This hotel is clean and modern. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. It has an awesome rooftop bar too with spectacular views of Makati that serves great cocktails. Unfortunately it's in an awkward part of Makati which means taxis seldom come by.

Whats Good - Staff is good helpfull caring - Rooms are clean - Spa, Gym and nice Terrace Bar What's i didnt like - Location is sad - you wont feel safe to go around SOLUTION - could have battery operated buggy and charge us to go around) - Bathroom door - heavy and wont slide properly - Wardrobe - open rim makes room look messy - Brightness - the side windows make the room less unbright....window on wall could have given better makati view. BAD = 1) SAD SHAPE OF ROOM WITH WINDOW ON CORNER... 2) BATHROOM DOORS SLIDING AND GETS STUCK 3) NO WARDROBE 4) LOCATION FUNNY LANE - nothing to go around if you like to walk

Shabby hotel located in very low end neighborhood. Although agreed with the hotel, didn't arrange my airport pick-up. Got two beds instead of a king size. Breakfast is uneatable,, andI had to go to a nearby supermarket to get yoghurt, fruits, break and muesli. Sheets are stained, not changed. Housekeeping doesn't replenish coffee unless you ask. Poor amenities. Substandard service. Been traveling around the world and don't remember being so disappointed at any other hotel so much. Don't believe the fake 4-5 star reviews.... just avoid the hotel. They have zero interest or knowledge in hospitality.

The Ramada Encore hotel in Makati is located in an uninviting street. The girl that checked me in was lovely and I had a problem with the air conditioning in my room stopped working and staff were attentive in changing my rooms once identifying the fault was something that required a service, so the staff here are friendly and profesional. The rooms are a good size however there's not a great deal else that I could say that was positive about the property  The door to enter the room was out of alignment and so you had to really pull it or push hard to make sure it was shut. The room has wooden floors and there is a pillow top mattress, but the mattress still seemed to be quite hard for westerners and there are only two pillows supplied for a queen size bed. One good thing is the light switches next to the bed turn off the lights through out the room and the bathroom. There are two bottles of water, slippers and dental kits provided free of charge. There is a small workbench, tea and coffee making facilities, a small bar fridge which was completely turned off when I checked in so you had to turn that on yourself and then wait awhile for it to cool down which I thought was and was nothing more than penny-pinching and there was nothing indicating you had to turn it on so people may put things in the fridge and then look alter only to find they were still warm..     There is only a small LCD TV with a reasonable selection of English speaking channels but I have no idea why they have such small TVs in a modern Hotel. A fail there. Even cheaper hotels I stayed in had large flat screen TV’s The second room I was moved to after an air conditioning failure the TV was like watching it through a snow storm with terrible reception. There was an area to put your luggage in the first room but this wasn’t available in the second room I was moved too. The bathroom is a reasonable size & a good feature in the bathroom is the mirror. It has an illuminated button right in the lower centre of the mirror and if you need good light for doing things such as shaving or someone wanting to put on makeup you press this ‘touch’ button and it illuminates a white LED light right around the perimeter of the mirror offering good lighting directly in front of you onto your face rather than from behind or overhead. Well thought out. The shower is an extreme disappointment and I would give it a 2 out of 10 at best. It has a rainfall shower head and the water pressure is dismal and when you turn on the shower you cant enjoy your shower because the water pressure is so poor, and to add insult to injury if someone turns on a tap in one of the other rooms the water temperature goes hot and cold and remains cool until they turn it off in the other room which throughout my stay meant 90% of your shower tie was with a trickle of water at a slightly above cold temperature. As soon as someone in another room uses the water the water pressure deteriorates dramatically until it's like a trickle. It's poorly installed and should not be happening in a multi room hotel.  After returning from out in the heat, or doing a workout or anything, you can't come back and enjoy good shower it's more like someone holding a watering can over you with gravity fed water flow rather than any sort of pressure. They provide a small tube of body wash also 1 of shampoo and 1 of conditioner. The hotel advertises it has a gym which is located on the first floor but there's no signage for information telling you that anywhere, not even on the panel in the lifts which is poor. When you attend the gym all the lights and air conditioning are turned off so it is hot and stuffy and there is also a sauna but it wasn't working. Staff did tell me if I wanted to use the sauna give them 10 minutes notice but they never mentioned it wasn't working at all and there's an out of order sign on it.  Anyone who knows how to operate a sauna it takes at least half an hour to get up to temperature so just another waste of facilities for the sake of trying to save a few dollars. I went in to use the gym and it was hot and stuff he has the air conditioning was turned off I turned on my lights myself and looked around but there was no control for the air conditioner anyway so I did the short workouts and left again I would rate the gym probably 3 out of 10. Keeping the lights and air conditioning off in the gym just to save a couple of dollars in power is nothing more than being a Scrooge and does nothing to encourage or impress customers. The second night in my room the air conditioner kept cutting off every 1 to 2 minutes and after a couple of hours  I contacted reception and they sent someone up who turned it on and left and I called them back 2 minutes later telling them the same thing happened again. The staff member returned and couldn’t rectify the issue and then professionally and quickly organised me another room. Finally the walls are paper thin and you can here loud conversations of customers and staff calling out in the corridors from the early hours of the morning and waking you and that is just another poor feature of this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel as there is better value and less penny pinching hotels located all around Manila.

We stayed here a few times and most of the time we don’t feel the need to complain about the small things we notice or experience but with our last stay we had enough. • Our door was jammed and I have to ask at the reception to reactivate the card (had the same problem before with one of our previous stay) but still it didn’t work there was clearly other rooms that were available but instead of offering as a courtesy and maybe offer another room we just have to wait until they get it fixed. Mind you it was already a late checkin because there was no available room yet when we arrived so we have to comeback. The bathroom drainage is clogged. Clearly they know what rooms need fixing but just don’t care fixing it anymore. • Previously we stayed at one of their rooms and water is leaking inside the room due to the rain. No effort of even checking back with their guest if everything is okay or even the initiative to offer change of room. I bet if it was a foreigner they’d be extra hospitable. We have stayed here a few times since last year. I wonder if they check it or they just don’t care and do not know how to take care of their returning customers. Thank you Ramada. I hope you treat your current and future customers with utmost care.

First time staying at Ramada Encore and here's what I can say PROS: 1. Reservation is hassle free, called the hotel if I can check-in before 1pm because I have a class. Jane from the front desk assured me that there's an available room already at 11am. 2. Check-in is a breeze. The whole process took less than 5 minutes and I am up in my room. 3. Airconditioning is working perpectly plus their slippers is really good. 4. The room size is really big, especially for one person, got two queen sized beds all to my self. 5. The highlight of the stay, their BED! The most comfortable bed I've ever slept at. It was really relaxing. CONS: 1. Breakfast is really limited. They got rice, 2 mains, veggies, pasta, soup, salad station, egg station, bread and cereals. No one was manning the buffet when I took my breakfast and almost out of food. However, their coffee is good. 2. I had a hard time calling the restaurant for room service. Ordered carbonara and iced coffee. Carbonara is just ok, the iced coffee is acidic. 3. The bathroom could be improved. The bidet holder is almost falling, the bidet trigger is hard to control. The most disappointing is that there is pubic hair near the sink plus hair under the sink as well. Hope they could really check and double check the cleanliness especially in the bathroom. 4. Internet connection is average and intermitent at times. Over-all it was a relaxing, quick staycation.

A lot of improvement needs to be done, my experience really fell below my expectations to cite why, please read on: 1. Lobby: the beige/light brown colored sofas were dirty, black stains were evident 2. Service: I requested for a laundry bag and it took them forever (3 hours) to provide it, that is after 3 follow ups 3. Breakfast: 1st, Buffet coupons are nit provided upon check in so you need to line up at their front office to secure it prior to entry to their restaurant area, i suggested that why not provide it upon check in or make it available at their restaurant area, fell on deaf ears, all i got was a blank stare, 2nd, food ran out repeatedly and was not refilled unless a guest brings it up to their attention, what sucks more was when an Oriental looking man not sure if Chinese, Korean or Japanese informed the sole waiter that their is no more food, the waiter went to their kitchen area and shouted that Jackie Chan is going to eat and complaining that there is no available food, 4. Location: expect heavy traffic
