I booked this hotel for one night as it was very close to cruise port and just needed a night before joining cruise - I booked over one month prior and PAID IN ADVANCE - I received an email verifying payment and stating the room was ‘fully guaranteed’ - After traveling that day for over 12 hours, upon arrival we were told there was an electrical problem and they would relocate my husband and me to another hotel…. They just needed some time to locate the new accommodation…. Now….. If there was a known problem why would they not have already made arrangements??? The two females kept smirking and giving each other the side-eye so something just seemed ‘off’- I produced confirmation of payment and said I would let company I arranged reservations with know about the problem and they then quickly ‘found’ a room at the hotel where I booked…. The young man who brought up our luggage was accommodating as was wait staff at restaurant where food was good - bar staff seemed put out when we ordered ‘two Chardonnays’ and then said she couldn’t make a martini so we didn’t stick around - My husband was so uncomfortable he barricaded the door with suitcases and chair while we slept- We are in our sixties and have traveled quite a bit but I must say this rates as one of our most unpleasant stays - …

Hotel's Favorite
We didn't have much expectation for this hotel (negative or positive). But were very surprised by everything about it. The room was very comfortable and spacious (with a view of the harbour), the bed was great as was the bedding. Very clean, safe, and excellent service. Breakfast was good too! Pool deck and pool were a super bonus and very pleasant to use!! I think if you're not sure if you should visit Colon you should visit if you stay here.

Colon (Panama's second biggest city) doesn't have a great reputation. Our driver cautioned us to stay on the hotel property and the adjoining mall, as the city as a whole is not particularly safe. So, that's what we did. Our room was dated, the air conditioning was not very effective and the ceiling sprung a leak as we were getting ready to leave, but we felt reasonably safe. We enjoyed lounging by the pool, and the included buffet breakfast was decent. The adjoining mall doesn't have much to offer, although the Super 99 grocery store was fun to explore.

This hotel is definitively a must do for those who are cruising. As the town area of Colon is deemed a bit dangerous for tourists by pretty much everyone who lives in Panama. The room are pretty decent with very comfy beds and very good pillows. We were upgraded to a suite as the rooms we requested were not available and was happy to enjoy a double bathroom, single room with TV room suite. They also gave us a rollover bed to accommodate the 3 of us (all adults). The room had a very good view of the terminal where we could see the cruise ships being docked. The hotel also features a restaurant/buffet as well as free shuttle to the cruise terminals. The hotel also has a convenient backdoor that requires hotel room keys to open to get to the small mall behind it. Which leads to a supermarket, a few stores and 3 restaurants, including a subway. Note that UBER HAS NO SERVICE IN COLON. So plan accordingly and use recommended taxis! …

Friendly clean casino. But Panama taxes your money. Bought in for $200. Cashed out $250. Went to cash out and they deducted $13.75 off and gave me $236.25 Stayed in the hotel 2 nights but will not play in the casino again. Taxing my money is not good. Tax my winnings is ok but taxing my already taxed money that I put at risk gambling is not what I will do again.

Good location next to the Free Zone and Cruise port. A few good local crafts stores. Restaurant serves a decent buffet style breakfast. I recommend. Staff is friendly. Not anything special going on for entertainment, if you are not into gambling. Since there are two casinos on the premises.

Clean rooms and comfy bed. Drinks at bar with musid and llvely atmosphere. Definitely recommend for short stay if you're a frequent travelers to Panama. There is a casino that we did not have time to check out. Not much to do around the area. We mainly were there to visit family.

What an AMAZING Hotel! Yes, Colon is a wee bit rough..,, but come on it’s a global hub for products flowing east or west thru the Canal. The Radisson should be your choice in Colón, Particularly if you are joining a cruise as we are. From the bellmen to the registration, all is GREAT. Christian particularly at registration is very accommodating. Yes it helps I speak Spanish, but the folks before us did not and he welcomed them with ease. We talked to some fellow cruisers on the plane coming down and they shied away from staying in Colón because of posts and remained in Panama City until night before the cruise. BAD DECISION!!! The Radisson could not be more wonderful and a mini mall is just out the back lobby door. A Super X store that rivals any Walmart is there for all those incidentals that you forgot. Restaurant is available as are bar and Casino inside Radisson.…
