Not a lot of choices in the area but they are the only better option. The lobby is clean and airy. The staff are amazingly courteous! The food in the lobby restaurant is good and they have a nice mix of local, Asian and Western dishes, not expansive but should be enough not to get you bored eating there everyday. The crispy pata and kare-kare are good. The rooms are a little dated. the curtains in my room has some nasty stains and the bath tub shows her age because of dark spots all over. They do not have a mini bar but the free coffee (in sachet) is actually good. My only complain was when we were there the elevators were not working, and I got a room on the 4th floor! Probably the reason why we got really reasonable rates on the rooms.
The food and its presentation is very good. There is a good view of the hotel premises, pool, lobby, etc., Excellent cooking, the price, however, is a bit high. Generally good experience and service. Cathy entertained us very well.
Best hotel in Batangas with brilliant staff and a nice lounge and restaurant. breakfast is also good with plenty of variety including a a la carte menu to complement the buffet. Rooms are basic but clean and quiet and you will get a good nights rest for sure. Make sure you get a corporate rate otherwise this hotel is VERY Expensive for a provincial hotel in the Philippines.
We ate here for lunch and we did not stay at their hotel. Food is a so-so. I gave it a 3 and it needs improvement. But the place is nice with a nice pool. Amenities are clean and the staff needs a lot of traininh though. We ordered coffee and it took them a while to serve it. I don't know if the place is relatively new or already a fee years old since I can see a lot of residential areas not yet occupied. Their reseidences are so colorful and will make you feel like you are in Europe. A great photo op but you need prior consent since it's a private residence.
The service is excellent and everyone friendly. Rooms were basic but clean. We did stay in the original building. Breakfast was good and they do a great omelette. Good location. The coldest drinks I have ever had in the Philippines great. Well done Pontefino's
My niece got married in Batangas City 3 weeks ago and we stayed in this hotel for two nights. We had a great time as the reception was very accommodating. The staff are evidently trained to provide great customer service. The pool was welcoming and clean. They provided towels for free as well. Breakfast was a little disappointing though as there are very few choices for a place where good food is known for. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends visiting Batangas City.
First I would like to point out the positives. Good and courteous staffs, well secured as it has its own gate and fair facilities. The bad? - No wifi connection in all of their rooms, you have to bring your own LAN cable or wireless router to connect to their internet, or you have to go to the lobby to get the wifi signal. On my next visit, they already provided me a wireless router and that is because I complained on my first visit. - No outlets beside your bed so you have to stand and go to the desk or TV to charge your phone or laptop. -Shampoo and soap smells the same, so better bring your own toiletries - Location - you have to bring your own car if you want to outside late at night. You cant just walk outside as its too and there are not a lot of taxis roaming. - TOO…
Booked a Premium Room from Jan. 28 to 29 to attend a wedding. Had an enjoyable stay, although there was some confusion over extra beds for our daughters. The receptionist (Grace) and all the other staff were courteous and welcoming. Our room was spacious and had good AC, a flatscreen TV with cable, a coffee maker, and a minibar. Bathroom amenities were OK, but only 2 pieces of each consumable (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.) were provided although we paid for 4 adults. Buffet breakfast the next morning was very good, there were several options including garlic rice, scrambled eggs, pasta Alfredo, meat loaf, dried fish, pancakes, three different kinds of bread, pancit, and so forth. We had fun swimming, too! Towels are provided for swimmers. All in all we had a great time…
Unfortunately this is the only good hotel in Batangas City. The twin rooms are quite big but interiors, set up and lightings are really old styled already. Bathroom really needs renovation and cleaning. It's no advisable to use the bath tub! The lights are ao dim that you can't hardly see yourself when you are doing make up. Towels looks old. There are no other restaurant but the lobby. Process of checking out is not so smooth. This hotel is fully booked during peak season (holy week, christmas and new year). But is ok during the rest of the year. Suggest you try airbnb in Batangas City or book the suite rooms for better experience.
The good. , great friendly staff, large rooms , comfy beds. The bad, bathroom in desperate need of upgrade , felt like motel 6 in the 90's , big venue for local weddings etc so be ready for loud ongoing microphone checks at 6.35am . The ugly Food , while great serving staff they are let down by a poor kitchen that could start with a new exec chef
