Just some improvements, after they clean our room they forget to replace the toilet rag and did not refill the coffee beans. And also the room service was taking too long. This is supposedly part of the housekeeping

This Sept 2023, we had a 2-night stay in Forest Lodge with our dog. It was easy to book on their website & request a pet friendly room (called to make sure since our dog is ~24kg). Upon arrival, we got a complimentary upgrade from a superior room to a one bedroom suite (lots of space that our dog loved!), and we were able to check in early. Apparently, this hotel is from the same corporation as The Manor - so the look & feel is similar but not as high end. LOCATION This is the only hotel I could find in Camp John Hay that is pet friendly. They're what I would call bare minimum pet friendly - but it was perfect for our needs & the location. Camp John Hay was our dog's favorite last time we went to Baguio, so that was the biggest factor in our decision to stay here. We walked to most places wanted to go to like Chocolate de Batirol, Forest Bathing Trail, and Everything Nice Cafe. It's great to just walk around in the mornings. Next time we want to picnic as well on Scout Hill. BARE MINIMUM PET FRIENDLY As I mentioned, they're bare minimum pet friendly, so I would suggest to inquire about their pet friendly policies before going if you intend to go with your dog like we did. - Pet friendly rooms are right beside the parking, which makes sense because - Pets are NOT allowed in common areas including the lobby & cafe on the UG level. Hence, we can't review the hotel amenities because we literally would go from room to parking to outside & vice versa. We were only 2 + our dog, so we took our dog everywhere. This worked for us because we didn't need the hotel amenities much. - I could tell that not all the staff are used to seeing pets around, but they never made us feel unwelcome. - Instead of the regular 1k room incidental deposit, they require 5k for the pet friendly rooms. I find this reasonable since the room rates are the same whether pet friendly or not AND they do not charge a pet fee like other hotels. 3-STAR HOTEL The Forest Lodge is what you can expect from a 3-star hotel. There were small things in the room that were not well maintained - eg. step trash cans were hard to open, a part of the shower head would spray water in a weird trajectory outside of the shower enclosure, bathroom faucet isn't secure, tiles are lifted. But these didn't ruin the overall experience. The free room upgrade was the best & is making me think we ought to book the One Bedroom Suite next time. It was spacious & easy to access from the parking. They had a little pantry area where I was able to set up my dog's elevated feeder & water. The second bathroom was the cherry on top because it was easier to clean up my dog after our hike - didn't have to take turns & no mess at all. FRIENDLY SERVICE Overall good service! All the staff were courteous and accommodating. My only comment is that it was take some time for our requests to be accommodated (trash collection, water request, baggge pick up, etc), not sure if it's because we're in the LG level or if they were short staffed at the time. CONCLUSION All in all, would recommend a stay here! They're pet friendly & with rules (as expected) - so if you plan to go with your dog, make sure you inquire beforehand & are okay with everything before booking. Documented our trip through my dog's IG highlights if you want more visuals/details :) @floofballteo

Overall the stay was amazing as always. Service is exceptional, rooms are super clean, check in/check was fast and easy. My wife, baby and I stayed for 2 nights in a superior room with balcony. Beds are very comfy, good water pressure with heater. We also ordered room service and food was great. Don't hesitate on booking the Forest Lodge, you will not be disappointed.

Forest Lodge has been our favorite hotel in Baguio City for many years. I have stayed in many hotels in Baguio but none of them came close to the comfort I felt when I was at Forest Lodge. I especially liked the wonderfully-fresh air inside and outside the hotel, the spaciousness of the lobby, and the strict nonsmoking policy throughout the whole building. We were not able to visit the place during the past three years because of the pandemic but, a few weeks ago, my husband and I were finally able to go up to Baguio and took advantage of Forest Lodge's "Rain Drop Promo." We were both delighted to see that Forest Lodge has become an even better hotel than before. We enjoyed our clean and spacious room and the company of their friendly and very professional staff (from the guards, bellboys, reservations personnel, front desk staff, and housekeeping people) all throughout the three nights and four days of our stay. I felt sad seeing that all the stores and restaurants at the Commissary across Forest Lodge had closed. But it was an easy drive to the various restaurants in and around the Camp John Hay area so it was not a problem really. May I suggest something: The Gift Shop had a wonderful display of very good quality sweatshirts, hoodies, and t-shirts. I really wanted to buy some for myself and for "pasalubong" but I did not like that they had such huge letterings of "Camp John Hay" and the like. It made them a bit too tacky to wear because of those huge letterings. Hope you could give your supplier that feedback. Congratulations on being the best place to stay in the whole of Baguio, Forest Lodge!!! --- Monette B.

Booked a room via email, asked for a surprise set-up in the room for my brother's 40th birthday, and I was immediately assisted with constant communication. However, there was inclement weather during the booked schedule, and my request to move the date was immediately accommodated. The room was spacious, clean and very near the lobby/restaurant. We would have wanted a room with a better view, since our room was on the ground floor and our view was the parking lot. Nevertheless, we had so much fun, especially since all the personnel are very courteous, attentive & friendly. It felt like home away from home. We had such an awesome time that we planned to visit Baguio regularly and stay at the Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay!

Room 554. I booked through a 3rd party service and was expecting a less-than-ideal room. But to my surprise the room was "as described" really big, complete amenities and comfortable. And the forest view was the best. Really felt that I was "in Baguio". Everything worked properly and assistance was there when needed (I'm not really a demanding person). Personally I would like the pillows and bed to be less soft but my companion had no issues with it and slept soundly both nights. The distance from the city center may be an issue particularly if you're not driving but if you want to feel as if you're really away from the city, this location is one of the better ones. We didn't really get try the food in the place but there are a lot of establishments nearby where you can eat... And everything else is a nearby drive. Wi-Fi ☑ Hot water ☑ Functioning flush ☑ Bidet ☑ Hair dryer ☑ Ref ☑ TV with cable ☑ Parking ☑ Shower ☑ There is no AC but a portable aircooler is provided. We really didn't need an AC during our stay. Definitely a place to consider when I go back.

Rooms are clean and also the comfort rooms. Beds are big as well. The place is very relaxing and quiet. We had fun! Though in the parking, we had a hard time coming out especially when you have a big car and all the spaces are occupied. Spaces for cars are too narrow. But then, we'll definitely come back. Thanks!

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They always greeted us everytime they see us. The hotel lobby is cozy. Rooms are clean. I just had one issue during our stay. Our room was overlooking the parking lot and I was not able to take a nap as the sound of the jackhammer and the construction were pounding my ears. However, I will definitely go back.
