As the title says it's a great place to stay for divers, especially if you are a beginner. The hotel is nice, I would rate it 3 stars. It has several diving location you go via boat, also you can dive from the beach as well. The diving is 5 out 5 stars. The place is quiet, food is ok. Another plus is that you can get there relatively easy from Manila for a weekend relaxation.

Another weekend of diving in Anilao brought us to the Anilao Beach Club in the hopes of finding a place on the lower end of the budget scale. Well, on that front it is on par or average when it comes to cost compared to the other resorts in the area except for day trippers, their 750 peso entry fee can be applied to consumables such as food and drinks making it very inviting indeed. We stayed for the weekend and as mentioned the price was average but we were impressed with the resort. Large a la carte menu, private dining cabanas and a fully stocked bar await which is a welcome reprieve from the poor selections offered by other resorts. Unfortunately the menu prices are what help drive the price up. The rooms are very clean, spacious and without fault. The dive shop is excellent and provides any mixture you require and prices are quite good. The commitment to diver safety is refreshing as no boat leaves from the ABC without oxygen and first aid. AED is also on site making this resort rise high above the competition in the area of diving. Security seems adequate, parking is available as well and the staff are friendly and helpful.

ABC has very relaxing view and comfortable nipa huts by the beach area, wherein you can simply enjoy gazing out the sea on a fine clear morning or kayaking.
But expect pebbles instead of sand in the beach btw as Mabini is a diving spot and it has a rocky coast.
ABC's day tour package is P750.00 which is consumable and comes with the free use of their kayaks, sun beds, towels and swimming gears.
If you wish to reach the other islands for diving or snorkeling(like the Sombrero Island or Maricaban Island) or the other side of Mabini - which has a sandy beach called Sampaguita beach, you can arrange with the reception of ABC for the rental of a motorized boat.
They also have rooms for overnight or multiple night stay in very reasonable prices, compared to the other resorts we've visited in the vicinity of Mabini / Anilao in terms of quality of rooms and food.
Food is served fast and they have a good variety of seafood and western dishes. They also serve desserts and our favorite is the banana split which is very enticing specially during hot days in the beach.
Local food to try for those who like fish dishes is the Kinilaw na Tanigue, wherein the cubed fresh raw meat of mackerel is prepared / immersed in vinegar and served with chopped onions, ginger and chilli.
Enjoy it with a cold bottle of San Mig pilsen or light beer.
ABC is very accessible with enough parking space and has very friendly staff which always makes a good impression whenever we bring our foreign friends and visitors there.

There is no beach - just a rocky sea front but there is a floating platform that you can swim or kayak to. The food is good and the service us warm and friendly. The rooms are basic but clean - not the most comfortable but OK for a weekend break.

if you are into diving, this might be a place for you. but if you are someone into adventure, no, not at all. you will do nothing in the resort but eat! haha. the speed boats are just displays. you cannot use them. kayak though is available. food is not soooo good if you will compare it to other beach resorts in Batangas. My kids were disappointed. They asked for a volleyball, not available! haha.

I initially planned a day tour for 4 people which was a suprise birthday trip for my partner along with 2 family members.

I wanted to drive us to the nearest beach resort that had a promising sea for avid beach bums like us while also ensuring we had a relaxing accommodation.

To my delight, we ended up staying overnight as we enjoyed so much we had to stay longer.

For everyone's info, Day tour is priced at only Php 750.00 per person which is CONSUMABLE for food & drinks, with UNLIMITED coffee / tea, and endless use of their amenities and kubo (nipa hut).

We had unlimited access to their kayak, snorkel masks, life vests and scuba shoes which an added bonus.

The place also has a volleyball court and pool table. So while waiting for our food to be prepared, we played pool and also enjoyed our overflowing coffee.

Overnight accommodation in their Casitas is priced at Php4,200 for 4 inclusive of breakfast for 4 too. The Casita has its own veranda, H/C shower, cable tv and air conditioning.

They also provide you with your own electric water kettle with coffee and tea making facilities in your room.

It was perfect because the place offered everything I was looking for- sea, relaxation and good food. They have a big parking area and is easily accessible from the main road. I did not have a hard time locating the place due to their map (attached) and Waze (Navigation/GPS app).

The sea is peaceful and abundant with creatures (especially when the tide is low). They offer diving lessons too.

I would definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! 😄

I stayed at the Anilao Beach Club with a dive buddy straight after the second Anilao Underwater Photo contest. We had both stayed at other resorts during the contest and found that ABC served great food. Much better than the other more expensive resorts. We also noted that they had the most accurate gas blenders. Nitrox mixes were spot on. Dive gear washing and drying was very convenient and the house reef is really good for macro photography. Staff very pleasant and arranged a very nice birthday cake for my dive buddy even though they knew it was his birthday hours before we left.

Anilao beach club is a secluded diving resort with not that many activities in top of that but this should be the reason why you are coming to this place because there is literally nothing else to do with the closest bars or restaurants maybe in Batangas city at 20km. And by the way, there are no taxis to call, just tricycles.
There is not sandy beach as such but a stony (pebbles) shore that requires appropriated shoes to get into the sea. However is quite nice for swimming, nothing to snorkel though.
Accomodation is very rustic, I was in one of the Casitas and hadn't even any hanger to sort my clothes. Aircon was more a fan than delivering cool air but bed was comfortable and the shower maybe the best thing in the room. However it was too basic even for me travelling alone, don't bring into the Casitas someone to impress.
The food is maybe the highlight of the resort. Decent breakfast and very good and diverse selection to choose for lunch or dinner (consider that you don't have anywhere else to go).
Be sure that you get the proper transportation from Manila airport if you come, either you enjoy adventure and bus hopping or arrange beforehand the private transfer with a driver that knows where is this place otherwise very difficult to find the way. The resort offered me a very expensive option that required 50% deposit by bank money transfer (that usually charge additionally due to international transaction) so I had to find another way.
I didn't dive here as I was looking for PADI center but seems to be very well equipped and organized.
In the other side I rented a mountain bike and enjoyed the very rural and authentic surroundings including Anilao village, the only issue is that heading towards Mabini peninsula you need to be in good shape due to the up and downs of the road besides the sea. Other than that was a magnific way to spend the day before taking my flight out of a so called turistic spot.
Overall, looking into the shabby status of most of the resorts around Anilao, I think Anilao Beach Club is a good option for this divers' kingdom with marvellous underwater.

Had a family member the Philippines so we thought of giving him a good time. We went to anilao. The place was simple but the water was blue and it was amazing. I enjoyed watching different kinds of fish swimming around me and with me. It was indeed an amazing time.
