Charming location which is located very close to the Souq! The staff is friendly and the Hotel has a spot on the rooftop which is perfect to relax. However, the receptionist was not very welcoming and the restaurant should serve basic drinks at night (the had 7up only but no coke, water, etc.). Overall we enjoyed being at the Hotel.
We were supposed to stay two nights but the experience was so bad we staid only one. The staff is the only not welcoming staff of the whole country... Not helpful not friendly ect ect The room was really basic confort, and very noisy. We couldn’t sleep... The breakfast is very bad but the diner was quite good. Hopefully the location is great
We staid here for one night in March 2022. First, we were given an inside room without any window which we didn’t like as we prefer to have daylight in our room. However, upon request the hotel gave a room with windows but the (private) bathroom was across the courtyard. The room was very traditional and we loved it. The hotel has a nice little pool which is great to relax after your sightseeing tour. There is a so-called sitting room in the hotel and on the rooftop where you can meet other guests, drink tea and eat some dates. Breakfast is served in the hotel’s open-air rooftop restaurant with a nice view on the surrounding buildings. We thought that the traditional Oman-style breakfast was exceptionally good!
Absolutely charming typical hotel. The staff is very welcoming, the rooms are fancy and charming, the food provided is very good, the rooms are very clean, the hotel is very well situated. I strongly recommend this hotel.
We seen 2 nights in this quaint Boutique Hotel in the heart of old Nizwa. Rooms were clean, authentic and rustic. We had 2 rooms 1 x double and 1 x king suite, both were very clean, ensuite and had quirky interiors. Some may find the sprung mattress on the floor a challenge, but just makes the whole experience more authentic. A simple but ample buffet Breakfast was served on the roof terrace overlooking Nizwa Fort and Mosque. We also had the optional dinner on both nights, again this was buffet style and featured various grilled meats, a curry, rice and breads. would recommend a 1 or 2 night stay to experience Omani hospitality and visit Nizwa Fort and Souq.
