You can find bigger, more extravagant (and more expensive) hostels in Makati, but Junction hostel takes the cake when it comes to friendliness and homey feeling. Very clean, friendly attentive staff, super comfortable beds, and a rad TV room where you can chill and watch your movies. It's secluded and quiet, yet only a few steps away from the busiest area in Makati, all wrapped up in a very competitive price. You just can't go wrong with this place!

I was in Manila for business purpose and wanted a decent place to leave well located to avoid the traffic and budget friendly , junction was the perfect place for me , the staff is exceptionally friendly and i do love the family type of ambiance, to anyone intending to book at junction , just ask for me Mycca , she is the problem solver she will make ur stay memorable , the rest of the staff will go the extra miles just for u , do not hésite to name ur needs doesn’t matter how wild they are . Have a nice stay at junction , i will be back there more often since we are opening a branch in Manila . Hope to see one of you there Don .

Stayed here for a night as I needed a place to crash to avoid the traffic rush heading to my hometown on a Friday. It was my only option in Makati as they offer "pay at the property" without having the need for a credit card in Booking.com. The hostel itself is tucked within Don Pedro, away from the booming sounds of the red light district of Makati. The area is relatively quiet (although a bit dark at night, so be careful with walking around if you're alone), the hostel itself is also quiet, not much going on in the receiving area. The room I was assigned to was at the corner of the second floor, and to my surprise, it was full of stuff, wasn't sure if it was from the room or from the other travelers. One couple even decided they wanted to be secluded and cordoned off their bunk beds with towels for privacy. The room is a bit dark though. They assigned me the top bunk, even if I requested to have the bottom bunk (the receptionist even re-iterated it before escorting me to the room). Despite the room having a fully functional aircon, my bed doesn't seem to get any waft of the cold air. I don't know if it was due to the bed's position, or if the window beside it was getting all of the heat from the outside. Needless to say, it was uncomfortable to sleep and I was sweating most of the time. I'm thankful my stay was just for one night. Their toilet and shower is ok, probably needs some cleaning. I was under the impression that my roommates where there for quite some time and have completely settled due to the amount of stuff the toilet has. I tried to use a common toilet on the floor but it seemed to be clogged. If you're on a pinch and you need a place to crash, maybe it's ok to get this one. But they really need to improve their facilities.

I booked online and arrived late in the night, at no point did they contact me to inform me they have overbooked my reservation. They said they would 'upgrade' me to a better room but it was a smaller room with no toilet and shared with long staying guests, without AC working. The next day they offered to move me to another room, but it was an even smaller and dirty room, I tried every day of my 5 days stay to change to my room or even possibly a bottom bunk, but the staff could never accommodate me. I have to say the lack of concern for the guests is terrible. The toilets were all disgusting, I know this is Manila but I've never seen so many cockroaches infesting a room and toilet before. They always turn off the AC in the common areas so no one is staying there creating no social atmosphere. The few times I stayed in the common areas I overhead guests who appeared to be locals and long term soliciting sexual favors to other guests. I would not recommend nor stay again at this hostel.

Stayed for three nights in June 2019 for work. We checked in late and we were assisted quite professionally until we reached our room. The Standard Queen Room was ample in size. The Queen bed was big enough for two persons. A canopy covers the bed which made it easy for us to sleep. Air-conditioning, a mini table and two chairs were available, as well as a cabinet and huge window overlooking the street below. Towels and basic toiletries were also provided in the shared toilet. I like that a keycard was required to access the hostel as this gives a feeling of security. The lobby was vibrant and bustling with travelers. A small smoking area is provided just infront of the property. The location was excellent as the nighlife spots, convenience stores, and restaurants are within walking distance. The room had a mildly unpleasant smell (like laundry that didn't dry well). It was there during the entire duration of our stay. Adjacent rooms were not too careful in shutting doors and the sound of slamming doors at night caused mild discomfort. Other than these, our stay was pleasant. Hope the housekeeping staff will be trained to greet guests they meet along the hallways.

I liked the common area/cafe a lot. Staff was really helpfull and they have a tv room. The dorms were packed, not a lot of room and unfortunately for me I didnt have nice roommates. I had a feeling some were kind of living there and they had put there stuff everywhere. Plus my bed was right in front of the aircon which made a lot of noise. Maybe i would stay here again, but not with the same people or in the same bed.

I don't like writing not so pleasant reviews but I think I have to do this to help manage everyone's expectations. It does look good on photos, unfortunately, the hostel doesn't look as good in person, at least not anymore. They were not able to maintain it well. The bathrooms are the worst, some broken toilet seats, always dirty, and on the second floor, they are having water trouble so I had to do my shower on the third floor. The door lock is weird. I thought at first that my roommates were just negligent for not closing the door until I realize it's the lock that's the problem. Going out, the handle wouldn't turn so you have to tap your card key again for it to budge, only then will you be able to pull the door shut. My biggest issue was my roommate, she is such a big slob. All of her stuff is scattered about that it was hard to move inside the room. It seems like she's been staying there for such a long time. Admittedly, it's not the hostel's fault, but since the girl is obviously staying there for long, I wish the admin could at least tell her to put her things away because she is staying in a dorm room, not private. As with the good points, it's in a perfect location, close to the best hangout spots in Makati. The bed mattress is quite comfortable. The wifi is fast and reliable, and I like the common area, not as crowded as the more famous hostel in the area. The staff is also nice. Lastly, the price is cheap. perfect for those who are in a budget. I just hope they will take this review as constructive and do something with the maintenance of the hostel.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by their staff. Excellent hostel with excellent location. The place is very hippie and cool! We enjoyed playing scrabble and cards, they also have a movie room and all of those are free! The place is clean & comfortable. Would definetely recommend this hostel to everyone especially to back packers. It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again guys for accommodating us!

It was my first time to do this kind of stuffs like reviewing something.Because I was very disappointed in my stay here at this hostel. Me and my boyfriend stayed last week in this hostel the receptionist and the housekeeping was nice, But their MANAGER was NOT! She was rude, like Im just asking for a favor to boil some water just 15mins for my coffee, its for my health therapy and i'm willing to pay on how much it is.But the manager keep on telling us that those cooking materials are only for the STAFFS!? How come we are a guest at this hostel so we should be the one prioritized specially when we need some help . And also in the reg. form we sign, it says there that no kids allowed but we saw some kids at the hostel and we can even hear their noises near our room. You allowed those kids to stay but just boiling a water is not allowed even if Im willing to pay.!! And there was a guy who also complaining about something but i can see the manager not saying something or not doing anything what kind of manager is that,?!she doesn't even care about the guest in this hostel.!! We really wanted to enjoy our stay but were already disappointed with your Manager. -_-
