Bear with me as I recount my experience staying at this hotel. I booked a 1 night stay the day before my flight back to the US. That same day, I took a swab test as a requirement to enter the US. That test was negative. Unfortunately, that same day a family emergency happened & I had to cancel my flight & extend my stay at this hotel. 3 days into my stay I developed mild covid symptoms. Long story short, I tested positive for covid which was a shock since I am fully vaccinated with a booster shot. The front office manager named Karen was very helpful. She explained to me that I can't be transferred to a BOQ facility because there are no vacancies so I had a choice to quarantine at home or continue staying at the hotel at my own expense. I chose to just stay at the hotel so I won't infect my family at home. Karen was able to offer me a lower price for my stay that included 3 meals a day. The meals were mediocre, very small servings - 3 pieces of protein (either pork, chicken, or fish), about 2 spoonfuls of vegetable, but lots of white rice. No drink! I am not in the hotel business but the meals would have been better if they spent about 50 pesos more (just a dollar) for each meal. I would happily pay for 3 dollars extra for better meals & the hotel would have earned the praises of its guests. Also, I was on the 7th floor, a floor for leisure travelers & when I inquired what to do with my trash, used towels, dirty dinnerware I was told to just bring them out & place them outside my door. No instructions to seal them in a trash bag. Trash sits there from morning to evening until housekeeping comes & cleans the hallway. Pretty sure covid particles are in the air while leisure travelers walk the hallways day in & day out. They didn't even know how to anticipate the my needs of an isolated guest. I had to call the front desk everyday to bring my 2 small bottles of water! Is it too hard to just leave my daily needs by the door every morning - water, tea bags, toilet paper, clean bath towels without me asking for it? With all the mishaps the one thing that really got me was the incompetence of their Assistant Front Office Manager! I know your name but I won't mention it here. I had to check out the day before my flight back to the US. I already have my Document of Recovery from my doctor & also from the doctor of the health center in Paranaque since Paranaque was where I am supposed to spend the night before my flight. The assistant front office manager guy told me that I should arrange my transport with the LGU of Paranaque. He also told me that If I would use a private vehicle, an LGU representative should be in the car. When the LGU arrived to pick me up,that was the time the assistant manager scrambled to make calls to the LGU of Makati for my release. Apparently, Makati LGU has to be informed because the hotel where I was isolated is in Makati. We waited for everything for an hour only to be told that we still need to present a letter of acceptance from the barangay in Paranaque. It was already late in the evening & the barangay was already closed. Mr. Assistant Manager, we had plenty of time to secure that letter during the day if only you told me ahead of time. Because of your incompetence, I missed my flight that morning, had to pay an additional $520 to rebook my flight to the US & $30 to rebook my domestic flight. Also, you changed what you initially told me about transport. You are now saying that only an ambulance with an LGU in PPE can come & pick me up. I spent 1K pesos to hire the private vehicle, not to mention that the LGU who came to pick me up that night had to work overtime just so I can get out of the hotel. I don't know if you were even aware of the chaos you had done. On top of all that I didn't hear a single apology from you. I don't wish what happened to me on anyone that's why I'm posting this long review.

Had to do a lot of last minute Christmas shopping with relatives and friends coming over for the holidays. It is was also Hermes' birthday. We chose Holiday Inn and Suites since it is connected to Glorietta Mall. An ideal base for last minute Christmas shopping.  PROS: 1. Thank you very much to FO Manager Karen for personally assisting our smooth check-in, for asking how we were enjoying our stay and if any assistance was needed. The small birthday cake sent to the room was literally a nice icing on the cake. Very customer service focused!  2. Room size was adequate and had all the amenities of a four star hotel.  3. Food options were plenty being linked to Glorietta mall. High ceiling and tall glass facae of the lobby was conducive to after dinner drinks.  4. Gym was spacious and roof deck pool was relaxing. I had it all to myself from 6pm onwards, i guess the cold weather and chilly water limited guests from swimming.  5. We booked this hotel for last minute shopping convenience. The concierge was always ready to help with several trips to our room and car with trolly full of packages and gifts. Recommended!  COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. Most of their food outlets were closed. Only Flavors was open. Tried to order cocktails by the pool but no option was available, not even beer. However, we understand since they are mixed use hotel at this time thus the limited service and scope. Looking forward to a better experience when they shift to full hospitality status.  Overall, Holiday Inn & Suites was a relaxing and ideal base for last minute Christmas shopping.

My first tine to have a staycation again since pandemic. It was my bday weekend and i used my membership discount for 2 nights. I was acle to check in at 1pm (earlier than the 3pm check in time) The elevator used is a single elevator usually used as service elevator or secret entrance as the main elevators are used for quarantine facility. The elevators can only contain 4 people and 1 elevator make your trip up and down too slow. Aircon is really cold. I have to turn off my room’s ac. But room seems clean upo. Check in. There are no housekeeping during your stay. They only clean the room upon check out. So i have to call the housekeeping desk to tale out my trash as I was shocked when I returned that night and saw my room the same condition when I left it during lunch. The restaurants and room service has very limited time only. The buffet breakfast has very limited selections and it was a managed buffet where the servers give you the portion of your selected food. Seems the people are in skeletal force as the reception has only 1 staff to do the check ins. And servers in the restaurant are busy to notice your needs. It was good that the hotel was beside restaurants and big mall.

I stayed here for the quarentine; my initial experience started with disappointment, which began with not receiving the hotel menu until the 2nd day of my stay, lslow room srrvice, cold breakfast. However all that changed when I had a discussion with management; although room service was still a tad slow, considering the situation dealt by the pandemic, management's attention & immediate actions made the whole situation acceptable and if there was no pandemic, I am certain the entire hotel staff would have shined. Special SHOUT-OUT to the following who tried hard to make this hotel stay as pleasant as possible. Christian, Nona and Michael. Christian and Nina went out of their wsy above and beyond by helping me during a mini crisis with getting in touch with DETOXICARE who was not communicating with me ad to when I am scheduled for a swab test. Both kept me informed throughtout this ordeal and was very patient with my dilemna. They showed high professionalism and care especially when they sensed my frustration trying to reach DETOXICARE all throughout the day and made sure DETOXICATE showed up. Christian and Nona kept me reassured that I will tested before the endcof business day. Christian and Nina, my sincere appreciation to both of you, you guys are AWESOME and deserve to be given a position in CLIENT CARE SERVICES!🤙👌❣ GOD BLESS THESE TWO, they are an asset to this company.🤗 Special mention to Jethro who oversaw that room service to my room was handled in a timely manner and food was deluvered at the soonest possible time by his personal delivery. GREAT JOB MR. JETHRO BIG CUDOS TO HIM AS WELL.👌🤙🤗. Thanks Holiday Inn Express & suites.❤🇺🇸🇵🇭❤ I definitely highly recommend Holiday Inn Express & Suites on Glorietta, 1 Palm Drive, Ayala Center, Makati.n
