Stepping into the property is like stepping into a painting come to life: each component has a theme, each name has a meaning. The guest floors were from the eight significant periods of Pablo Picasso's life-reflected in vibrant colors and patterns. The Picasso Makati is stylish, engaging, and unconventional. It is an artistic fusion of inventive facilities and artistic chambers: a place for those looking for old, familiar comforts of home but beset with a promise for new adventures. At The Picasso Makati, guests are treated not only to an artistic feast but also to extraordinary accommodations accompanied by world-class service. Detailed Reviews
Arriving from Indonesia, we had to make a pre arranged hotel booking for our initial quarantine. I chose another hotel in the Makati area. But we found out before flying we were placed here instead. I was worried we were going to get stuffed in a place that wasn't nice. But to my surprise, the Picasso turned out to be great (and probably better) accommodation! It was roomier, even with the small kitchenette, with a flat stove and refrigerator. You had a proper desk to work on, a nice large TV and comfy lounge chair. The pressure & temperature for a hot shower was fantastic. And I enjoyed the scents of their shower essentials. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Paul greeted us with breakfast on hand. During check in, anything I might have thought of asking, Paul was ready. He was thorough with his briefing, which puts one at ease. He constantly manning the front desk with our requests and food orders. The housekeeping staff moved about as if not wanting to disturb guests. Every time anything was brought up to the room it was handled professionally. They gently knocked to notify you that items we're outside and managed even at a distance to greet you. We very much appreciated the addtional comforts Macky extended to us. The extra pillows and towels and evening treat was the cherry on top for such a wonderful stay! The only things that could be fixed/ improved on in our room was one light flickering, and that the larger showerhead happened to have small spouts of water that would wet the floor outside the shower. I have no complaints about the staff since whoever we came into contact with, all were friendly and helpful. For what we paid for, our stay felt luxurious - Coupled with that warm filipino hospitality that feels like home.

We stayed in a Malaga Studio. This is probably one of the best, or best hotel room design we've stayed in. Nice lighting, loved the big bathroom with rain shower and separate toilet area. Staff were very competent. The place felt like home. Why 4 instead of 5? The place is starting to age: peeling paint in the shower ceiling, yellowing grout, scuffs that needed re-painting, etc. Also, towels weren't replaced and I had to ask for toilet paper, etc. I had to ask twice for extra pillows. Also, perhaps management can ask cleaning staff to be mindful of guests being in their rooms and talk quietly among themselves. I can understand Tagalog and heard cleaning staff talking loudly, discussing cleaning assignments, etc. whilst in my room. All in all, we will stay in this hotel again if we ever visit Metro Manila.

I’d heard great reviews about Picasso from friends who did quarantine stays here - and the hotel is living up to all my expectations! Really nice big room, with cold airconditioning and nice amenities including cooking ware.
I availed of the fullboard package including meals. The food is delivered promptly every day (6am breakfast, 11am lunch, 6pm dinner) along with 2 big bottles of water.
Very professional service, kind and courteous front desk service (special thanks to Gab, Jose and Allyzon! You guys are the best). They assisted me throughout every step of my quarantine process including the swab test, and close coordination with BOQ. Really, I am so impressed with the first-class service, thank you!
Do book at this hotel if you have to absolutely quarantine in the PH!
Pro tip: Bring your own dishwashing liquid, sponge, and even laundry detergent if you intend to wash clothes as housekeeping will charge you if you ask for these items. Also ask someone to bring you a 6liter water jug, as the 1.5L allocation may not be enough for a single day.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights ( Quarantine) . Before the flight to Phils ,(we came from singapore, I already informed in advance that I need kitchen utensils, one bed ( not twin) & 1 extra chair.I also informed that the request is for the comfort of my daughter who has autism ( special needs teenager ) .The staff emailed me that if I wanted my request to be prepared,I need to pay in full first. Since I wanted everything to be prepared , I have paid in full while still in SG Then I reminded them again about my request.
When I reached hotel at 10pm, we were so hungry & I have a headache due to swab test. I decided to open up 1 cup of instant noodles to share with my daughter while im going to order from Grab food, but I noticed not a single kitchne cutleries were there , except the teaspoon for coffee. So my daughter ate the noodles with the teaspoon. I ordered food from Grab ( Jolibee) and I was not aware that the delivery will not automatically give plastic spoons and fork, so we ended up using our hands to eat the food. Also because only one chair ( the extra chair was not given , so my daughter ended up eating while standing up for both dinner and breakfast. I have chosen this hotel because they have a kitchenette and the fact that I have even emailed about my request , and they can even tell me to pay first so that they can prepare it, and ended up nothing was prepared at all, made me so disappointed. I am not sure if this is due to internal miscommunication. They should have been more mindful because the receptionist and housekeeping only works up to a certain hour at night , I think until 10pm only and they will be back the next day 9am.
Other than that, the receptionists were very pleasant and accommodating. All request were given promptly the next day. The room is very big and I love the balcony. They were very organized with the check in and check out. I love the desk and the office chair , I was able to work and also teach my daughter with some reading and work sheets. If not for that first terrible night would have given this hotel a higher review.

To be fair, the current Pandemic might have affected my overall stay in this Hotel and so is this review.
Setting the expectations of the guests. Well, I've had problems with the housekeeping. First day with them was quite well because I have seen the efforts in the housekeeping. Second day, I wondered why my room seemed to have not been touched despite my request for housekeeping. I had to suffer for a dirty foot towel and so I called frontdesk and they informed me about their housekeeping hours. I did not know this because there were no notices inside the room. Only a memo that talks about curfew hours with the imposed MECQ from Aug 5 to 18. You cant blame me as a guest because your directory card says Frontdesk and Housekeeping are operational 24 Hrs. Had I known that they have updated their ops hours I would not have expected that much and wouldnt have called many times sa Frontdesk plenty times outside their new ops hours.
Telephone line. I had technical problems with their telephone but to be fair they did rectify it naman.
Probably the worst part of my experience here was the quality of food and the service. Availablity of complimentary water is limited which is sad as it is only available during the new ops hours of the food department. I had to buy my own water na lang. Utensils are not even available inside the hotel room. I was told the first day when I called them about this that ops hours for the housekeeping nga daw is updated. So when they served the food sa room ko the first night, I had to use teaspoons. Second day wala pa din despite request. Kung hindi ko pa itinawag ulit they would not have sent disposable utensils on my Second night. Last day, I had to use teaspoon again kasi alangan namang gamitin ko ulit yung tinapon ko na sa basurahan na utensils. Mapapatanong ka talaga about the use of Disposable Utensils sa hotel na ito and would make you wonder if your stay is worth the price. I would not elaborate further on this because I have already informed the frontdesk during my checkout, but the food, is not so great.
Roomwise, it is big, even the comfort room is big.
I suggest they install a telephone line near the bed. For convenience purposes.
I would like to say that they did their best naman pero I really cant vouch that much..
I wonder what their services would have been if this pandemic had not occur.

Dear shamirakmad, Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your opinion on this site. We pride ourselves in providing quality guest service that we are customarily known for. Due to COVID-19, there have been certain limitations placed on our business, and our team has had to adapt to many adjustments in compliance to government mandates. During this period and as we have limited staff present at the hotel, confirmed bookings are informed prior and on arrival of the policies to help manage guest’s expectation. Our associates are trained and tasked to discuss to guests the procedures and standard in place during this pandemic, while assuring the comfort and safety while in-house. To which based on our investigation, the check-in agent who assisted you have done so, recapping the limited operating hours of Housekeeping and Front Office, a printed copy of the guidelines was likewise provided for easy reference. Meanwhile, we also have noted your comments about the quality of food and was immediately addressed to the restaurant management. On the other hand, we are pleased to read that you are happy with the size of the room we have upgraded you while taking note of your suggestion. We hope that this would not deter you from staying in our property again in the future and see to it that you enjoy the experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Until then, we wish you all the best and safe travels. At your service, Jane Taripe Front Office Manager

With an emergency visit to the Philippines for a family death, it was important for me to have accommodations during a quarantine visit that were both comfortable and convenient. The Picasso Boutique hotel served my every need during a difficult time. The extremely clean Barcelona suite had everything that I needed to heal and adjust to a new environment. The balconies were important for me to access fresh air. The mini kitchen equipped with a stove top, microwave and mini fridge were essential for the occasional cooking and storage. The HUGE bed was SUPER comfy with fluffy pillows. And the bathtub with separate shower were an indulgence. The suite had ample space for me to exercise and practice yoga and do laps while in quarantine. The Smart TV gave me access to all my streaming channels and the desk was excellent for computer work. Everything that I needed was available to me. The staffing were EXCEPTIONAL. Jose and Gab and everyone else who answered the phone for my needs were polite, efficient, and had every answer for me including any questions about requirements for swab testing and protocols. I loved the daily fresh water delivery and the fact that there is a huge 5 gallon water dispenser in the room. The food, however, was just OK and seemed too expensive for the value (they charge $10USD for a loaf of bread 😳) Fortunately, you may have food deliveries from local places delivered through a food delivery App (I used Food Panda) I would highly recommend the Picasso Boutique Hotel and will most likely stay here next year for a family visit.

The place blew me away, the rooms are MASSIVE, the bed was so comfy, the bathroom was big, with plenty of lighting and the shower head omg, could of stayed under that all day, the water pressure is very strong. They give you a refillable bottle of fresh filltered water each day. Staff are super friendly and helpful, even taught us how to us grab. It's located more in the business area, but still plenty of thing to do and see around the place. One down side is being a smoker, we had to travel to the roof every time for a smoke, even though we had a balcony on the second floor we were not permitted to smoke on it, which is a bit silly as they class it as public space, I paid fof that balcony space as part of the room, that should make it our private area.

Let’s get more substance rather than style, please. Get some kind of reporting structure in place from your room cleaning staff or institute some kind of review of your rooms. Once again the raindrop shower leaked from above the actual shower head. The 3 pin plug by the desk did not work and the hanging lights by the bed needed caressing to actually get some light out them.... nice concept but useless. Other than these frustrating regular events - nice staff, especially in the bar and a good location. Good gym too.

Since the other office of our company is situated just a few meters away from Picasso, our company booked Picasso to ensure our safety during this time. I’ve been staying here for at least 2 months already. For someone who’s been away from home, I could say that Picasso has indeed provided me a home during the ECQ. The following are some of the reasons why Picasso provided comfort in my stay here:
1) The kitchenette wherein you could cook your meal since almost all of the restaurants are closed and it would be expensive to have every meal/food delivered, it is very convenient that Picasso’s room has a kitchenette;
2) In light with the COVID’s social distancing, the gym is closed BUT they allowed me to borrow some of the gym equipment! This is one of the best things I love about Picasso because they’d still let you do your workout inside your room where you’re safer since we have to observe social distancing nowadays
3) The staff from housekeeping, security, and reception/front desk. They simply are the most accommodating and nice to clients. Despite the pandemic, they would never make you feel like they are keeping themselves away from you, though they observe social distancing, of course, they would still treat their clients like there is no risk for them. I consider them frontliners, really, since they are exposed to people who constantly goes out.
4) Last but not the least, Picasso’s management. They provided accommodation to their staff to ensure their safety. This says a lot about Picasso because even though they need to operate in the middle of the pandemic to provide an accommodation to us, their clients, they did not risk the lives their staff because it goes to show that they care for their employees.
There are more things to love here in Picasso so I’d truly recommend that you stay here if you’re looking for a place to stay.

We stayed for mandatory ten day quarantine, enjoying the huge space of the Barcelona. Although open in layout, there were colourful semi dividers which allowed a measure of privacy for two people. Attractive, bold minimalist design a la Picasso. No carpet, which is good for people with allergy. The two balconies offered a chance to “go outside” and stave off claustrophobia. Aside from a few moments that the front desk is not manned, there is usually fast and cheerful service. A small leak in the bathroom ceiling was attended to immediately, despite it being evening, and gotten under control (turned out to be aircon related). Large bathroom space with separate shower and tub. Nice bath accessories. Fresh towels and sheets were brought every three days. Large water dispenser plus two tall bottles supplied per guest daily. You could stock your pantry with snacks. Food servings were generous, though meals were probably the only minus, as a dish was hit or miss. Some were good and some not. If you don’t like the preset quarantine menu you may order a la carte from the downstairs cafe. Note: if food is really important to you, you might rate this hotel a 4.25, but I’m happy to give it a 5 as we are operating in unusual circumstances. Efficient RT PCR testing done on the seventh day. Grateful that a stay at the Picasso was an overall classy way to conclude our trip!
