Living on the beach in Florida, we were not expecting the spectacular trip that we encountered. We now know why there are so many repeat guests and we will be back to visit!!! From the greeting on the seaplane pontoon to our farewell wave, the trip was unbelievable! The staff was attentive, helpful and always ebullient. The manta rays at night under the bridge, the sharks and turtle on the house reef and the multitude of species of fish was mesmerizing. The islands were clean and workers were always raking the sand and you never saw any garbage lying around. A truly barefoot resort. We especially would like to acknowledge the excellent care shown by some of the workers: Linda - our contact liason- always on top of any question we posed Mohammed - our bungalow attendent- meticulous cleaner and so creative with evening surprises with towels! Vukasin- "the liquid chef"- will always entertain you at the Hilton member Happy Hour and makes the best cocktails! Dwayne - the Director of Culinary - best food we have enjoyed on recent trips! Became friends and he even met us to say farewell on pontoon - impressive attention from a director who is extremely busy The Vilu Crew- Meji ( also took great care of us at UFAA), Shark(helped husband pick phenemonal live lobster for dinner), and Xalley - all knew our preferences after the first day- great service The whale shark excursion team- KUDOS! The captain spotted the shark and we were the first in the water to see the animal. The team were great in herding us, explaining about the shark and keeping us safe with the stampede of other boats. Beautiful paradise in the Maldives. Rooms are excellent, staff always there to make you feel welcome. World class water to play in. Just don't purchase the Hilton Maldivian Experience with points. We used all of our 100,000 points to purchase a dinner and a lunch during our stay and when we got there more than half of the things on the menu had surcharges so we were charged a lot of money for our free meals! This part was very disappointing as we would have never used our points if they mentioned this in the offer.

Everything was considered for us. As soon as we stepped off the seaplane we were greeted and our cases were looked after right until we got into the room. An early check in and perfect villa were provided and our host looked after us throughout. Every member of staff was a delight and so friendly, always stopping to say hello/good afternoon and it felt genuine. Our breakfasts were amazing and the staff at Vilu were so welcoming and chatty. The staff are such a highlight of the resort, which itself is beautifully maintained, and nothing was too much for the team. We felt thoroughly looked after. Despite being an incredibly expensive trip, it was well worth it, you can't really expect to save money on a bucket-list experience like this!

We spent our honeymoon here 10 years ago. Then I wrote: „To me this is one of the Top-5 beach hotels in the world.“ And this has not changed! We even met a few people from the staff who recognized us 10 years later! Food is still absolutely fantastic! 2 new restaurants were added since then. Only downside: besides the Rangali bar there is no main restaurant anymore that is open every day, so you have to make reservations or at least decide where to go several days in advance. A little confusing. But when you found a place, be sure you will get fantastic food. Rooms and the whole islands are in perfect shape, clean and well maintained. Even the house-Mantas are still there, appear every single evening around 9 p.m. under the bridge. If you like to drink a glas of wine or two I strongly recommend to choose the extra-beverage package. Otherwise alcoholic drinks are VERY expensive. As in all of the maledives the riffs are pale - corall-bleach. At some points you can see them regenerate slowly, but compared to 10 years ago very sad. Such a great experience! Words can't begin to express how lovely the resort is and all the sealife around. The staff are ever so friendly too. Our island host Fasy was quick to answer any questions we had and gave us a warm welcome despite it storming on our arrival. You do pay a premium for the stay, food and excursions but the staff and clean and beautiful facilities ensure it's worth it. The food tasted good in all the restaurants (unfortunately except for Ithaa but that may be because it's just not to my taste). The excursions were super fun and the staff that run them at the Dive center try to ensure each individual has a great time. They even helped me swim faster to catch up to the whale sharks haha. We did the Whale Shark Talk and Tour, Sunset Fishing, and lunch at Ithaa and each one was worth trying at least once. Another standout moment was when a staff member noticed me sweating and struggling with the heat on one of our restaurant meals and they immediately brought me a cold towel to help me cool down. This is on the bucket list for the longest time. I love the people and food there. Yes I know they are expensive but what do you expect when you are in island. I spent around 4k in food and transfer. Diamond member get free breakfast for 2 so I just worry about lunch or dinner. They have an lounge that you can access as a diamond between 4- 6pm. What I like about it is that they assigned you your own butler. I call him and he respond right away. A must try is the underwater restaurant. It is your turn to be in the fish bowl.

This was our fourth visit to The Conrad Maldives and I have to say it was very disappointing this time. The villa wasn’t clean, there were crisps on the floor under the couch, finger smears on the glass and the rub was covered in crumbs too. I was very disappointed with the staff in Rangali bar, it was more of a boys club with just an edge of misogyny, which I didn’t really expect and hadn’t experienced here before. That said, older members of staff such as Shark, are an absolute delight and a credit to the resort. Once again, there were no menu changes and the food has been the same since our first visit. It’s still a beautiful place but the service was just not good enough this time and it just seems like they have become complacent.
