brainfreeze-level kind of drinking water and that's just soooooooo nice! That's all po. Have a good Sunday! - PJ, July 2021.

Lots to recommend this cute spot. The owner and staff are very friendly, helpful and well-versed in hospitality and the decor is a nice colonial (not too) shabby. It is located in perhaps the nicest section of Manila and adjacent to likely the richest neighborhood. Despite that, it still offers a good taste of Manila without all the mess.

The way I would describe La Casita Mercedes is this... It's a marvellous Spanish-Filipino home where you will experience Filipino hospitality at its finest. If we could give this place ten or more stars, we would. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. My family and I stayed here for two weeks over Christmas. I remember when we first arrived...we were blown away by its idyllic beauty and timeless design. It takes influence from old Spanish colonial houses which comes as a breath of fresh air as it is located at the heart of Makati in Manila. The location was ideal; just a short walk to the main streets where all the popular bars, restaurants and malls are. It is very close (10 min walk or so) to the upmarket Powerplant Mall where we found all our favourite Western retail and food brands. The incredible owner Jon Ramos who created La Casita Mercedes not only made sure we had a great and comfortable stay, he was also more than generous and kindly took us on a food trip in Binondo- the oldest Chinatown in the world on Christmas Eve to share with us his cultural knowledge which made our stay all the more special. His attention to detail is second to none and it shows with how amazing La Casita Mercedes is. The staff are the most helpful, trustworthy and caring people we have ever met. Everyone went an extra mile to make sure we had a wonderful stay. This is a stunning, clean and comfortable house where you will feel relaxed and at home. They provide shampoo and conditioner. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels. From the delicious breakfast Jena made every morning to helping us book taxis and more. Jena, Sol and Aya are so reliable. The security is also tight in this property which is ideal. The reception area is manned 24/7. Everyone at La Casita Mercedes have treated us like family and so we now consider them family too. This is now our second home away from home. How can we forget about Sam- the sweetest dog of La Casita Mercedes who is always happy to see people and loves a fuss. I will never forget our stay in La Casita Mercedes and I am sure that my family and I will go back when we return to the Philippines. If you are looking for the best hotel/bed and breakfast in Manila, Philippines then, look no further and book La Casita Mercedes now.

I needed a break and found this quaint b & b. Little did I know, it would turn out to be one of the best decisions ever. Superb staff, service and the home itself. I loved that kitchen. I cannot get over it. And then, there was Sam. My favorite large breed dog which I hope to have someday. I have a shih tzu myself. I miss him already. I can't wait to be back. Planning it already.

I have recently begun staying here instead of the sister property, The Clipper Hotel. This home is like a caribbean colonial cottage set in the middle of the city. The antique kitchen, wooden spiral staircase and golden lab 'sam' make me feel at home. I come here to escape the stresses of life and in a frenetic city, i am at peace, balanced and comforted by longtime employed staff who care about me personally. This is not a place to bring an escort, it's a place to bring yourself and rejuvenate.

Thank you Jena, the dog and Aya for taking really good care of my KSU Law moot team. We had a clean and comfortable stay. Plus the space for discussions and practice was available for us until late night. The breakfast may be the same everyday, we still enjoyed the yummy coffee and pancakes. Thank you for the wonderful accommodation and hospitable treatment you showered us. We surely would recommend your quaint home to other travelers in Poblacion, Makati.

There really is a calming quality to the place which we loved! Booked this quaint bed and breakfast for an overnight stay prior to heading to Palawan. we booked for a queen room & just paid directly for breakfast at the property. Rooms were clean, providing the basic amenities. Breakfast is prepared by the casita staff and you can dine either in their breakfast nook or the nice patio with the natural sunlight filtering in. The staff keeps the front gate secured at all times for added security (very much so like a home!) which we liked.

Nefarious experience and the reception women are very innocent and do not solve customer problems. In addition to the inconsistency of your entry and exit door for each client. In turn it is too expensive for the quality it offers, it is uncomfortable. Nothing recommended above all for personal treatment.

It is not possible to be innocent and nefarious at the same time. One thing that you have not mentioned here is how you screamed at our staff because they were unable to book a GrabTaxi for you. We agree that our staff are innocent - as they were sincere in doing their best to find you a taxi in the soonest possible time. Unfortunately, as it was raining, there were no GrabCar/Taxis available. To scream and lose one’s cool at people who are trying their best to help you when conditions are BEYOND THEIR CONTROL IS UNACCEPTABLE. Your anger and frustration at possibly missing your flight to Palawan is misdirected. We did our very best to help you but your expectations of Manila’s transport system is not grounded in reality. To expect a small bed and breakfast with limited resources to provide you with (public) transport at the INSTANT you request it, is unrealistic. (We do not have a car service and we certainly do not advertise we have any) Your harsh words about our property is borne out of anger at the possibility of missing your flight while we did our best to assist you. For this, we will unequivocally state that this is patently UNFAIR.
