OK stay, great location, can be improved

When we checked in, we were told that the local electricity lines malfunctioned and their generator was not working. We were a bit taken aback that this property was not maintaining their back-up generator, and therefore could not rely on it for emergencies, which took six hours to fix (6 hours of heat in a tropical country!). Also, their individual door locks were malfunctioning and were not fixed the next day. We had to ask the staff to assist us with their master key every time we had to enter our room. The overall stay was okay, quite comfortable, and the location was great. There are good dining choices nearby, and it is right in front of a huge supermarket. However, we found the room too small.
