Unexpectedly spacious room and bathroom Clean fragrant sheets Sumptuous breakfast and dinner buffets Accommodating staff Fast checkin and checkout I like that they have quarters for drivers Will definitely return to Baguio with my family and book here again
It was a bad experience from the staff at the reception area to the room itself. Key lock not working, drainage on the lavatory blocked, no aircon, no towels on the 2nd day and no coffee on the 2nd day at the free breakfast at 8am. The location is good since its near the church and tourist areas but traffic is bad too. A bad decision to book in this hotel.
This is the second time we choose Newtown Plaza hotel because we have a great experienced here last 2018. But the second time might be the last time we will choose this hotel. There are small brown cockroaches companions in our room. Cockroaches runs above the bathroom sink and tables. The removable shower head is broken. Everytime we open the removable shower head, the water comes out from the handle and spraying towards you. The bathroom sink faucet is funny because if you give all the force in opening the faucet, you might broke the bathroom mirror because the faucet is sticking in the mirror. I think the management did not maintain the cleanliness of hotel rooms and the functionality of the bathroom fixtures. Kudos for the smart mirror but the roaches are big "NO" "NO" Room: 709 Date Of Visit: January 31, 2020…
There is no aircon! Even it's baguio..it is not 24 hrs cold. . So aircon should be present. But there is no aircon?! Calling room service / lobby late at night is very difficult. No one's answering. Receptionist don't smile.
Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. This hotel requires a lot of improvement. Bad towels is poor quality, too hard. They don't have hand and face towels which i believe should be a must have and basic stuffs that s/b available. No aircon. Baguio is one of the tourist spot of the country. Its not cold 24 hours in here. Breakfast buffet needs to improve too. The variety of fresh salad is too poor, only serve lettuce, tomato, carrot and cucumber. Lastly, customer service, Hotel staffs should be trained to smile at all times.
Overall good hotel its just the receptionists dont smile, dont say good evening/morning or dont even look at me. It would be better if they placed a machine in the lobby where you can get your room card key.
the room is clean staff are friendly and helpful. breakfast is good. the location is quiet and easy to find. good view of downtown . lobby. is cozy. i will highly reccomend this hotel to my friends and family
The hotel is well-located. It is just a few steps away from the Botanical Garden and St. Joseph Church. The room is large and clean. It provides basic amenities. Free wifi connection is provided but sometimes the connection is slow. The buffet breakfast is superb. There are a lot to choose from. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Overall, this hotel is a value for money. I would definitely recommend it.
We booked a room here. No aircon only a ceilling fan. It was hot during the night. No ref to store my meds.No amenities replenishment like toilet paper. The stairs going up the hotel were slippery when it rained. Breakfast is average. Friendly staff.
- we missed basic amenities like bed table lamps and switching, so you have to stand up to switch off the lights; - poor quality cable reception and wifi, no bidet spray, no towel bars, decent chairs to work from; - nowhere to get drinking water near the room, just the 2 bottles per day, not enough; - there were flies on the food in the buffet servery which the kitchen staff ignores, and a prep hand had a big open wound on his hand while preparing siopaos.. ehkk; - what's good - courteous staff, adequately clean place, architecture is ok, layout bad.
