Room and bathroom are depressingly small, no windows...felt like we were in a box. Tried to request for another room but was told there aren't available. 🤷♀️ Room needs cleaning, dust everywhere. If your claustrophobic like me, you might to check out other hotels in the area. Some staff were great though. First and last stay.
No parking space. Rip-off Hotel. Don't go here if you own a car. Astoria sucks! Website FAQs are not aligned with their current status regarding the parking space! Again, don't go here if you have a car and want to go around the malls near this sucky hotel.
I was looking forward to a restful and quiet quarantine and that was what I got at Astoria Greenbelt. Their staff were very accommodating and helpful while practicing the safety protocols. The food was good too - balanced and complete including desserts. Thank you Karla, Rochelle, Ronnie and the three other Front Desk and Housekeeping staff, whose names I was not able to get unfortunately, for making me feel at home.
The hotel staff were very courteous and helpfull. The room were clean, the service and food were excelent. Wifi internet signal were fast. Will definitely stay with this hotel again once the travel restrictions were lifted.
My husband and I stayed at this PAL partner hotel after flying from New York. Per government regulations, we had to have a confirmed stay of at least 6 days at an accredited quarantine hotel. Prior to returning, we had to rebook at least 3 times! Each time, the staff was very professional in handling the rebooking. Kudos to Jasmine, Xavier, Karla and Richelle. We arrived on April 26 and were picked up from the airport by Louie. He was the driver and the bell boy. Check in process was smooth and adhered to COVID safety precautions. We availed of early check in and we’re provided with breakfast. The package we availed included 3 meals a day. The food always arrived on time, with two litres of filtered water at breakfast and dinner. Karla arranged to have a microwave in our room. This was very helpful in reheating our meals as we were adjusting due to jet lag. The room was clean and amenities provided were sufficient. We had a window which provided us with a view. We needed this since we were not allowed out of the room for 6 days. It was easy to call the front desk for requests - thanks to Nel, Karla and Xavier. We had a swab test on the 6th day and we’re finally able to checkout today. Thanks, Astoria Greenbelt for making our stay pleasant. …
Chose Astoria for my one week quarantine stay based on good reviews in tripadvisor. I still didn’t really know what to expect esp with low price range and the pandemic protocols. This was an urgent trip and a stressful one coming all the way from Canada, for family emergency reasons. ECQ (equivalent to lockdown) was declared two days after my arrival, making it more stressful for me to plan for my Domestic flight to my home Bacolod City which is another province, islands away). The only thing that really gave me a. Lot of comfort was knowing I was in good hands with Karla. The moment she greeted me on the phone, and listened intently and calmly to my concerns m she made me feel like a VIP, addressing my travel and swab test inquiries, asking me about my food references and feedbacks., reassuring me she will find the information I need... Karla’s genuine service, calm and compassion is every comoany’s Dream of an exceptional employee.... she listens with her heart, she takes initiative to find information you need, and she goes out of her way to make sure your inquiries and requests are taken care of promptly. She is very professional and efficient making me feel like I was a very valued guest. Boxed food was regular, nothing exceptional, but after I requested only for fish meals, it got better for me... can’t complain, three meals Covered with daily rate of $3,000 pesos, it was very economical and room was very clean. I didn’t get any great views but I got some sunlight during the day, with complete basic room amenities, bed comfortable. Rooms are standard, nothing fancy. If I got stranded for any reason I wouldn’t mind paying this rate for another week,, it’s very good value. I tried a couple of items on the menu not covered by my room rate, but oh so worth it!!! Puto Bongbong to die for!!!! Their club sandwich was pretty filling and good quality ingredients.. I ordered puto bong bong almost everyday. The only drawback is the kitchen is from their other branch, there is a cut off for orders, The hotel striict quarantine protocols made me feel very safe. And thanks to Karla I had the best hospitality quarantine experience Inspite of my stress not knowing if I Will make it in time to see my 91 yr old father who is terminally ill and is waiting to see me. Thank you also to driver Louie always service with a smile. Congratulations for choosing the exceptional employees with the right attitude for service, which makes Astoria stand out from the rest!…
It was a last-minute hotel selection for this unexpected 7 days stay in Manila. The overall experience with Astoria Greenbelt was flawless. Their team headed by Karla their front desk supervisor along with Richelle and the other staff really knows what customer-centric is all about. They provided convenience and all support needed during that 7 days quarantine stay. The facility is clean and sanitized and the location is very accessible, not to mention great quality food as well.
Pros ・Transpo from the Airport to the Hotel (A bit expensive if solo) ・Good food (I liked the dessert) ・Room is quite big, comfortable, and has good interior (Would have been better if there was a window) ・The staffs are approachable and accommodating. They frequently check up on you. ・The check-in check-out process was smooth ・The establishment is well sanitized and the staffs wears PPE at all times Cons ・The internet connection gets disconnected (re-authentication purposes i guess)/slows down from time to time These are just me nitpicking ・No dust pan/broom or a vacuum cleaner (You have to clean your own room during a quarantine) ・No microwave oven (for when you want to heat up the provided meals)
I’ve had the worst experience at the airport, and moving forward I was glad to have chosen Astoria for several reasons -(1) the booking officer April helped me sort things out from Astoria Ortigas to Astoria Greenbelt as hotel bookings had to be changed right upon arrival because the change of hotel types for flagged countries, (2) their hotel driver waited for me for an hour or so till I was finally allowed to exit the airport and he was still kind enough to wait and bring me to the hotel, (3) I get a daily “how are you?” Call from the lobby during my stay in quarantine, and a good chatter from Jasmine- a need when you’re self isolating. You don’t feel isolated AT ALL. (4) FOOD IS AMAZING. Nothing is as good as being in quarantine with amazing Filipino food sent in ration (breakfast, lunch, dinner) that never repeated ever, (5) and it’s in Makati, if you do crave for something else- you can always have someone delivered to the lobby or send it in. The staff will bring it immediately to your room up, too! (6) Internet connection is the fastest. That and good reception for Netflix and for work-related chats/meetings, (7) and disinfection of hallways daily. Because I can see it. Touchpoints are cleaned daily and they also hoover/vacum daily. …
The room is clean but small. If you are a traveler that travels light, this will be a good base for you. The only thing I hated is how thin the walls are... I don't know if my neighbor was just loud or the walls are super thin. But they were giggling and laughing at 3AM! It's just a Filipino thing to have the whole family in one room i suppose. But other than that minor annoyance, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The bedroom has no windows. The breakfast was amazing. I would stay here again. Having an airport shuttle a plus.
