The table top was full of cockroaches. Old hotel, not well maintained. If you just need a place to sleep and with a low budget and NOT sensitive to bugs you can consider this hotel. On positive points for this hotel is location is within the business district right across Avenue mall where food stalls and bands for relaxation.

I have been staying with this hotel for more than 4 times but still no improvement. I choose this hotel as the room rate is affordable and the location is strategic to me. For this time, actually I did booking a room at another hotel but due to some problem with the booking agent, I cancel my booking and went straight to this hotel as I have an experience staying with this hotel. Refer to my previous review on this hotel, it still remain the same. Hotel is old and outdated. The good thing about the room, is only the bathroom which had a bathtub. Staff is so so only. Whats make me piss off with this hotel this time, there are a lots of small cockroaches inside the room. Do this hotel ever call pest control to solve the problem? why cant the housekeeping see this matter? One of the Hotel lift with view the air conditioning malfunctioning. Do this hotel have engineering department like other hotel? For me, I rated this hotel with poor management with no Hotel experience and the owner of the hotel most probably sleeping all the time, never have any intention to improve the hotel. This Hotel have a potential to be the best hotel in Makati based on their strategic location but if there is no intention to improve the hotel, well, i predict this hotel will be a brothel someday,

Location of this hotel is very much ideal. Surrounded by some super markets, restaurants and it was really active place with good traffic all around. The doorman at the entrance were friendly & helpful but as other reviews points out, there is nothing much to speak about the hotel staff. The rooms were spacious & just ok.

I came away from Manila with a very negative view of the city - mainly because of the absolutely horrendous traffic conditions, but also because of its lack of beauty (I know it was completely destroyed in WW2, but the rebuilding hasn't gone well to say the least). This isn't the hotel's fault though, and the headline lists the buildings best features. Furthermore they offer pretty good value for money in my opinion. On the down side, the interior is rather dated and wifi is only available in the reception area.

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of a commercial shopping district Also near are restos and bar. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Great customer service. The rooms are large and all bathrooms have bathtubs. Buffet breakfast is reasonably priced.

The place is bit old & worn out. The room always had a smoky smell. The sheets and the towels are old, but clean. Generally the facilities were so so and the staffs were not very friendly. Location is good though - in front of a mall and quite a lot of restaurants around.

Only plus point here is the location. The hotel is so so with worn out facilities. Unfriendly reception staffs. The other drawback is no internet connection in rooms, we had to come down to the lobby to have wi-fi connected.

Last April 2017 my friend and I decided to go on a staycation near our place. We looked for cheap hotels with pool around Makati and we saw this Great eastern hotel which is located near Poblacion. It has an indoor pool and has a cheap price for an overnight which is around P1,400+ (Deluxe twin). We booked using asiatravel (This 3rd party booking site has the cheapest rates among others) The hotel has a vintage vibe. We got a room that is facing A-venue mall. Rooms were spacious but you can feel that it is old and not well maintained. The television and ref is oh so 90’s hahaha. The toilet has a bath tub and hot&cold shower. However what I didn't like in their toilet was the tub seemed dirty for me plus their drainage is clogged that’s why “bumabaha”. Their pool was an indoor one. And it has an overlooking view of the city. Pool area doesn’t have tables nor chairs for your towels so it’s up to you on how you will manage your things. Toilets too are not functioning properly. So it was a big nyay for me. For me the best thing about this hotel is their location, you can easily find it because it is just right at the busy street of Makati avenue. Plus it’s just across A-venue mall so food and stuff are not a problem, but mind you though noise can be a bit problem at night because you can hear the noise from the live bands and party sounds at the A-venue’s mercato-like place. So if you will ask me if it is worth the price? I think it is a NO. yeah I know it’s cheap but the comfortableness and cleanliness is not there 

The location is good, near to a super market and restaurants. Room is spacious but looks very old. Customer service can be improved, as I noticed some of the staffs were unfriendly. As another guest mentioned, the staffs manning the front entrance in the ground floor are nice & helpful. Wifi is limited to certain location only, i.e.., in front of the reception.

The hotel has a great location if you are looking for a night life and cafe and restaurants. But you have to consider that this hotel is old with old furniture and some of the stuff in the room are from the 90th century . Even though I am smoker , the smell of the smoke is un unbearable, you can smell it in the corridors between the rooms. The other thing is the staff in the reception, they meet you with their strange look such as "why are you booking in our hotel" . Not all of them , but I can say 90% of them . Except the men working in the outside entrance of the hotel , the are friendly and helpful if you need them. The hotel charge you for the water in fridge inside your room, which supposed to be free like the others hotels. They mention in in facilities of the hotel that they do a transport service to the airport , but when I ask them for that they said "yahh, we can stop a taxi in the street for you" which is my favorite thing service in this hotel.
