I think the main advantage of the hotel is that it's in Camp John Hay - for those who want to be in this area, it's one of the two hotels inside so it's pretty convenient. It's a short walk to Scout Hill and the activity area in John Hay. However, the lobby is a bit small and pretty cramped, the elevator is also a bit small, and the hallways are a bit dark since the windows are on either side of the long hallway. The room itself is ok, beds are on the big side and the toilet seat is heated, with good hot water flow in both the sink and the shower. we got a room with an aircon since you can't leave the balcony door open in the night (lots of insects) and the aircon stopped working in the early hours of the morning. They got a technician to come up but I figured out how to reset it myself since he couldn't do it. Breakfast was ok, but the buffet area was a bit cramped. We requested for a 30 minute extension and reception asked me why. I never got that reply before in all my years of staying in hotels :) It's fine, I just packed up faster. Staff were otherwise helpful.

The staff were all very friendly, with all smiles from the moment we arrived at the hotel; the valet staff were helpful, the check in process was smooth though there was a short queue. The room had 2 queen sized bed which made the stay relaxing although there was noise coming from the aircon, if we were not too tired perhaps we wont be able to sleep undisturbed. Our food from the in room dining service was excellent, extra water bottles requested from HKSP were delivered immediately. I am impressed with the "japanese" style toilet bowl as it is appropriate for Baguio weather :-)

Looking forward to coming back again

I had a hard time booking a room at this hotel. Understandable because its peak season. But the reservation staff could have made it easier by good customer rapport (almost took a century to hear their response).
Cons:
The parking area is cut off from the hotel building. You have to cross the street to get there. While lighted, it is not paved.
Some furnitures and fixtures in our room (Rm 508 at top floor) are broken (cabinet handle detached, room safe not working). Takes a while to heat the water. The ceiling fans seem to have a mind of their own. Room is fotted with A/C but it seems it is just decorative (!). Room was also a bit under-lighted. Noice from staff chatting below can be a bother. If horses neighing disturbs you, better be prepared (there's a horseback riding site nearby). You can forget about watching the TV as cable channels have bad reception. Le Monet has an indoor heated pool but was closed during our stay.

Pros:
The junior suite room my family used was decent. Nice balcony with sweeping view of pine forest and mountain. Plenty of sockets to plug your devices. Small but nice toilet with bath tub, a smart toilet seat, and a small TV. It has a coffee and tea corner and small ref (to store your beer and pizzas purchased outside 😄). Staff service (room service, bellman, waiters are fast and friendly). As the name suggests, the hotel is inspired by the French artist Claude Monet. The lobby is quite nice , highlighted by a magnificent chandelier and colourful paintings (you can spot two or three national artists hanging on the walls; an imitation of Monet's waterlily series takes a prominent spot). Signs urging guests to follow health protocols posted in strategic areas. Breakfast food is standard but complete course. Dining is fantastic if you choose the right spot (I suggest you book a spot at the back which gives you a nice view of the Monet-inspired garden). Staff (esp room service and bellmen) are attentove, proactive and courteous. Hotel hosts a few restos beside its building and is walking distance to TechnoHub where restaurants and shops are located.
Overall, our stay at Le Monet was an enjoyable experience. But things could be improved by addressing issues just mentioned.

Great stay during a storm.

Stayed here at a time when i needed to work and there was a storm.

The staff made sure that everything needed was covered. As i was in for business, they provided back up lamps, back up wifi and staff was on call. They called to make sure it is a good time to turn back to normal electricity source and kept the generator on if electricity was still fluctuating.

Food was delectable!

The room was cozy and came with a verandah - tip: take the room facing the forest garden - it offers a great view and a restful area, great surroundings for a different wfh (work from hotel) experience

Work tables inside the room are limuted but with ample space.
The best part was that service was exemplary - staff were consistently warm, caring and going the extra mile with a smile :)

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights last December 2021.

1. Location is good. Very accessible and walking distance to other hotels and shops within Camp John Hay.
2. They have enough parking slot across the hotel premises.
3. Room was clean.
4. Toilet and shower is complete with hot shower. Toilet seat has warmer. Comment only is that the bidet pressure is too strong.
5. We tried the strawberry champorado. Very good and reasonably priced.
6. Their bakeshop is also good.
7. The rates during our stay was just a bit pricey and it didn't have free breakfast buffer. We booked it via Agoda. Make sure to double check the rates and inclusions first before booking.
8. Camp John Hay has its own triage. It is located within the convention center area. Make sure to pass by there and get clearance first before going to the hotel. It is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel in case you missed it.
9. The veranda in the room is a nice spot to hang out.
10. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We borrowed their wine glass and used it in the room. There's also a wine shop beside the hotel so it is very convenient.
11. Restaurant is within the main entrance/lobby area. A bit cramped. They only have one elevator going up. The service elevator can be used to go down. This is for health and safety guidelines which is okay.
11. Overall, our stay in Le Monet was nice. I guess due to the Christmas season that's why our room rate was about Php 8,000 per night, without breakfast. It seems the price and facility was not really value for money.

BREATH BAGUIO, I always hear this from DOT’s Promotional Campaigns and that made me decide to travel to Baguio City so I can experience it too, so I chose this quaint hotel inside Camp John Hay called Le Monet.

My friends and I went to Baguio last October 28 and we decided to stay at Le Monet Hotel since it’s the closest Hotel at the entrance of Camp John Hay where different restaurants were located. We were not disappointed with our choice of accommodation, first of all the location of the hotel was so serene, the foods were great, especially their famous ube champorado, very professional staff and we especially enjoyed their Saturday open mic where we were able to jam with the other guests. The icing on the cake for me was that the hotel has their own bakery, I’ve always been a pastry person and I love their freshly baked products. The macaroons were one of my favorites.

The only downside for me was the traffic in the city, good thing this hotel has enough parking space to accommodate cars so we decided to leave our car behind and enjoy our walk around the area. We highly recommend this hotel and we will surely come back and try their other offerings too.

BTW, they have a small temperature-controlled pool but didn’t have the chance to try it. Maybe on our next visit.

Le Monet has a great location inside Camp John Hay in Baguio. Restaurants, convenience stores, shops, and even horseback riding are just steps away.

They serve a good breakfast buffet with enough variety over the three nights we stayed.

Their front desk and restaurant staff are all very efficient and professional. Requests for services/additional items needed in our room were handled in a prompt manner.

My issue with the hotel is the hotel itself. The pool was filthy. We asked when it was cleaned, and the staff member at the pool actually said he didn't know.

Our room was comfortable enough with a functional refrigerator and basic toiletries, but wasn't well-maintained. Despite supposedly having an in-room safe, none was available. When we inquired, they just said it was pulled out.

While the weather was fortunately pleasant enough that air conditioning was not needed, the air cooler provided in the room is really noisy. But if you turn it off, the noise from the streets is what will bother you instead.

The balcony was filthy, as were the provided metal chairs in it (see picture).

It's reasonably priced for its location, but in major need of a renovation.

This is the 4th time I've stayed at Le Monet. Check in was swift although we only got one of two rooms at first. The other room wasn't ready for quite a while after we checked in.

I was shocked to find out that our rooms didn't have air conditioning since it wasn't indicated on their hotel search engine information page nor on the booking confirmation. Good thing Baguio is a cool city. We didn't have any problems with our first room aside from the lack of air conditioning. Can't say the same for our second room, Room 308, where our daughters stayed. Our daughters complained of the room temperature and had a hard time sleeping because of it. The screen sliding door always came off. The TV in the sleeping area didn't work, which was replaced when we reported it, but not till after waiting for a long time. We found out the staff that we reported it to went off duty already and did not endorse the matter to the next duty staff, hence the long wait.

It used to have great breakfast buffet but I find it lacking now. The upside to our stay was that the property is in CJH which is a huge relief since the city proper had horrible traffic all throughout our 3 day stay. The hotel staff, especially those at check in and at dining and spa, were really attentive and nice.

Baguio City and Le Monet Hotel will always be the best choice.
I have visited this hotel’s restaurant several times but never had a chance to book a room due to its always fully booked status on holiday and long weekends. I got lucky to finally book a room for 2 nights and 3 days. Thank you Le Monet for letting me experience what true hospitality and genuine relaxation truly is. Your brewed coffee and freshly baked breads really made my mornings bright. Pwede ko ba iuwi yung pastry chef nyo? I never had this sound and relaxing sleep with other hotels, your pillows are heaven (may I know your supplier?). I even asked if I could buy but the Front Desk said “Sir, not for sale po para po may reason po kayo to stay with us again”…bright lady. She’s right, I definitely will be back with my family next year coz they are already fully booked (all weekends of December).
Try their Strawberry champorado, macaroons and the raisin bread are must-try too.
See you next year Le Monet!
Pool: Did not experience it because we went around the city.

Still staying at the hotel. Day one of the checkin the room key does not work after been twice down to the reception area lock not been fixed. Reception staff does not care even acknowledging the issue.

Day 2 issue same issue not fixed over all the room and bathroom was so dirty with mould. See photos

We have stayed many hotels in camp John bay and this is by far the worse one.

Room moved was done by the team but look almost 3 PM to get the room sorted …. Bad service and after requesting multiple times to talk to the manger no response..

The team leader at the desk did her best but bad management who could have come out and acknowledge the issue.

For the extra guest, we paid P1,300.00. The bedroom actually accommodates 4 people with 2 queen size beds. The extra guest also gets to have the daily breakfast. And breakfast is a huge buffet with varying dishes daily.
