Bedroom was clean and we had a good view from the balcony. Breakfast needs improvement. Mediocre taste and service-wise. Understandably, we stayed during a busy long weekend but it should have been anticipated given the number of people checked in. We were at the cafe by 7:45am and there was barely any food left. We had to wait a long time for them to refill all the empty chafers. Location is pretty good. It’s about a 10 minute downhill walk to Burnham Park.

They don’t explain that they have standard rooms without AC, so when my family arrived with the three rooms, which another family member reserved for us, unbeknownst to them we had to pay an extra 1200 pesos to upgrade to premium rooms. I hate surprise gimmicky things already, which gave a bad omen like feel to the stay. The first thing my brother in law tells me after it takes an hour to check in, while I dealt with my fussy 10 month old, is that it would cost 500 pesos if we lose the room key. That is a long and slow check in process. Let’s see, the patios have no furniture to sit on so there is no lounging in them. The internet is capped at 2 devices per room, and there is no switching of devices during the stay. So after my wife and I logged on with our cell phones, I couldn’t switch out a device to my daughters iPad. The TV only had Netflix and no cable channels. The showers leaked into the toilet area which seemed part of the design because there was a drain under the sink. The bathroom sink was clogged, filled fast, and drained slow. When we asked for an extra towel and pillow evening for my baby, it took over 45 minutes for them to come, so we just shared towels. I went down to reception to ask in the middle of my wife and baby showering and it didn’t seem like a friendly encounter. The worst part was that later on in the evening after just returning from SM mall, our van driver urinated on the far side where he parked in the parking lot. And the security guard ran over and told him we was going to be fined 2000 pesos. Later on with attitude the same receptionist told my brother with attitude we would need to pay 5000 pesos. The following morning during checkout they withheld a cash deposit of 3000 pesos for one of the rooms. When we wanted to talk to a manager at 9am they said one would come at 10am or noon, so we went out and around and then returned at 1pm. They refused to let us speak to a manager. We weren’t against paying a fine but the equivalent of $60 US dollars was excessive, and another receptionist told us they talked to someone, never explained who, and they still told us no we owe 3000 pesos. After a long debate with multiple employees they finally returned the security deposit. Their contract mentions reckless act, mind you but it was raining on and off our entire time, there were no signs, warnings or explanations for what our driver should do. Again it was outside and we parked at the far wall opposite of the entrance. The following day they also accused our driver of being drunk despite us being with him for over a week and us using him many times in the past, and us just returning from a full day of excursions and having him east dinner with us. The inconsistent charge they told us was abhorrent and the fact that it was so excessive made the whole ordeal of arguing for 15 minutes with no one ever identifying as management was abhorrent. They had to have a person teaching Hotel hospitality etiquette, who didn’t work for the hotel, tell them to apologize and just fully refund us for causing us to get so upset over our simple request to not over charge us the penalty amount of their infraction. Despite being a popular hotel to locals, I strongly recommend looking for another hotel until management gets their act together.

The bedroom was good. Staff were good. Unfortunately, breakfast was poor. They need to teach the egg cook how to cook eggs. Need larger cups as the ones provided for tea and coffee are far too small. At dinner, asked for spaghetti and got linguine. But…..I repeat……staff were good.

It was our first time again to visit Baguio City after pandemic and the Orchard Hotel never failed to give us good service and relaxing comfort during our stay. Cleanliness is still the priority and you will feel the coziness of the room which will welcome you after the whole day of city tour.

The baked parts. - Rooms are cleaned and airy and big. - Views are great, both from my room And the breakfast area on the 6th floor - Staff galore as this place is a training hotel as well for OJT THE HALF BAKES PART - Corridors are half covered with mattresses…. Oh yes, PLURAL FORM. On my floor alone are at least 12 mattresses I counted. SO UNPLEASANT TO SEE. I’ve never seen this before in my life. And I spend 80 days a year in a hotel room all over the world. - No black COFFEE in the room. Only PREMIXED with sugar and creamer. I drink my coffee BLACK. I asked to be provided a black stick coffee that costs 6 pesos but the answer is NO, we don’t have that. - Buffet breakfast 80% GONE at 8.45 am when the breakfast time is up to 10am. SO ANNOYING. I hear everyone complaining.

Very satisfactory stay. Positives: Good accommodations. Premiere room was clean, spacious, good sheets, minibar, room safe, balcony. Bathroom amenities very good- new and functioning well. Strong shower hot and cold. No problems with drainage. Needs Improvement: INTERNET was spotty. Breakfast was below average. Towels ordinary - so bring your own. Rooms are not soundproof so we could hear furniture moving on the last night

Very good service. They replenish the room items regularly and the room is clean. We got the premiere room and it's highly recommended since it gets a balcony view and the city at night is wonderful to see. The room is spacious. Enough tables for us three to eat in case we need to eat in the room. Service is superb and I commend the staff at the Breakfast Buffet - they are regularly going around to ensure needs per table are addressed. Good location too - easy to go around tha main attractions and buildings but in an area that's quite peaceful too

When we say Hotel… what should we expect as a paying guest who gives income to the business? Greeting & Welcoming the guest with a SMILE is the number 1 rule or maybe the standard has changed? What do you guys think? Do not expect to check in early even you give them heads up even a day before the arrival. Nothings gonna happen. You will still need to wait to check in on the said time. We reached the place early in the morning. We had breakfast out side first and did some shopping. We went to the hotel around 12 or 1ish but the time we checked in is at 2pm. Their time of check-in is really 3pm. I totally understand that, but when a guest calls and requests for early check in please give a proper information that the occupancy of the hotel is full or maybe inform them right away check in time is only at 3pm and they cannot accommodate anyone earlier than that. When the room is ready, I don’t think it was sanitized and cleaned. We are a bit particular when it comes to the said Matter as we’ve been informed by the front desk that the room has been “Cleaned & Sanitized”. We totally understand that and we waited. Please see the attach photo and you be the judge. Once you enter the room, it doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned and sanitized. The glass doors were not wiped properly. Kudos to JENNY from Front Office. I gave her a call before we arrived i have requested for something special to arrange for the room as advance birthday showcase for my sister. It was a great experience that she arrange the towel art, card greetings and a sweets dessert on plate with Happy Birthday and thanks to team who have arrange that greatly appreciated. Wifi is terrible. I called the front desk to check the wifi and tv and they sent the tech man (I didn’t get his name but thanks to him for the help) He came to check the wifi and I asked why is the streaming on the smart tv very slow? Told him that they need to improve their internet connection, you got smart tv but it’s of no use at all, it’s better to set up a normal tv. As a traveller, it does not mean we are out all the time in the hotel normally WIFI is very important in different kinds of used communication, business and etc… On our second day of breakfast, we came down a bit late and the food is not replenished. Even it they are using a walkie talkie it’s not useful at all. There is no sense of urgency. I am very disappointed at the staff named CJ who is working at the egg station. I queued properly and asked nicely for an omelette and I waited patiently. CJ informed me that I’m on 4th in the queue. Though I noticed that he just keep cooking omelette and gave it to the another guest whose not in queue. He explained that the guest is senior citizen. I totally get that senior citizens will receive a priority service but he needs to do his job quicker and fast. He need to know that if there is a long queue, then he must work double time. I then asked his name, but he answered “why should i get his?” I found it rude and the audacity to answer me back. The way and the tone that he answered back “B a k i t???” I don’t know if i am in Hotel or gangster place. Operations got no one is in charge or Manager. If the hotel is full house expect a late crowd for breakfast and stand by food so that the guest wont be waiting so long. Does not mean a free breakfast will delay the replenish of food cos we still we paid the said free breakfast its included on the paid accommodation. We also asked for make up our room but seems like it’s properly cleaned. When we came back to our room, the bedsheets were only folded nicely but the sheets were not changed at all. If you don’t use an ultraviolet light you’ll be fooled that is been clean and sanitized. Fresh towels been provided and that’s great and extra tissue were given. Thanks a lot! How do we even commend your staff or your team if no one uses a “NAME TAG”? No one from your front desk, housekeeping, food & bev team wears it. Staff here just do their job and get their salary, that’s it. All I can say about this hotel is that the ambiance is designed nicely and it’s Instagrammable. Experience, disappointed. Again I would like to commend the Front Desk Team named: JENNY, NICOLE, ASH, EDLYN. Thanks for the assistance and answering all my query. Upon check out I asked for the direct email of a General Manager and I was informed that there is no direct general manager and was only advised to email what the front desk provided. Calling the attention of the General Manager of The Orchard Hotel Baguio, pls read the complaints and feedbacks of your guests for improvement and if you still want to be the choice of hotel in Baguio of future travelers.

nothing extraordinary in this pricey hotel. room was quite cramped and toilet amenities are limited. cable TV is quite intricate to operate and the internet connection is fluctuating. my fone date is more reliable. crisp linens and towels are its strong points. breakfast was a bummer. they should have anticipated the volume of their guests during the weekend so that food would not become scarce for latecomers. come on, 9 am is still considered early for breakfast especially on a lazy sunday. good thing meals were served on the 6th floor that opens to a mountain view of the city. will come back if there are no other reasonably priced hotel.

My review is based on 5 days/ 4 nights stay here. PROS: ✅ Cozy ambiance and spacious room ✅ Toiletries including slippers are available ✅ Daily supply of complimentary water, coffee and tea ✅ Reasonably priced hotel rate ✅ Accessible - walking distance to Burnham Park. Easy to get a cab. ✅ Luggage - they allowed to store our luggage upon check out since we had to wait for our travel time CONS: ⭕ Check in process takes time but reasonable due to number of guests and only one person is in front office ⭕ Breakfast - set breakfast during weekdays and buffet during weekends; That Little Cafe has good vibes yet nothing special on the food they serve. Missed those times when breakfast are being served in King Chef 😊 Hope they'll have an option to have breakfast there again ⭕ The noise is annoying - either the guests next room or the staff radio in full volume. We can hear any noise from outside the room, hope the hotel can do something about this. ⭕ No taxi waiting area - it's quite inconvenient to wait for taxi during rainy days. Hope they'll have a covered waiting area.
