The Hotel Urban, aka Oyo 767, in Baguio was a disappointment for the money. The hotel is multi-floor establishment with no elevators or staff to help with bags. The stairs were brutal for my wife and me. I’ll just list the deficiencies of the place instead of trying to describe them in detail. You’ll get the idea. 1. Television had one bad reception channel, Nickelodeon, and no remote control. 2. There was WIFI but no Internet access. 3. The bedding appeared and smelled unwashed. I used a tee shirt for pillow slip and personal towel for blanket. I suggest fabric softener. 4. Tiny closet space for three bed room. 5. One roll of toilet paper per room. 6. Zero amenities except dental kit and bar of soap. 7. One community water dispenser for whole floor which was empty most of the time. 8. Noisy hallways 9. No ice 10. No vending machines 11. Indifferent hotel front desk personnel 12. Difficult billing process thru Oyo. Avoid! 13. Zero customer service. 14. The bathroom was adequate and AC was cold, but limited towels and no washcloths. 15. One old fashion key per room. The hotel is supposedly South Korean owned, which is surprising considering its poor management. Thank goodness we only booked for one night and were able to relocate to a much better establishment the following day. My advice is to look for another hotel.

The Urban Hotel in Baguio City has the very best Western style firm mattresses that I've yet to find in the Philippines and that is the reason I continue choose the Urban every time I visit Baguio. Also, the price is very reasonable, especially during the southwest monsoon from June through October when they charge a special lower rate. Baguio City has 600 white taxi cabs that make exploring every part of this beautiful city very accessable at a low fare. If you like to eat then you'll be very happy with the incredible selection of restaurants here of every style. Baguio City is known as the Summer Capital os the Philippines because of it's Mountain climate, temperate breezes and lower humidity than any other place in the country. Not even the hotels offer air conditioning because of the lower temperatures, it's quite remarkable for southeast Asia!

PROs: 1. Shower with heater. 2. Location - city proper, cabs are accessible from the hotel. CONs: 1. NO EARLY CHECK IN - check in has to be 10 mins til 2pm otherwise they will charge you with 150 pesos. I don't get the logic on this when there was no other guest on the room given to us. 2. Breakfast - only inclusive on the package is an 85 peso meal (no drinks) on the resto inside the hotel. Decent meals, will not WOW you. 3. Staff - some are friendly, but the hotel is terribly understaffed, you have to be patient for the attendant to cater your needs. 4. Rooms - what you see is what you get, no hair dryer, toiletries are generic, no conplimentary coffee, no electric kettle to heat up water for drinking, cable is not good (all the movie channels are blocked), no airconditioning (considering it's baguio but I have to let you all know), ONLY one pillow per guest, ONLY one towel per guest. 5. WIFI - free but very very very slow connection, after one try I didnt even bother using it again. Globe is quite fast compared to smart. Overall 2/5, budget friendly but with a lot of sacrifice. If you're willing to sacrifice most of the amenities you want then this hotel might be a good pick for you.

The hotel floors go downward. Our floor was not really in the basement coz the skies are still visible in the window, maybe the hotel is just on high ground. No airconditioning unit (Baguio temp so...) but electric fans can be requested (limited number). They accept cash and credit card. Food counter is open at 7am. Breakfast food selection includes simple Korean dishes (japchae, mandu, rice toppings etc) and some Filipino dishes. They can be taken out (in disposable containers) if you have to leave early. Coffee is not included in the breakfast. Also, it is connected to something like a discobar so it can be a little noisy if your room is closer to the disco floor.

There are a lot of insects such as mosquitos and cockroaches. We needed to request for the staff to spray insecticide in our room therefore we needed to stay out for a while. The staffs are dishonest. We accidentally left my power bank and cellphone charger at the hotel room when we checkout. We tried to contact Urban hotel, and they said that their attendants did not see anything left in our room when it was check. They said that they will have their CCTV reviewed, since then we are trying to keep in touch with them but they NEVER responded to our messages again. After we checkout we went straight home so we are sure that the items are left at the hotel room. I won't recommend nor stay at this hotel again. It is not about the price of the items that are lost, but it is with the honesty of the people working on this hotel.

Let me list down what me and my husband experienced by staying from this hotel. * We requested for the top floor, which means that since theirs is practically in the basement, they should've put us on the floor as we desired. 3rd basement, really? * The ventilation window was supposed to be an exhaust fan - part of my recommendation. The window served as an entry point for bugs like mosquitoes and cockroaches, which we apparently have experienced. One cockroach we saw crawling on our bed. No wonder the sheets were itchy. Mosquitoes were all over the place. * No cabinet. No decent chair. No Aircon. * Telephone never worked. Dial - 0 or any number to call outside - NEVER worked. * WiFi sucks bigtime. It barely worked. * The cable service barely worked. Since we cannot use the internet, we were expecting that at least TV works and only more than 10 stations were available. * Last, transport to nearest terminal is hard especially when traffic congestion is happening. If you prefer a closer one to the bus terminal, do not consider this place. There are inns near the transport for a lesser price.

The room was located at the basement of the building. No air-conditioning, no cabinets, not even a table to put your belongings. The only consolation is that the hotel is new. Not to expect a lot since they offer the cheapest rate. No cable TV signal and weak WiFi should also be mentioned.

We have stayed here for 4 nights during my vacation in the PH. The room was somehow modern and the service was great! But be warned, the rooms don't have any cabinet for your clothes, an air condition, sofas or chairs, and tables. This hotel is good for a short stay, but if you are planning to stay for more than 2 days better considering other hotels around the city. The location however is quite nice, but comparing to other hotels, theirs is better. The top reason to stay here is the service. Staffs are very accommodating. The rooms are located under the ground of the lobby floor, given that, there's no elevator.

Stayed here for 2 nights during the Holy Week as the other hotels were fully booked. The hotel is new with modern design. There is a superclub upstairs while the rooms are in the basement. (just below the club). Our room (308) comes with 1 single bed and 1 double bed with a terrace at the back, 40" cable LED TV, complimentary bottled water and in-room slippers to use. Bathroom with hot and cold shower. No table and chairs, no aircon and electric fan. And it gets a little hot in the room since there is no air circulation as it is located in the basement even if we had to open the terrace door at the back for the fresh air to come in. On our second night, the loud music from the club lasted until 4am. In the morning, you will be awakened by occupants in the other rooms shouting and banging their doors (sounds like Koreans). The complimentary plated breakfast was simple. Location was around 10-15 mins walk to Session and Harrison Road. Toiletries provided but you have to ask for it including the replenishment of the complimentary bottled water the next day. Our room was not made up when we came back after leaving in the morning, and the towels not replaced. The staffs, led by Alex Cabigting, were nice and accommodating, though. This hotel is recommended for the young because of the club but not for families.
