Whenever we pass through Manila we try to stay at Charter House. It is a very pleasant and clean hotel in a great location with a nice price. Some might rate this place as a two or three star hotel and it is small and simple. The staff is always friendly and professional. Some of the rooms are small but on this trip we had a lot of space. The location next to lots of great shops and cafes on the Greenbelt is terrific. We will stay here again next trip to Makati.
Clean. Good food, it’s value for money. Great service. I couldn’t asked for more. City center for shopping malls, 7 eleven available.. accommodating staff. Stayed there for three nights. My mother loves it so much. And oh, newly renovated last 2017. No eerie feelings.
The location is unbeatable, within metres of the entire Greenbelt and Glorietta complexes (13 huge interconnected malls and they are building a 14th - go figure). There is a handy 7/11 shop connected to reception for water, snacks etc. The hotel provides two small plastic water bottles a day and when I asked the maid for more she said no, only two a day. That's OK, she's just doing her job, but it's nowhere near enough - also I wish all hotels would stop using plastic bottles. The room was big and light, with an art-deco style curved window overlooking the street and malls. The bathroom was small but functional. All in all as a budget hotel in this expensive area it's very hard to beat. But, the downsides for me were no safe in the room - as a constant traveller being able to…
Good value for money... Clean, confortable and well located but nothing else... It is a good hotel if you plan to spend a couple of nights in Manila and you will spend all day around the city... The best is that this hotel is in front of Greenbelt Shopping mall where you can find lots of shops, restaurants, etc... The worst is the breakfast, please avoid to book the room with breakfast included because you will lose your money... The breakfast is horrible and they do not give you any alternative... The rooms are old but clean... Not too bad...
My husband chose this hotel over 3-star hotels and B&B we looked into. And both of us were pleasantly surprised. We both think the staff and facilities are 3-star quality. The hotel it self is unpretentious. The rooms comfortably large and very clean and the staff are helpful. Airport transfer is not ridiculously priced and on-time. Twas a pleasant 20-minutes ride to NAIA Terminal 3. The car was immaculately clean. They serve filipino breakfast from 6am until 10am and you can opt for non-rice menu if you wish. Service was quick. We can not fault Charter House for anything. The hotel is literary across Greenbelt Malls and Ayala Triangle and walking distance from the train station. We were a stone throw away from pubs, cafes and restaurants that serve high quality food and drinks.…
