The I'M Hotel, Makati is my home-away-from-home when vacationing in the Philippines, at least during the Manila leg of the trip. First, Makati is my #1 choice of neighborhoods bc it appears the most upscale in terms of dining, drinking, and overall safety. The red light district on Burgos St is relatively tasteful in appearance (at least compared to other RL districts in Manila) and has a much better vibe in general. Burgos has a walkable feel even though cars share the road. A couple of open-air bars add to the Strolling experience. And there are several (at least 3) nearby restaurants that are truly marvelous such as, Caruso, Sala, and Blackbird. My typical evening in Makati is dining out at the best restaurant available - usually a 10 min cab ride. Followed by an after- dinner-drink close to home on Burgos St, sitting outside an open-air bar, people watching, feeling the vibe. I think my go-to bar is named Cheers. Finally, when it's time to call it a night, guess what, the best part, the I'M Hotel is just around the corner. Walkability gets high marks in my book! Why disrupt the most blissful buzz of the day in a taxi amongst chaotic traffic, A leisurely stroll home under my own steam is much preferred. There are other hotels on the block, perhaps equally walkable, but even the very best of them are a step down from the I'M. The I'M is the chicest, and the staff makes you feel like you're surrounded by family. That combo is rare. The price might be higher than the others, but the payoff is worth every penny. Another big plus is rooms with balcony / terrace. A terrace is a must-have for me. The indoor / outdoor floor plan adds another dimension to the in-room experience. Thank you I'M management, staff, and board of directors. Great job! I'm looking forward to enjoying the fruits of your labor for years to come. Bye for now. Jim…
We originally were staying at another nearby hotel in Makati. However after the torture of 2 nights on the bed there we decided to try other hotel beds for comfort. I'M hotel is simply the best hotel i have ever stayed in in Asia. Wonderful staff , clean well appointed room and a bed fit for royalty! The wi fi is super fast and there is a 42 inch TV with YouTube. Well worth the modest premium compared to other properties in Manila. The only small detail that I felt could make a difference is the provision of milk for coffee in the room instead of horrid creamer. The management listened and agreed to provide me with a small quantity of milk . 5* genuinely.
Was in Room 3115 it had a cockroach infestation that was coming from a hole in the bathroom wall and Lost half a day moving to another room. across the street, Avenue mall demolishing and it's hard to sleep in the morning. I just wish they know by the system how many times have I stayed there and at least say welcome back and care about loyal customers.
The room and view was very nice, and the amenities (massage, steam room, sauna and Onsen Spa) made it even harder to leave. In addition the breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. That being said, the best part of the stay was the customer service which was exceptional. Cheers!
Checkin: I was a business customer and for once was traveling only with a Debit card. At the time of check-in, was charged on Debit card for security. Refund provision is only after 1 Month of checkout. You could have easily looked at granting an exception, had 3 more rooms booked alongside me; but you choose to say that we cannot get access to the room 8:30 Pm in the night. Bad room quality, DARK, less lighting, poor aesthetics & poor quality bedsheets. Breakfast: Almost had little to no breakfast on all days I stayed. Extremely found myself out of eating options.
One of the nicest hotels and excellent location! The hotel room was super modern and first class. One of the best beds I've ever slept in. Great layout with sofa lounger and nice view. I like the desk for catching up with work and tv. The breakfast buffet was incredible - they even had sushi, espresso machine, meats, eggs, fish, cheese tray. One of the nicest pools I've ever seen - an infinity pool with clear bottom so you can see the street below! The spa was also very nice. Highly recommended.
Excellant service orientated hotel. Good location for business travel. Close to business district and shopping malls. Check in and check out was very smooth. All staff friendly and willing to answer all questions
Our room was really clean and had a really great view of the city. The spa was really nice and was able to get us right in. There is also a cool rooftop bar with excellent drinks and food on the top floor of the hotel.
The staffs are really friendly and polite. The hotel has a good ambience. I love the idea of the pool overlooking Makati City. The view will be so much better from there. Also, the rooftop bar that boasts the jellyfish tanks and breathtaking view of the Makati skyline is my favorite from the hotel as I find it unique and new.
Super hotel. Good location. The rooms are very spacious. The staff are super nice. Great food, very well prepared and the service is good. The only downside is some items on the menu were not available. They could also do with some more choices on the menu. Also was not able to order wine or drink in the restaurant in the lobby. If you want to drink you had to go to the roof bar. This is very poor for a hotel restaurant.
