This one is right across Avenue Mall where bands play at night. The problem here is if you want to sleep a night, you can still hear the music which might give you a challenge sleeping. This is a boutique hostel perfect for backpackers. Free plated breakfast. Since its cheap don't expect too much.

When I had to extend my stay in Makati for some reason, I looked for a cheap hostel that is not too far from the area. Thankfully, Hilik Boutique Hostel still had vacant double rooms available on booking sites. I didn’t want to walk in and leave unhappy, without a place to stay. Other properties were already fully booked due to this period being the holiday season. My main purpose was to find a very affordable place to spend like 6-7 hours only to sleep before heading out to the airport for my domestic flight, and I think I was able to achieve just that. I also wanted a room for myself for added privacy because I knew I would be sleeping, looking really disheveled, and all that. The purpose was to catch up on sleep and sleep alone. I had a good sleep, nevertheless. They even offer free breakfast, but I didn’t avail this as I was dead asleep. I only woke up to check out. Haha! The staff were nice and friendly, and the property has an elevator working only during the day; thus, if you arrive late, you will have to carry your luggages to the second floor. Thankfully, it’s just one the second floor. Haha! Their front desk is open 24/7 though and you can check in anytime. You can also hail a cab or, better yet, request for Uber or Grab to go to other points of interest within Makati. Overall, the place was quite all right, and I really have no qualms about it because this is just how I am (I don’t require much and I am very easy to please) and it was super “sulit”. Real value for your money! I recommend this place to solo travellers. :)

Communal areas are just depressing, constant loud channels blaring on the TV, wifi didn't work for most of our stay. There is a reception, but staff were pretty oblivious and anyone could just walk in. In the twin room the noisy aircon unit is perched in a hole in the wall with gaps, so it was really loud at night from the street. The tiny window had a sheet of A4 paper as a blind... We mainly stayed here for the luggage storage - turned out to be just completely open shelves by the communal kitchen. Absolutely no storage security, which they unbelievably charge for. On returning we had the double room facing the side road, room was just as noisy. Breakfast looked so basic we didn't bother. Positives - bathrooms are fine and good shower; location is good near restaurants and bars.

It was okay, rooms were clean and common bathrooms were okay. Staff was friendly but we would have appreciated better english skills from some of them. Location was good, a lot of restaurants and a shopping mall nearby.

We stayed in a twin room for 5 nights. The room was basic but clean and the ac worked. The bathrooms were kept pretty clean as well. For us the location wasn't very convenient and if we went back, would find something closer to China Town as it takes FOREVER to get anywhere in Manila. This location might be good for people who just want to see malls as there are a few very large ones close by, but for those of us looking to see culture or history, not so good. The breakfast was simple but good and it was nice that they provide bottled drinking water. They claim to have a tour desk but they're not very helpful. The only tour they were willing to book was to the Taal Volcano and only if they had 5 people (which never happened_ so we ended up finding a travel agent in the area. I asked a girl to get me bus tickets so she called and then later told me I had to go TO the bus station to pay for them. NOT helpful. We ended up getting them ourselves online.

It's always more fun in Philippine. Hilik hostel is on best and main location. Hotels and clubs are nearby. All restaurants are along makati road. Hostel condition is also good. I stayed there 5 nights and enjoyed my best time. Management is very friendly. I am again going to stay next month.

Double room with shared bathroom. People should bear in mind that this is a hostel not a hotel or guest house. Therefore, the public areas may be busy and it offers a backpackers' atmosphere. Staff is friendly and guests are too.

The hostel is in the heart of Makati so you have shops, bars and everything you need just steps away. It has nice rooms, good breakfast in the morning and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The only bad thing is that the rooms that face the street are very loud as there are many clubs around. Just avoid those rooms and you'll be fine.

This is my second stay here. I've seen that they made some improvements in the hostel. But since there is an ongoing construction, it was quite difficult to get a good sleep. One thing that caught my attention is the staff. The front desk staff rarely smiles although he is helpful enough. Then there is this other staff who keeps on bugging me. I hope the management could train their staff more on how to handle their guests properly.
