pick season in baguio and the only hotel leftwith available room is the skyrise. The place is a bit far from the city proper. The rooms are old and spooky. The smell in the room was not so good. Smells like old books or box with cockroaches. Good thing hot water is working. Regarding with the staff, they are so friendly and accommodating. The guard, the receptionist, the room boy and waiter are nice.

Me and my family originally was planning for a 4 day vacation at Palawan but we were cut short due to planning too late for the trip 'specially my mother wants our vacations runnin' smooth and without any kind of problem. So we back downed and decided for a 3 days and 2 Nights trip in Baguio during the First Night we stayed at Inn Rocio (A Hotel wherein we kept returning at because of their service, value and rooms.) We negotiated with the personnel in order to stay but for a night only. So that means we need another place to stay in. There we found this Hotel. First Impression is rather odd, The place is a converted from a Hospital ( I guess) The personnel were nice and fast but when we were brought to the room we were about to stay,on the way to the room is like your in a horror movie every floor you descend a nurse station is seen. Once we were on the room the floor mats have some sort of stain, the mirror has some sort of black stain covering it.Truth is I had trouble sleeping. The next day, when I was taking a bath, I felt being watched by someone opposite of me and opposite means that mirror I was talking about. So please if you wanna have a real vacation I advise don't go here.

4787.50Php wasted on Christmas Day 2015. My booked family holiday was almost ruined when we got to this hotel. We were accompanied by the hotel assistant who was accommodating but obviously embarrased to show us where our room is. The elevator had a very moldy smell. I had to hold my breath until we reached the 4th flr. We entered room 409 which has a very small window for ventilation. The walls were inclining, I feel it will collapse anytime. All 3 double decks have no stairs & the bed posts were only held by thin wires. Old blankets were provided, 6 small bar soaps & a small thermos for hot water.
I always wondered why there is no cancellation policy for this particular booking when I paid it online on the last week of November. I now know the reason why. It is because when you decide not to stay once you see how dilapidated this hotel is, you need to find another hotel & shell out money again, worst, they get to keep your hard earned money.
It is highly recommended that the management either renovate the place or shut it down. I personally think that they survive operating mainly because they dupe tourists online and I was one of them. They should not be allowed to advertise anywhere. I wish I have taken pictures so nobody else will be interested to book their dream vacation in this hotel. It is a totally bogus deal!

Below 2 star. Cold in the rooms, very noisy outside, some dog is constantly barking. The staff was good enough tho... All the hotels were booked for Xmas, that' s why we had to stay here, otherwise it's definitely not the best place to stay!

It was a late decision for me to spend Christmas in Baguio City and thus when I searched for a hotel, I was left with only two choices: Skyrise Hotel and a transient house. I have already read the reviews for Skyrise and they were not nice, but since I was left with no other choice, I booked in Skyrise for two nights.

It turned out most of the reviews were right. The only things nice about the hotel were the price and its location which is near the Lourdes Grotto. But these also have disadvantages. Because the rate is really low, the hotel is not well maintained - the room and the comfort room look old and dirty, the cabinets smell musty, and wifi access is available only in the lobby. And since the hotel is near the Lourdes Grotto, traffic can be very heavy because of the hordes of people visiting the area.

The hotel is also quite far from the city proper. For those not familiar with the location, make sure you use Waze and Google maps so you won't get lost. Parking is available in front of the hotel and in the second floor of the building right across the hotel. A Chinese restaurant is located in the first floor which serves food until 10 pm.

Though the hotel is bad, the hotel staff were very good. The guard immediately assisted me when I parked and volunteered to carry my luggage. Check in was fast and the staff assisted me to my room. They need to make sure, though, that there is a staff available in the restaurant to receive orders. Called three times and there was no one receiving my calls so I had to make my order using the front desk line.

I personally wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you are in a really tight budget or you just need a place to stay in. If you want a truly relaxing vacation in the summer capital of the Philippines, staying here may ruin the experience.

I just arrived from Baguio City from our family 3 days & 2 nights vacation. Since, we are on a budget, we decided to book in Skyrise Hotel via agoda. Since we will travel with our car, our priority is a hotel with safe parking and Skyrise Hotel has parking on the 2nd floor. The good point on this hotel starts on the parking and ends on the parking lot.
We paid for almost 2.5K per night for 1 room with 3 double decks. We did not expect for a great accommodation but at least clean and decent room. Our room is located on the 4F, Room 419. It is on the center of the floor. The window faces the hallway, that's why is hot. No aircon (as expected) no electric fan. The smell is not nice. the atmosphere gives us eerie feelings. Like a room in horror movie. The CR, terrible. WC has no flush.
We decided to transfer to another building which is owned by them too. But the room looks more haunted and its located in basement 2. We decided to stay on Room 419 but ask for electric fan. They told us that we need to pay 100/night for the electric fan. What can we do? We just agreed to pay for this.
When we returned to room 419. We found out the electric outlets are not working. No power. They called the electrician to fix but after 2 hours of waiting still they cannot find the problem. As a matter of fact. They been fixing room 420 ahead of us but not yet done.
I went to the front desk to complain about this. I told them that they should have the fix the problem before we arrive. That's the SOP of the hotel. The manager came from by back. Shouting to her staff just to upgrade our room. She is not even apologetic to us. I told her that even Room 420 has problem too and they have children with them and I'm with my senior citizen parents. Again, on her arrogant voice, she told her staff to upgrade too the family in Room 420.
The staff from the other building, accompanied me to check the other rooms. The guy is accommodating and he keeps apologizing. Every room we open, there is a problem. I told him that a room with working electric outlet (we need to charge our CP and camera) and toilet in good condition is fine with us. We transferred to Room 403 and 408.
Good thing, on this room has hot water at all times because on Room 419 the hot water is only from 2-6am only.

The hotel is located near the Lourdes Grotto, our first room is on the lower ground (already forget which floor).. after a long travel we feel tired and slept, the hotel is not new, not very clean and it gives you an eerie feeling.. but I just ignored it since I am not alone in the room, thankfully we were transferred to room at the floor level near the reception area... the room is okay, bed sheets clean, bed okay, the room in the floor is okay compared to the first one but annoying smell stinks of cigar (but none of us is smoking). The other building is also owned by the hotel, it looks newer but abandoned, reminds me of some horror movies. The restaurant is very good, they could improve the hotel amenities and cleanliness.

the room was damp with traces of cigarette smoke. dust & dirt were everywhere as evidenced by the blackened tissues we used to wipe the old seats, tables and sink tiles. we were thinking of requesting for another room but most probably, we would encounter the same dilemma.

staff was cordial but was pushy enough to ask how many of us would be spending the night over for a room with twin beds that could accommodate 4 people as featured online. we were 4.

the bathroom was another story. if you're not particular on outdated leaking, moldy & noisy shower dials with unpredictable thermo control, and can withstand just an overnight stay, this hotel might just be alright for you.
