It was my niece's and nephew's birthday so our family decided to spend it in Taal, Batangas. Our fantastic lunch was at Feliza Taverna Y Cafe and the rest of the day we spent at Taal Imperial Hotel. The hotel was a five-minute drive from the town center via the diversion road, and was in a secluded location in Brgy. Tulo. There were no signage going to Taal Imperial, it's a good thing that the place was Waze-able so I didn't get lost going there.

The room given to us was really spacious with two queen-sized beds good enough for a group of four to six. It has a television with cable, refrigerator, dresser, two cabinets, microwave, and dining table for four. The room was well maintained although the refrigerator was dirty and smelly when we checked in.

The hotel serves food but only until 7pm. They served really good sisig, fried tawilis, and steamed vegetables with bagoong Balayaan. The foods were reasonably priced and were served generously. If guests want to save, they may bring in their own food
since the hotel allows this without any corkage fee. I personally suggest guests to bring plenty of water, snacks, microwavable food, beer (if you want to drink), etc. since there are no available convenience stores nearby.

There's not a lot of things to do in the resort except swim, sing, and play billiards. Too bad, the two pools were dirty and there was a party with a lot of singing when we visited, so we ended up just staying in our rooms and watching TV. For families and barkadas who wish to stay in the hotel, bring game boards, maybe even a video game, to avoid getting bored. It's a good thing that the signal of both Smart and Globe was good in the area so it wasn't a problem accessing Facebook. The party finished after 10pm, after which, I had a pretty decent sleep because it was quiet.

Service was good and the staff were mindful of our needs: serving our food fast, providing us with all the utensils we need, and even extending their work hours until we are finished with our coffee break. Thanks a lot for that!

I'm just giving it a 4, since it still needs improvement.

We went to Taal, Batangas to visit the heritage town and rather than staying at the usual old/colonial houses within the heritage town, we opted to stay to a resort. Though I find old houses amazing, I'm having a hard time sleeping in one even if it does have the amenities of a hotel. Maybe because there are a lot of squeaks around old houses that makes it creepy... lol!

Anyway, back to the Taal Imperial Resort. The place is superb! They have 3 swimming pools 1 kiddie pool, 1 pool about 4 ft deep, and another pool about 5-6ft deep. The place is also surrounded with different trees, which makes the place feel cooler. The room we got was a condo suite good enough for 4 persons. It has 2 queen size bed, a 2-door refrigerator, a small dining table, microwave and electric kettle. The room feels like a studio type condo, which I find very good for those travelling with families. The bathroom is ok, though the shower in the 2nd flr area have poor pressure. Definitely needs improvement. Also, I find it odd that rooms do not have in-house phone. When you need something, you still need to walk down way back to the front office / parking area which is separated from the resort area. Also, the resort do not have restaurant. So you either bring a lots of ready to eat food or cook it yourself by grilling or buy near other hotels. Here is a more detailed list for the pros and cons of this resort.

PROS:
1. Hotel rooms are big and have complete amenities. Big refrigerator and microwave is a plus for me. Clean rooms and towels.
2. The staff are all very friendly
3. Secluded place and quiet.
4. Can bring in food.

CONS:
1. The place is hard to find since there are no signs leading to it. Even the gate itself does not have a sign. It just seems an entrance to a very big mansion.
2. No restaurant in the resort. Nearest place to eat are the Taal Bayview Bistro and Casa Cecillia hotel.
3. Weak pressure on 2nd flr rooms.
4. No phone in rooms
5. TV is quite small for such a big room. The TV stand is also low.
6. Additional locks for the main door, for more security.

Though I find many minor things for improvement, this resort is quite good. Overall the place is amazing and good for quick family outings.

TIP: If you are lost in finding this resort, just ask the locals where is "Mother Lily's Resort". They are more familiar with the owner rather than the resort name =)

We stayed at this place during Easter. When we arrived staff was very friendly, they helped us carry our bag to the room. In the room there are towel, big fridge ,2 king size bed and a TV. When we travel we love to bring our own towel and toiletries , that part was no problem for us. We also bring our own big bottle of water and just put it in the fridge and drink from it. We love this resort as they have 3 swimming pool . If one pool is crowded you can use the other pool. During the day we visit the beach and other restaurant in the area. Just ask the reception they will give you direction to some of the nice restaurant in the area. We also got visit one of the largest basilica in the area Basilica de San Martin de tour. If you are in Taal try their watermelon and their mango ...very sweet and cheap also. I'm writing this review because I was looking for some feedback on this hotel but only a few and wonder why. I believe is because the hotel is not near the beach, most people would love to stay at a hotel or resort near the beach. Also there was no wifi in our room but it doesn't matter to us as we prefer to just enjoy our trip and spend time with our family...and explore the city . But if you love the internet than this place is not for you. This place is good for people who wants to enjoy nature and spend quality time with family or love one....they don't have a restaurant, so mostly you can order the food and they deliver to your room.

If you guys are the type who wants to be alone and secluded, then check out this place.
When we arrived there, the pool is all dirty. Some kind of oil or who knows. We went there to attend a birthday party, but the crew should have manage to clean the place even though no one will swim.
Seems like the resort is at the brink of closure, there's a dull atmosphere. No shop or resto nearby.
And don't follow Google when you search for this place. You will end up on a cockpit arena, 3km off from the resort.

If you want a livelier place, check out resorts like LA familia, a bit old but can do the job.

We booked a room with one bed, but Lalaine, knowing that there will an event transferred us to a bigger room far from the function room. I think that is a very good customer service.

Lalaine was very warm. And was helpful enough in making sure that we won't get lost. We called her a few times on our way to Taal to update her where we are. She helped us find our way.

The room was, like I said, spacious & clean. I liked the feel of the bed & the comforter. The kind that would make you want to sleep the whole day. Plus there was no disturbance.

Bathroom was clean.
No problem with the water supply.
There was a table that we could have used if we decided to bring some take away food.
Place was well-maintained.
There were two swimming pools.
The place was pretty both in the morning & in the evening. It's somewhere you can have your tour pictorial.

This is just and ordinary and basic resort hotel. They have two pools for adult and children. A videoke and billiard table. Bring your own food because the restaurant is not functioning. I am disappointed because you need to ask for a towel and tv remote control. It is quite expensive for Php3,500 per night.

Okay, so since I am new in TripAdvisor, I will only write this review now, but I stayed here last year with friends. Honestly, I think this is a good resort for people who want to shake off the stress they got from the urban cities. This place is secluded and quiet. They have several pools, 3 adult pools and 1 kiddie pool. But what we enjoyed the most is the big refrigerator they have in their even bigger rooms! Usually in hotels, they only have mini-refs for the minibar. Also, we were allowed to bring in food, as much as we want! We also grilled our food, since they do not have a restaurant. The staff are great as well. Not sure if we will come back.

The place was very private and quiet, the manager was there to attend to us diligently. The room had good furnishings, but the TV was small and pretty far from the bed. But overall, it was very cozy. You could really rest after a tiring day. I would have given it a 5 if it had its own restaurant. We had to buy your own food outside including breakfast. The caretaker was very young with little experience on customer service and could not recommend any good restaurants.

The resort is very quiet and relaxing with many swimming pools to choose from. An excellent place for children to play in the play centre and children's swimming pool. The rooms are of a very high standard and the dining room even has a karaoke where you and your friends can entertain. The downside is that if you want a large meal, then you will need to drive to the nearby town to buy a meal.
