I have stayed at Howzat Inn twice. I booked two rooms online and brought my friend straight from the airport.Although I had reserved two standard rooms at P1350,only one was available and the other was a larger room on the ground floor at P1600. Linda graciously reduced the price to the original rate. I felt the aircon could have been a little cooler, there again it was the hottest day of the year in Manila at 36.7c but it wasn't really a major issue

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with the value. Rooms are small, basic and clean, though we did hear one guest complaining of mice to the front desk. Definetly more for the budget-minded single traveler than for families. Howzat Sports Bar nearby has a fine selection of western-style meals in addition to traditional filipino cuisine. The inn is located near the Makati business district and is walking distance to many restaurants and night clubs, also a short cab ride to malls.

Recently stayed here for two weeks. The room is basic, cheap but comfortable. The only complaint I had was the noise of the traffic starting at 6am, but not a lot the hotel can do about that. My room was on the 1st floor and road side, possibly the inner rooms would have been quieter. The bathroom is small but an electric shower supplies enough hot water and sufficient pressure to have a good wash. The room is equipped with a microwave, kettle and fridge. With a decent mini bar also. Downstairs and around the corner (less than a minute walking) is the Howzatt bar. Mostly populated by expats, a must place for any sports enthusiast. The staff are all local girls, all with a smile and very helpful, also very apologetic when your choice from the menu is not available. The menu is varied including dishes from around the world and pricing to suit the pocket. Had one meal at Hard Rock Cafe (10 minutes away by taxi) while I was here, the food at Howzatt far surpassed the HRC.

Only suggestion to improve things would be to provide breakfast, although this is possible on Saturday and Sunday when the bar is open 24hrs.

Yes I will stay here again probably in the coming weeks.

I stayed here many times in the last five years. Was good value for money and close to the Powerplant Mall and bars. My last stay in February 2020 was my last. It was always hard to contact the inn and emails were NEVER replied to. The rooms have dated poorly and mould appears to be a problem along with water damage. I think the water from the shower and tap made me ill and after seven days I left. I cancelled my next stay and had a lot of trouble getting my money back. I had to show up with all my paperwork and press for it. New Verde Bar across the street makes sleep impossible on weekends if you are in a unit that faces Fermina. The inside rooms can be claustrophobic. Room prices are good and the Howzat pub is good. But service is poor at the inn--in seven days my room was cleaned only once and I had to request it. I asked for another roll of toilet paper and the girl pointed to the cabinet and told me to get my own roll. Could be a nice boutique Inn but has gone downhill with much need for repair and updating. Its like they don't give a heck anymore.

This is a decent place at very good value. It;'s not pretentious, but clean, simple, comfortable and as stated, it won't burn a hole through your wallet. There is a well stocked mini bar fridge and the aircon works a treat, although it took me two nights of sweating before I realised I hadn't turned it on correctly!
I have to say that the manager, Jonathon, offers exceptional value for money, in this hotel, and in the Howzat bar where food is good, atmosphere is very welcoming and prices are again very reasonable, as well as in the girlie bar with two great pool tables at the start of P Burgos (can't remember its name).
Compared to other hotels and bars in the area (I've stayed in 5 others!), this one wins hands down.

I spent two weeks at Howzat Inn and was very happy with the price-value ratio. Over the two week period, I stayed in 3 different rooms as I made weekend adventures to Davao and Baguio. All the rooms I stayed in had similar amenities, including in-room safe, microwave oven, mini-ref, and hot water maker for tea and coffee. All the beds were pleasant with standard filipino style platform beds and decent mattresses (not American style box springs). The A/C and hot water heater in each room I stayed also worked fine. The free wi-fi offered by Howzat Inn works great on the 1st floor and 3rd floor rooms. The room I stayed in on the 2nd floor had very weak wi-fi , which could be easily resolved by adding another wireless router on the 2nd floor.
The Howzat Inn is only a 5-10 minute walk to Powerplant Mall and a short taxi ride to Glorietta and Greenbelt shopping. There are many places to eat within a few minutes walk of the Inn as well as the Howzat Pub which is just steps away from the Inn.
I look forward to staying there again next time i'm in Manila and its really a great value for a wallet friendly price. I would be hard pressed to find a place at twice the price in Makati.

Stayed here for 3 nights, its just an average type of hotel. probably cheapest room you will get in that area, but probably on par with a room for 2000-2500Php in the same area.We paid Php 1350 a night. Good location if you want shopping malls as rockwell is just around the corner and greenbelt/landmark etc are a 30 mins walk or 10 mins in a taxi. The Howzat bar is very good aswell, good food. there is also a microwave and fridge in the room.

I was looking for somewhere cheap located close to Powerplant Mall and Makati. It looked OK on the web, but the rooms are run down, bed has poor foam mattress, the bathroom/toilet is awash with water after showering, aircon noisy, wifi signal too weak to do anything, most of the cable channels not found on tv, room not made up after the first day. generally grimey and run down. Good location though.
