Detailed Reviews
I had the opportunity to visit the St.Giles for a duration of five days. I must confess that this Hotel is so centrally located in the busy Makati area. The facilities were great and the food was good. Being Makati area, the only problem is the horrendous traffic in getting to and out the Hotel location which is no fault of the Hotel. Other plus points include the easy access (by walking) to the numerous eating and entertainment establishments nearby.

My friends and I booked two nights to celebrate me passing the recent licensure exams and our friend's graduation.
We decided to go for this hotel since it was priced really cheaply but seemed to balance out on the quality it can offer, in which we didn't expect too much.
It does help to go to a hotel without many expectations especially if it were priced fairly below what the market offers, because to us the hotel did overdeliver amidst the low price point.
The rooms were actually pretty decent. It may look a bit dated but if you factor in how much we paid for, it was more than enough for us to celebrate and watch a few movies here and there.
The breakfast buffet was surprisingly decent as well. For the price, it was more than enough to keep us full, albeit the limited variety they offer on the daily. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise.
The staff was the best part: they gave us the best service we could ask for. They were all more than proactive in asking us what we need and giving us such within a quick time frame. It was like literally having a genie on demand that would grant your requests, reasonably of course.
Overall, this hotel is one I'll recommend to the budget-weary crowd. The pleasant surprises keep stacking on, making it a positive experience. It's one that holds a special place in my heart wherein I first traveled with just my friends, even just for a staycation.

We spent our Anniversary here. And it was our first time.
1. The Security Guards are not welcoming upon entering. No greetings at all.
2. The front desk is nice and friendly. But no one assisted us where is the elevator although we know atleast a simple way to tell us.
3. We ordered food via room service but before I ordered I double check it first if there's a Menu on the room. But no menu. The Room Service attendant says that the menu is just there, so I find and look it again, me and my partner double check it but it has no menu. And some of the foods are out of stock.
I hope everything must take action.

St Giles is part of a chain of International brand hotels which made me trust it despite its very reasonable price. I checked in to quarqntine for 10 days coming back home to the Philippines. It was spacious, clean, Comfortable, functional. That was akl i really Needed. The bonus was the great view- the sky line of makati, sky line of BGC, and I can see all the way to Laguna de bay and the Antipolo Hills on a clear day. A small horizontal opened window was a big help against claustrophobia, and it gave good ventilation during quarqntine . Special mention to the good service of the crew. When you think about it , during quaratine the only service you will really get is food service, Housekeeping , and Front desk. Meals were delivered Door side with a door bell ring . That was done promptly and the food was surprisingly very good and reasonably priced- good job chef . Housekeeping was quick to deliver water containers , towels, soaps & shampoo, etc. Front desk crew were very competent . Know that you may have stuff delivered in just once. Thereafter, everything will come from the hotel . So bring in enough clothes and snacks during that one delivery. I definitely recommend the Place . It being right on Makati Ave, if it were not quarantine period , tons of restos are within walking distance

WE stayed here 2 times last December 2020.
We got a King size Room for 3 pax on the higher floor so we got a very nice view of Makati area.
Both date of stay, there is a lot of people checking inn that time but since we arrived late, we didn't really waited long for checking in. Very fast and easy.
The room is ready and prepared for the arrival.
The staffs were very courteous and helpful with our needs.
The pool attendant is always smiling and helpful.
The buffet breakfast is great and we really like the food they served.
The location is very strategic and its even committers friendly.
Lots of Restaurants around the area.
Jeepney to Greenbelt is just across the street.
ATM machine is just across the street.
Walking distance to Ayala Triangle and Century Mall.
Great Stay. Good for family.

This hotel should be rated 1 STAR.
My siblings booked this hotel several days ago for their supposed stay from dec 8 to 12 via Agoda.com and got a confirmation number 556220512.
My brother got an email confirmation as well. They arrived today from cebu, only to find out that this hotel is used by the government as a covid quarantine facility. So my brother went to check in instead not knowing of the situation and later was told at the front desk that it was cancelled. He was asked if he can book another hotel instead and that they will refund the money after 30 days. Yeah, you read it right, After 30 days? Estafa?
The hotel management is not doing something about it. They never received any call from any staff of the hotel. My brother went to complain to agora where he booked the hotel and was being told to wait, up until now, no resolution yet. They are waiting for over 6 hours now, and still counting. Very very disappointing.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your review, we apologize for the bad experience. Upon checking your reservation we found out that it went through our channel manager on December 07 at 3:46pm which means your reservation through Agoda was made a day prior to the arrival date. Please be advised that property announcement on Agoda Platform can be found at the bottom page prior reserving a room which read “Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the property may only accept guests in accordance with government guidelines and restrictions. The property may also request additional documentation from guests to validate identity, travel itinerary, and other relevant information. Certain public facilities and areas may be closed in accordance with government directives. Please contact the property for more information. In line with the ongoing COVID-19 situation, facilities at the property are limited to basic accommodation with some services unavailable during this period. To ensure the safety of our guests and employees, please be informed that the property has the right to cancel any bookings not covered by the government’s mandate and restrictions. Please contact the property for more details.” The 30 days refund process is the standard time frame for international credit cardholders, since the reservation was made & paid through 3rd party portal (Agoda) kindly note that your refund will be processed by Agoda not the property. Kindly note that no penalty fee was charged for this reservation. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this caused your brother. Sincerely, St Giles Makati

Stayed here 3 nights. 1st room they gave me didn't have safety box. Wifi in 2nd room they gave me kept disconnecting every 5 minutes. Finally 3rd room was fine.
Got a high floor room with excellent views. Location in Makati is excellent.
Price was also very reasonable.
Hotel has great potential but IMO it can be better managed.
Hotel tried to give me a room with 2 twin size beds instead of the room with 1 bed I booked. After complaining, gee they quickly found a room with 1 bed.
Carpet needs a good cleaning or replacement. Stains on bed sheets.
Breakfast buffet staff were pleasant and decent value for the price.
Doormen were very helpful.

On a recent trip i stayed at St Giles twice and both stays were very good. You are greeted well at the front desk and by the concierge.
Check in is very simple and as I was coming on a very long overnight flight from Europe, I had arranged in advance to check-in early - there is a small cost to this, but well worth it!
Breakfast is a little limited, but you can always find something to eat and the chef making the omlettes, is fantastic!
The rooms are good, some with fantastic views over Makati. You are right on Makati Avenue, so it's easy to get about and/or getting a taxi is no issue at all. There is plenty of nightlife around the hotel, so you won't go thirsty for a beer or places to sample.
Will 100% be back and this is now my go-to hotel when in Makati.

Nice hotel with a really good location. The room I reserved was a bit small, but for the price it was more than adequate. If you go out in the area avoid the Shooters bar located at the Red Planet hotel just down the street. If you start a tab the waitresses will add drinks to you bill you did not order. This happened to me twice and I did not realize this till I got home and saw my credit card statement. I got charged twice for the same bill, plus the waitresses charged me for drinks someone else ordered without my knowledge.

The hotel's glory days are long gone. The rooms are very small, need renovation, the bathroom is terribly cramped. Towels and bed linen very worn. There is always a very long wait for the elevators. Breakfast very poor. The area is noisy, noise can be heard even on the highest floors. Overall, I don't recommend it.
