The room is surprisingly spacious and clean. Breakfast, though plated, is free and generous. Downside is it's around 2.5 kms from the city. The staffs are courteous and attentive. It's a cozy place worth considering in your stay in Baguio
It's inexpensive. For the price that we paid, we had clean rooms with very basic amenities. The staff were cordial and helpful, although the service is a tad slow. We pre-ordered our dinner to be ready by 7:30 but got served at 8:15. In fairness, the poor timing is compensated by how good the food tasted. Special mention on the karekare and beef steak as well as the spicy hot sisig. Location wise, it is a 15 minute drive to Camp John Hay on good traffic. If traffic is bad, going to the usual tourist spots will take much longer. If inexpensive but decent enough is what you're looking for, this inn would be okay.
Stayed during ASEAN holiday. Good: Room was spacious for deluxe type. With 2 twin beds. Good for small family w/ children below 12 y/o. W/ AC unit, hot and cold shower, 24" LCD TV. Beddings was also nice, slept comfortably. Food was really rood and affordable. Big serving. Hotel was very cozy and clean, well maintained even their small garden. Bad: they charge Php100 per hour for early check-in, even though the room was already available. On our last night, the guest next to us was crying so loud that wake us up at 3am in the morning, nawala lang mga around 5am. We thought baka may pinagdadaanan lang si Ate kaya ganun sya maka hagulgol. But hotel staff should've done something for the sake of other guests. Hotel location was a bit far from the city, hard to get taxi. So if you have car and have waze to guide you around the city, i suggest to use it. But hotel has very limited parking space. So by the time you get back from your touring, baka wala ng space (but if its off peak, this might not be a problem). Overall our stay was very good. My children enjoyed the cool weather, nice view, food and total experience in touring the city of pines. Will still recommend this hotel to my friends. …
Too far from the city centre where traffic is bad. Staff is very cold. The room, though big is dirty. The toilet leaks. The worst toiletries and towels. And they charged us for the egg that they served wrong, after telling us that they won't. Worst hotel ever!
By far, the best budget inn we've stayed in Baguio. I was going to give it a 3-rating because there was no warm water in the shower. But on our 2nd day, I figured out that most people take baths early, and use up all the hot water. I found out water's warmer around noontime. So after that, a 5! Why? 1. Really great price-considering it's peak season. For a twin room, with 2 double beds, we just added P700 for our 2 kids, so all 4 of us stayed in a room. 2. Room size was ok. With aircon, free water bottles, free slippers. Clean bed & towels. Cable. 3. Came with breakfast, too! Everyday, you can choose from a good variety. My daughter was so happy with her blueberry pancakes! 4. There was enough parking space. Since it's along Kennon Road, it's easy to find. 5. It's not in the vicinity of SM, so it's quiet and not crowded. 6. Food in their resto are also reasonable and tasty enough that you can just eat in if there's too much traffic. P100-P180. Tea is P40, P50 for a pot. 7. There are small grill bars near like Bruno's. A souvenir market 2 minutes along the way. 8. Staff were friendly. Only downside: 1. Bathrooms are a bit shabby. 2. Warm water on & off. 3. Only 1 wifi user per room. Have a great summer!…
It was a 4 days and 3 night. We were on a business and pleasure visit trip. The staff is accommodating. The food is affordable and ok. Our room is cozy. The ambience is quiet, not so crowded. Nice place to stay. For improvement though is their hot water, inconvenient to use. But overall, we had a relaxed moment and had a good time.
We stayed here last Jan.21-22, booked the deluxe-twin rooms. Air conditioning was a little noisy, but we opt to turn it off since the climate is already cold. We also had a minor problem with our bathroom - the toilet was clogged but was fixed right away. At around 11pm we called in to report a problem with the shower because the heater wasn't working. Again, the staff fixed it right away even though it's already late. Two thumbs-up for their customer service! Food is great and not too pricey. Location is only 10mins away from city proper. Highly recommended and we're looking forward to book this hotel again in our future trips to Baguio.
Location, far away from city center. Room size is ok, but needs improvement. Noisy rooms from cars in kennon road. Food is so-so. Worst of all, very unaccomodating with guest requests. Looks like the manager needs to go back & relearn hospitality. Never consider this hotel. There are much better places within the same price range.
If you're looking for a 5-star hotel experience with all luxury and extravagance, this is not the place for you. However, if you're like me who prefers quiet nights and enjoy long, meaningful conversations over coffee or tea, then this is a great place for you. My friend and I chose High Point since it's a little far from the city. Taxis are a little harder to come by chance, so I suggest either getting a taxi driver contact, or use GrabTaxi for transportation. What made the place so charming was not how their rooms looked or the amenities, but something about the place just reminds me of home. The rooms are OK, supplied with a bare minimum, but it feels like having a sleepover at a friend's house. You can clearly see the years on some stuff (particularly the bathroom), but that makes the place more relaxing for me. The garden was our FAVORITE spot. We stayed there longer than we stayed inside the rooms. This is where my friend and I have had conversations for hours and hours. We barely left the place, actually; we only got out for the usual pasalubong and visit some places, but we both yearned to be back in High Point's garden because there's basically no other place in Baguio that was quiet and relaxing enough. Their price on unlimited coffee was SO PERFECT for these long sessions! They also have a decent offering on the menu. I'm pretty particular with food, and theirs did not disappoint. Their soups are simple but amazing; it reminds me so much of home cooking. I am MOST DEFINITELY coming back here. I think I found my home in Baguio. :)…
When I got inside the hotel to check it out, I did not expect it to be nice or clean. The location is outside the center of Baguio and it has a very stiff driveway. I was definitely surprised that this place was absolutely clean and pleasant to the eyes with a combination of classic and modern interior. I wasn't actually looking for a luxury or 5-star hotel, I wasn't going to stay in a very cheap hotel either. I was there for an official business and I wanted to just have comfortable accommodation for an overnight stay, somewhere a little quiet but not too far from the city center. High Point Boutique Inn was the best choice, price worthy, with good customer service and good tasting food.
