I love the fun and quirky design of the interior from lobby to room. It was consistent and the service of the reception team were great. It was a smooth transaction. The guards are very helpful, too! The family loft type room is so nice. Perfect for young and young at heart, not for the elderly because of the stairs. :) overall, it was really nice. I wish we stayed longer but it was just a quick stay. Next time will book there again!
The location was good. The staff were friendly. The food is awesome. I really like that they have rooms for work. They also have really comfy rooms to stay in. It was overall a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend to my peers.
Just a quick staycation at Poblacion. A budget-friendly hotel that you can stay when you have a night party at this location. Great value for money for those who would love to stay longer in makati and for traveleres who would stay for solo trips
I went to the hotel at 4:30PM to check-in. I drove to the place and called the guard to free up the rails outside to let me park my car. He suggested for me to park my car at the steel parking, which is odd because there's only one car parked outside. I insisted that I want to park outside, as it's hard to go out when I park on the steel parking. Guard told me that outside parking is dedicated for bigger cars, which still doesn't make sense because I came there first. Again, I insisted to park outside. What pissed me off is he condescendingly and reluctantly uttered: "sige sir, kung gusto niyo sa labas dito na lang kayo (in a disrespectful manner and shouting voice)." I don't understand why it happened that way, so I asked politely: "bakit ang sungit mo naman kuya. Ang daming parking sa labas, ipapagpark mo ako sa loob. Ang hirap umatras dyan kapag umaga." Why do we have to make it too complicated? And who will even choose inconvenience anyway? I've always been courteous to their employees. That treatment is unwarranted.…
This hostel was nice, staff were good. I’d imagine it was a lot better when it was first opened however rooms are a little worn now. We had a private double and the bed was two singles pushed together which was very uncomfortable. The restaurant upstairs wasn’t great - served raw food. There is no kitchen facilities. The lifts were quite slow as servicing a lot of floors. Quite noisy at all hours due to building works across the road and loud music being played from nearby venues.
We booked this property as it was a bit cheaper than the Hop Inn Hotel across the street and we are glad we did. The security at the entrance are friendly and attentive. Helped us load our suitcases into a cart and handed us an umbrella when it was raining. The check-in is located on the second floor which also has a cafe and a coworking space. The room is clean and has a minimalist appeal. We did not mind as we just needed a place to sleep and the location is great with restaurants and malls within walking distance. Cons: The bath towels are old and raggedy. They don’t provide face/hand towels The wifi signal is strong at the lobby, but very poor in the room. We had to use our phone as a mobile hotspot, this is very disappointing for a property that advertises to digital nomads. If they fix the wifi issue, I would give this property 5-stars.…
Great location and complete amenities in each room so it's great not only for solo backpackers but for couples or friends who would like to have a staycation within Makati's busy urban district. We even got a free drink and 20% discount on our food.
Apart from the discussion with the reception team about which room I had booked, it was a nice hostel. The private room beyond expectations and comfortable. The skyterrace was a plus and location is good
We stayed here overnight with a friend and initially booked a private room with two single beds. However, upon check-in at 1PM, we were informed that this wasn't available yet, but we could get a room with a king-sized bed on a higher floor. We were advised to wait while the room was still being fixed. However, after almost 2 hours, we were still not approached with our room assignment. Moreover, when we got in our room, we didn't have any bath towels and had to call housekeeping to ask for them. And when we got our towels, they looked old and had been in use for several times already. Not sure if this was a staff shortage problem or because there were many guests that stayed way past the check-out time. In any case, this is an area that can still be improved. Overlooking this, we absolutely loved our stay at Lub D and wished we could have stayed longer. The room, while small, was expansive because of its layout. It was also a good idea to choose a king-sized bed because it was more comfortable. But if you need to have your own space, the room with two single beds would be a better option. At first, having the sink outside of the room was kind of weird, but it was not that bad. The Smart TV function that lets us connect our other gadgets to it via Wi-Fi was also a nice feature if you want to watch something from your own phone or laptop with a bigger screen. Overall, we appreciate the chill and relaxed vibe of the whole place. If you're looking for a no fuss accommodation while partying around Makati City, or if you'd like to have a staycation with friends, I will still recommend Lub D. …
My friends enjoyed our stay for their birthday celebration. Place is cool and near food establishments. Staff is nice and most importantly, we felt secured of our personal belongings esp when we left for a time.
