Our family of 4 booked a 2 week trip to Boracay and Manila. Reserved several different hotels, transportation, and events. 1 week to our reservation dates, the virus lockdown happened and obviously, we couldn’t make the trip happen anymore. We were incredibly disappointed, and helpless. The hotels and airlines refused to give our money back, let alone even answer the phone. HOWEVER guess who was the most responsive, understanding, and willing to accommodate our refund? RAFFLES MAKAT! Over $4,000 refunded! When all other airlines and hotels can only think about how much they’ve lost and how many excuses they can come up with to avoid refunding their customers, Raffles gave back our non-refundable reservation. What does this say about Raffles? It is times like this that truly distinguish a brand, a service, or an experience from any other. It is what separates the great from the greatest. And I can say with a full heart without hesitation, that the Raffles brand is truly amazing. Unfortunately, we have never experienced their hotels in our lives. This would have been the first. But I will say, without even stepping one foot into the Raffles Makati or any other Raffles hotel for that matter, they have gained a lifetime customer. When this health crisis is over, it will be institutions like Raffles that continue to succeed and separate themselves from the pack. Their focus on doing what’s right will become the legacy that enables this brand to live on successfully - forever.

My family and I, including my 90-year old mother, stayed in a 2-bedroom suite at the 21st floor of the Raffles hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of the month. Despite coming in late in the evening, the hotel was fully staffed to welcome and assist us settle into our room with ease and comfort. Right off the bat, we felt safe staying in the hotel – from security screening of vehicles entering the facilities, canine-(bomb) check of guests’ luggage, to temperature monitoring of guests as biosafety checks for COVID-19. The lobby was awesome, and we’re equally awed by the spaciousness of the rooms, the high-end appliances and quality of toiletries provided. As we were all tired from a 17-hour flight from Washington, D.C., we all slept like a child under complete cover from city lights and noise. One of my sons wakes up early and orders room-serviced breakfast every morning, which a hotel server promptly brings up at 5:30 am in a well-presented table setting. Absolutely professional and exceptional service. The rest of the family ate breakfast at The Spectrum which offered a variety of breakfast cuisine – Indian, Filipino, American, Japanese including desserts and fruit juices. I specifically craved for their Arroz caldo, fried fish (danggit), longganisa and other Filipino delicacies. The rest of the day was spent shopping, as Raffles hotel is a walk-away from Glorietta and Greenbelt shopping stores. My wife and I often visited the gym and swam at the 4th floor pool, as the Raffles’ pool located in the 9th floor was under renovation (minor disappointment). All in all, from arrival to departure, the hotel staff provided exceptional service and our stay at Raffles hotel was nothing short of a very pleasant experience. Will I be coming back to stay in this hotel? Absolutely!

We stayed at Raffles for a whole week. We love the spaciousness and luxurious feeling of the suite. There were little hiccups along the way, but all were handled with professionalism and grace. Kudos to your excellent staff who really made us feel at home and well taken care of. Love the Mireio breakfasts and the afternoon tea and cocktails at the Writers Lounge. The music at Mistral needs much improvement. Will definitely stay in Raffles again next time we're back in Manila. Hopefully the Raffles pool is back in business by then :) Maraming Salamat!

My visit occurred during the threat of corona virus pandemic. The Philippines has only 3-4 reported cases (all non-Filipinos). While most people were wearing masks, there are some hotels that really overdo it (like the New World Hotel) where even servers at the piano lounge were all wearing masks). Raffles on the other hand, has unmasked people/ security checking temperature, just like the other hotels and malls, no one was wearing a mask. It is a standard SOP for most public places to have a monitor tot check your body temperature as you enter. The staff is really respectful and pleasant. And none of the servers are walking around in masks. Wearing a mask protects the people around you from being infected if you were exposed. So if you are wearing a mask, I would think you should not be working at all because you may have been exposed. The Long Bar- similar time the one in Raffles Singapore. There is a live performer and is cozy. But I preferred having my drinks at the Mistral lounge instead. It has an outdoor bar and a DJ, and I can enjoy the view of the city while drinking Raffles signature cocktail, Singapore Sling. It was very refreshing with the right amount of alcohol. A lot of little plates/appetizer to choose from- I like the chicharon ( crispy with a touch of vinegar), and you also get a complimentary bucket of salt & vinegar popcorn. One thing you can do too is, get your Singapore Sling , at the Long Bar at the hotel reception level, and enjoy the music and the peanuts. Make sure you throw the shells on the floor, then go up the 9th floor to Mistral and enjoy your next Singapore Sling (s) with a great view. (raffles.com)

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property and we are always impressed by what a fantastic team Raffles Makati have when it comes to exceptional customer service. We stay in some of the best hotels available and Raffles Makati service is second to none. The Executive suite we stayed in was, as always, spacious clean and decorated to a high standard. Our Butler Dennis who looked after us during our stay was very professional and went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. Two other noteworthy staff were Kristine on the front desk who helped me with various requests including a late check out, which was much appreciated, and Ricky in the Writers Bar who looked after my wife for High Tea and me when the cocktails were flowing. Each were excellent with their service but the combination as a strong and clearly we led team was the most impressive memory I will take away and it is what will bring me back.
