This lodge is along Lt. Tacay rd. Same route going to Tamawan rd. Easy to locate since it is just along the high way. Private room with garage. They offer cheap eats too. Cheap rates for over night around 800 php. Downside is the other guests were making noise even at the middle of the night, same as the servers who were laughing out loud around 3 am. Choose the rooms located at the basement.

Since we are already at Tacay Road and the place where we are is already in front of Tacay Lodge, we decided to stay there and take a rest for the night before going to Manaoag church and finally going home to Manila.

Honestly, at first, we thought that the place was really for couples who would want to just have a one night you know?!? hihi☺

Why? Because as we inquire on the receptionist, they mentioned that the price of their room is 1000/night, same check in and check out time as other hotels, but since it's already past 12am of March 15 and we're also planning to leave by 9am we asked for a discount, guess what they have told us?

"Ma'am, Sir mag short time nalang po kayo."

Huwatt?!? as in short time!

Well, my husband just says "I am with my wife and son."

We've had 2nd thoughts on staying at Tacay Lodge at first, but then after my husband's reunion with his best friend since he is already "almost" drunk should I say, we decided to stay at this Lodge for safety purposes and for the excitement of lying in bed to rest.

Once you enter the vicinity, you would be asked, what's the enclosed gate'S with Letter and Numbers all about?

Since its name implies DRIVE INN, the couples who'd want to have a "short time" as the staffs would say, couples will just get their cars inside and that's it!

They've got us a room in the basement. I thought for the meantime that they'll give us their smallest room since we haggle for a discount.

But this lodge surprised us! I think a thousand peso will be worth your stay here, especially if you have your own precious cars.

1st the enclosed gates we thought of something else is way more different than we thought. Gladly, the enclosed gate will be for each guest's cars.

Absolutely! This spacious parking lot is all yours while you stay here.

It's like your renting your own space!

Own parking lot at B2

The stairs connecting to our room from the parking

So we've had an up and down room/lodge, 2nd floor is the parking lot, the 1st floor is our room.

Nothing special with the room itself, it's just a simple but clean room. It has drawers, well a comfortable bed, a table, cable TV, but sorry they don't have WiFi access, I believe the signal is really bad at their area cause even our cellphones can't find a good signal, given also that we are at the basement.

Would like to note, that compared to our previous post (Prince Plaza Hotel), this simple lodge has a complete complimentary soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, a plus points for that.

But wait there's more! They gave us a discount to have our room until 9am for 660pesos only. Since my son is super tired and sleepy at 9am, we decided to extend so my husband could also extend his rest before taking a drive back to Quezon City. And we are happy because an hour extension would only cost us an additional 50pesos per hour.

Budget friendly lodge in Baguio for someone as picky as me.

Rating:

Price & Value of Money - 4.5 out of 5 stars
Cleanliness - 3 out of 5 stars, because the bed sheets when we arrived have footmarks on it! OMG, it seems a "kapre" has put his foot on it.
Service - 2 out of 5 stars, maybe not all, but the receptionist is kinda "masungit". She showed us a room upstairs but after a couple of minutes when we decided already to get the room, she says someone has already taken the room, so she'll just give us the room at the basement. Makes me lose my temper!

Ambiance - 4 out of 5 stars, cause I love waking up in the morning with the view of the trees and mountains and the sun rising. (which I wasn't able to take a picture, due to the overwhelming happiness of peace ☺.)

If we would try checking in again? YES! We will! Definitely. Especially if we'll drive our own car to Baguio.

My family and I were going on a road trip to Vigan this Holy Week. We left Manila after lunch so we got caught up in the midst of the heavy traffic so we ended up on the road pretty late as well. On a whim, we decided to spend the night in Baguio to let my Dad rest and so my sister, who has never been there, could see it the next day even for a little bit. However, as it was Holy Week, it was pretty much impossible to find a place to stay on short notice. Luckily, we passed by Tacay Lodge and decided to check if they had available rooms, which they thankfully did.

We didn't expect much from the hotel as it was marketed as a Drive-Inn hotel. Pleasantly though, we were surprised with the value we were getting for only P1400 per night for a room with 2 beds for 4 people. The room was clean, had a tv, and comfortably housed my family of 4 for the night. The food was also super worth it! They served food until midnight so we decided to get their buttered fried chicken which the front desk recommended and it did not disappoint, especially for only P360 for the whole chicken.

The room price also included breakfast the next day which again was pretty good already for the price of the room. The location of Tacay Lodge was also pretty convenient for what it was. It didn't take us long before we reached the center of Baguio the next day, about 15 mins. The hotel also had safe parking which was appreciated.

Overall, Tacay Lodge was great value for money. We didn't expect to get the good service, clean and quality rooms with complete toiletries, and great food.

We arrived baguio late in the evening around 11pm. We are looking for a good place to stay for the night. We asked the taxi driver to bring us to any transient house that is cheap and at the same time comfortable. Surprisingly he brought us to tacay lodging house, by the looks of it, it is plainly a motel. Me and my friends were a bit surprise though when we got to our room. It is not just a motel that caters to couples but is also capable to cater to families. What we got is a room for 4 having two queen sized bed, own cr with hot shower and toiletries. The only problem we encountered is the bed is not that big for three each and the blanket is only one per bed, they could have added bed or at least extra blanket knowing the weather in baguio. The rest? More than what we expected, we even ordered late dinner for us there. The price? 1700php for the room, that is around 285 each- great deal. The service? They even keepsafe our items for us that is left behind, one eyeglasses and a headset.

I would like to share my terrible experience with this lodge. I checked in with them a week ago as I’m working on a project nearby the lodge and I work until late night and i need a little sleep daytime. Cut the story short I was sleeping and they ring my room and ask me to leave since my room was booked for the tour groups and I said I was supposed to check out in 3more hours and the receptionist insisted that I have to leave now and have to pay because magreremit daw cya she demanded me with a very rude intonation. For the very first time I felt like I’m not a human on how she treated me. I went to her at the counter amd paid her and told her what she did was inhumane and she repeated her alibi that it was booked for the tour. She never said sorry at all and she said she was going to transfer me because her colleagues were there but she never mentioned the transfer when i was talking to her on the inter phone.

Yesterday, me and my partner decided to be a joiner under Travel goals agency. And unfortunately, this Tacay Lodge became our accommodation. We were soooo disappointed because we don't have a choice but to still stay there because it is included on our package. And only to find out that our room was not well cleaned and has a unpleasant smell. Also, the sleepers, window and hair blower is dirty. We ordered a sinigang na bangus with 2 rice and a pansit canton that has a blunt taste. We ordered because we were soo tired to eat outside. For the second time, we got disappointed again because we realized that it is just a waste of money. Their food is not worthy for its price. And it is really obvious that it is not cooked with a proper hygiene. We can't finished our food, so we decided to call an assistance on one of their staffs outside. But she said "lapag nyo nalang dyan ma'am, kukunin nalang po dyan". She pointed the FLOOR in front of our door. So my partner put it beside our door. The next day passed, but we were surprised that NO ONE OF THEM DID NOT BUSSED IT. So, we think that its there habit already. No wonder that our room was dirty and not properly cleaned. Btw, our room has 1 king sized bed, 1 empty cabinet (without any hanger) , a TV, a disconnected service phone, and a 4 little dim lights. In CR, we got a 2 towels, 2 head and shoulders shampoo sachet, 2 thin soaps, 1 dirty hair blower,a broken handled shower with heater and a dirty toilet bowl. To Tacay Lodge management, we know that we are just paying for a small amount of money, but your service to your guests IS NOT WORTHY for your ratings. Just a waste of money to stay on your lodge. We will never go back there.
