I'm rating Cocoons a 5 out 5 firstly because of the very attentive, well-informed, and approachable employees.

The Cocoon itself is relatively small, but that's the main reason why it's called a cocoon and this is a glamping concept hotel. They replenish the toiletries, coffee, water inside the room on a daily basis. They change towels upon request which is good as I'm not a fan of hanging towels outside hotel rooms. The internet is not good, we had to use our prepaid wifi during our stay. The bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable and of good quality. It would be better if there are at least hooks for clothes inside the rooms. Floor rug should also be in the room upon check-in, we had to request it but they gave it right away.

If there's a way to address the hanging of clothes and towels outside the rooms that would be good as it takes away the beauty of the cocoons. Maybe a cloth string behind cocoons, not sure if that would work.

Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. There are common toilets near cocoons so finding one won't be a hassle.

Pools were heated and clean. Shore is also clean and definitely "swimmable".

Breakfast at The Sands was okay, but breakfast at Captain Barbozza was amazing!

Had dinner at Captain B twice and loved the food, drinks, and ambience. 10/10!

Overall it was a great glamping experience.

We came here to celebrate the new year. They prepared fireworks for the "salubong".
The hotel was very clean and all hotel staffs were friendly. The bathroom and toilets were so clean and smelled so nice there were numerous cubicles so you don't have to worry and wait for your turn. The male and female bathrooms and toilets were separate. The food was great though there were only limited choices. The wifi was strong so you can use it wherever you were in the hotel. The rooms were clean and sanitized.

We had an amazing stay at Camperisti and The Cocoons at Club Laiya. The vintage Airstream Campervan and The Cocoons at Club Laiya were AWESOME! The modern interiors of both the campervan and the cocoon were very impressive, offering all the comforts of home with a stylish touch. The campervan featured sleek design with high-quality amenities like living room, couch area, kitchen, bathroom, shower, tv, 2 beds, air conditioning and WiFi.

The cocoon provided a cozy, unique atmosphere perfect for relaxation. It also included 1 bed, coffee, kettle, slippers, tv, toiletries, lamp, WiFi, air-conditioning and community bathroom and showers.

The food was great and both of the restaurants: The Sands and Captain Barbozza, with a mix of local Filipino dishes and international dishes that our whole family enjoyed like Italian and American. They have the best chicken inasal. We ate it every day. Loved the fresh mango juice too!

We loved the huge pool in the center of the property. Loved that the pool was 4 feet deep but had a kiddie area right next to it that was shallow for the little ones. Great amount of lounge chairs and towels were also available.

The variety of water activities, including jet skis, banana boat, UFO and parasailing were all available. My son and I did the parasailing and it was absolutely AMAZING! You gotta try it!

You can have events here too like birthdays, anniversaries or even weddings.

Loved the glamping feel of it. We also enjoyed s’mores with the fire pit outside of our campervan. We took the tricycle into town to a 7- Eleven and Alfa Mart to get the supplies. It’s about 5 minutes away from resort. It cost 100 pesos round trip. The tricycle will wait for you to get your groceries.

You can also get a day pass if you don’t want to stay overnight. Per adult it’s: 1053 pesos on the weekends and 905 pesos during the weekdays. Kids are half the price and kids 6 and under are free. You get access to all the amenities like: restaurants, pool, beach, towels and WiFi. There are also cabana areas you can rent out to put all your belongings and food, especially if staying all day.

The staff was amazing! Thank you: Elwin and the Sands Restaurant staff, Rica and the rest of the Captain Barbozza staff, Sonny and Elvie in housekeeping, and the entire receptionist and guest services staff; Michelle, Charley, Magne and Sheena. Plus, Gren, the Resorts Manager. You all are so kind and welcoming! We love you!
I highly recommend this place for a fantastic family getaway!
