Not what it use to be, I've been going here since 2005 my home away from home. Staff, friendly and professional 👌 now all about the money. My son is now 13yrs and we rent the same room each year, this year there is a up charge because the hotel consider him an adult. 😆 lol same but more. Plus no free breakfast... up charge. This time the room is showing her age. Beds needed to be replaced, mini freezer is now empty?
I stayed for in the City Garden Hotel-Makati which is a very comfortable place for quarantine. The room is silent, full of enough coffee and water as I need. Space of room is large, clean, with a great air conditioner. The meals is good. As there is problem with television, a technician came soon and solved it. I am sorry I did not remember the gentleman's name at front desk. As I meet with him at hotel who are friendly and kind for my check in and they clearly describe every thing. I met him again as check out. What I can say that he is a excellent employee. At the same time, my colleague stayed at City Garden-Market too. He also declared a perfect hotel. My other colleague will stay here too on March.
Good value for money. Highly recommended for mandatory quarantine. Comfortable hassle free stay. All staff nice , helpful and welcoming. Ms April FOM, FD Matt, Brigitte, Optr Mica, HK Danica, Bellmen, Reservation team, Hotel transpo. Security Team headed by Mr Oca Bangayan alert and ensures security presence at the lobby. Delicious food, good full board meals. Well done Culinary IRD F&B team. Recommended to my family and friends arriving from travel .
I recently completed a quarantine stay at the City Garden Hotel Makati and was very satisifed with my stay. I had some low expectations going into the hotel because of the lower price point I was able to book at (sub-$100). Prior to getting to the hotel I had a friend send me an additional box of supplies which was waiting there upon my check-in. The room itself is a bit dated but clean. I didn't notice any stains on the sheets or towels. Of course if you start looking into the nooks and crannies you might find some dust that housekeeping missed but that's normal for all hotels. The main areas that you would come into contact were fine. The meals were better than expected and usually came within their one hour window. Majority of the time the meals were warm but if they were hotter that would be better. They were also able to follow my dietary request. There was enough variety but I did end up ordering room service a few times. Room service meals were definitely larger in portions but items were hit and miss. I would say the highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. They were extremely accomodating when it came to requests and assistance with the whole quarantine/BOQ process. All of the staff that I had the pleasure of dealing with we're great. I can't remember all of their names, but the ones I did remember were Maisie, April, Steph, Nicole and Ben. The employees and their helpfulness is what really made my stay enjoyable. Some other items that I liked about the hotel: - My room had bar sink and they provided dishsoap/sponge to wash my own dishes/utensils. - Had a window you could open for fresh air. - Internet was pretty stable and fast enough to watch streaming services. There were some occasional disconnects but nothing big and usually came back up within a minute or two. -A/C was strong and quiet. Things I think could be improved: - Firmer bed - HD TV Channels instead of SD. Consider using an HDMI connection instead of A/V.…
The hotel staff was in general unenthusiastic when they were certain issues that need to be repaired in the room. Room appear to be very old and not well taken care of. I was here for quarantine so the meals were part of the package however most of them came cold even after I asked them to let me know when the meals arrived at the door because her just left outside on the chair. They make you sign a ton of documents which is fine but you would think they would live up to their side as well. It's just an older hotel and may be due to Covid they don't have train staff right now. I stayed at your sister hotel and the food was night and day. So much better. I did order some meals which you had the option to buy room service for additional charge they also came cold and we're not impressive as far as taste. If you're stuck going here sneak in some sandwiches or something for the week…
