I have stayed in this hotel for almost 20 times, a couple of day each times. This latest stay, I have some issues.

First, I left the room at 10.30am to work, press the "Make Up Room" button and when I came back at 7.30pm, the room is still not made up and the rubbish is not cleared. Went to front desk to feedback but saw lots of people waiting to check-in. So, I just let it go.

Secondly, they place racks of mineral water on the corridor (see picture). It was there for the whole 3D2N I was there.

This is NOT a 1 or 2 star hotel. At the rate you're paying, you don't expect to see these type of services.

I love this hotel due to its location and very quiet surrounding but they need to buckle up or I will just walk away to another hotel.

Spent one transit night in, before embarking on our next journey and the hotel provided us with basic needs: safe ample of clean space, good sheets, hot water, parking. Alas we experienced a few culture shock. The hotel is old but of well established building, basic maintenance and hospitality services can be improved. Truly appreciates Muhammad Aidil from the kitchen crew to provide us with in room silverware teaspoon (less plastic waste) so we can make our own brought coffee in the break of morning. Thank you.

Had a stay here on a weekday for my wifes birthday booking through agoda, check in was at 3pm, however when i arrived at 2:55, the lady told me specifically that as i had booked through agoda, a third party website, the room was not ready yet, and will only be ready at 4+, or when they have cleaned the room, reception would give me a call. I am tired as i had worked through the night in a gov hospital, just wanting to get some rest and spend some time with my wife for her birthday. We sat at their restaurant and had tea time there until 4:30 all while waiting for their call and watch guest after guest that came after me check in without a hiccup. I approached reception and was finally given the key at 4:30pm and was told that i would be compensated with a later checkout at 2pm the next day. Upon entering the room, was given a deluxe room without a bathtub, however what is shown on agoda is that their deluxe room comes with a bathtub. Upon clarification with dorsett, the deluxe room with bathtub is subject to availability. Agoda should be held accountable for giving false information. On the day of checkout at 11:47, housekeeping came knocking at the door asking why he have not checked out yet. Then at 12:20 we received a call from reception asking why we have not left yet eventhough reception had told us we had late checkout. After the call, we promptly checked out at 12:30pm as we were clearly not welcomed at dorsett any longer. So thank you dorsett for the warm hospitality and agoda for the misleading information on behalf of dorsett.

If you have the pleasure of staying here, i hope the receptionist at that time would have the courtesy of passing over the ‘minor’ detail of guest having a late checkout so the guest would not be disturbed and harassed.
I would also suggest to kindly book through dorsetts website as booking through third party sites makes u second class in their eyes and are subject to the above treatment.

1. Most of the staff are not friendly nor helpful! With no smile on their face, and won't utter more words than just yes or no. Not even bother to look up at the guests!
2. NO shuttle service although website stated otherwise!
Booked this hotel as the website stated shuttle bus service was provided to nearby malls as we do not have our own transportation there, and not familiar with the place. However, when asked for shuttle bus service, the staff at reception (a man with a face like I owed him billions dollar) just said "Don't have". When I continue to ask that the website stated differently, he just said "no more, you call grab la!" Ok, fine. So I was with my mum and 2 young kids, started calling grab/taxi but for more than 40mins, no taxi/grab is willing to pick up from this location! Luckily the staff (the only friendly staff during my stay) saw us wandering helplessly at the lobby area, offered to help us book a grab after knowing our situation. We finally manage to get a cab about 1 hour later (the ride to the location was only 10 or 15 mins).
3. The pool, a very small one, with no shade, is at a weird location, whereby guests have to walk pass the check in lobby, lounge and restaurants, and even go down a level to reach. There was no lifeguard, and actually nobody (not even 1 guest) around when we check out the pool too.
4. The room was supposed to be 26hours stay with early check in option (need to flll in a form at least 3 days prior to arrival), I followed the instructions and request at least 10 days before, and supposed to get a reply in 3 days time, but there was no reply at all, and I have to make a call to check. Even so, they cannot answer whether I can get to check in earlier.
5. We found out that the parking is limited, at outdoor location (with no shelter to the hotel), and is to pay per entry from other guest too!
Conclusion: a big NO to this hotel!

We were on a business visit and staying there on the 10th of October 2023, our rooms were 2 executive suites. The rooms we had, had a nice view as it faces to the lake and garden, it is very spacious, and it's even still comfortable if occupied by 4 persons, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with a spacious living room which is separated from the bedroom, the bathroom is big, it has a bathtub and a separate shower area, it has a spacious wardrobe with more space to keep our luggage, there is also a working area with the working desk provided, convenient for working as it's quite big and separate from the bedroom area. The amenities provided were great as if knowing well what's needed by a traveler. What made more special for us was the hotel staff who were very welcome and helpful and made us feel at home, and of course, the wonderful dinner that we had at The Emperor (their halal Chinese food restaurant), starting from the appetizer up to the dessert was great presented and very delicious. My tongue even got wet when writing this review.
We definitely will be back to stay there on our next visit. Thank you for your hospitality and great food.

Booked for hotel quarantine and currently still in property. I encourage people to look elsewhere for hotel quarantine packages. Despite courteous and professional service from fnb manager Azlan and duty manager Pandora, our experience here as been tainted by the following:
1. Check in
1.1 arrived via transport as part of package but had to wait in the vehicle with no instructions on how to check in. Driver dropped us in the basement and we were just told to wait by the lifts in a basement with our bags and had no clue what was going on. 15 mins later staff member appears via lifts to 'check us in'
1.2 staff member checking us in took photos of our passport with, most likely, their personal mobile device. Understand passports are required by hotel but a personal device should not be used to take or store this information.
2. Cleanliness
2.1 upon check in, we noticed most of common touch points i.e plugs and switches were covered in dust and dirt which we had to clean ourselves
2.2 scraps of food and rubbish still evident under bed, couches and tables. Given covid situation, we had to ask for a vacuum to clean this up ourselves on the first night. Hotel obliged but even vacuum was falling apart held together by duct tape
2.3 stains on bed sheets. No offer to replace
3. Condition of hotel room
3.1 evidence of mould heavy mould in bathrooms, on carpets and wallpaper
3.2 peeling wallpaper
3.3 informed hotel of matters above and was offered a different room but that room had a pungent cigarette smell hence declined and decided to put up with mould infested room instead (not sure which is worse when dealing with a history of asthma)
3.4 water is now dripping through window and ceiling. Informed reception but they mention that due to heavy rain, there is nothing they can do. Offered towels to wipe down area that is being soaked.
There are matters above that may require long term actions to rectify, but it does not justify making guests pay for such an experience.
Given the hotel advertises itself as a premium hotel package and we booked a deluxe room, this is a shock. No one should have to go through this experience.
Ms.Christina Toh if you are reading this I hope action will be taken to ensure these issues are rectified should the hotel intend to be viable as a business moving forward.

Worst hotel stay in Malaysia ever.
Although booked more than 2 weeks in advance and confirmed the weekend before, the booked king size bed room was not available. The hotel put me in another old fashioned room.
Coming very dirty directly out of a cement plant, I was suffering for a shower. Towels were, however, not available in the room. I called the reception twice for towels. They promised arranging immediately but nothing happened. After almost 2 hours of waiting, I went to the reception desk asking for towels and the manager in charge. Mr. Raj told me that a manager in charge is not available. He offered me taking the towels from the reception desk but I denied and asked him bringing them to my room. Finally after more than 2 hours, I got towels in the room. Together with the towels, I got a bath mat full of brownish stains.
In the bath room, I noticed that the shower head discharged water everywhere. Additionally it could not be fixed in a certain position. I also noticed electrical installation very dangerous in a bath room especially when staying with children. Additionally, the light of the cosmetic mirror did not work and the toilet lid was loose.
Another surprise was the washbasin. Water could not be drained out. It was standing in the sink during my whole stay. When leaving for dinner outside, I asked the reception maintaining the washbasin but nothing happened. It was not repaired and the water was standing in the sink until I left the next day. I was not in the mood, discussing this with the hotel again.
In between, I got a call from Mr. Sag. I reported the problems to him and told him that I am not ready paying the full price of the hotel room. He promised me, taking care about a discount but nothing happened.
When checking out, I asked the receptionist for the promised discount but I was told that it is not possible because the amount was already charged to me credit card. Unfortunately, I did not had the time for a longer discussion because I had to catch a flight.
The behaviour of the hotel including the management is not acceptable at all. I can only recommend everyone staying away from that hotel.

We have stayed many times in this hotel over the past 10 years. It is very convenient for visiting family on our annual trip from the UK.
We have always had good experiences. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They can't do enough for us. We particularly appreciate the service and care provided by Rizal, Sheik and Syamsul in management; and Victor, Maria and their colleagues at breakfast. The head chef is brilliant. Also our cleaner is exceptional.
We love the extensive club room facilities including Lounge, evening cocktails, daily free laundry, and complimentary drinks and snacks in the fridge. The prices for rooms are very reasonable.
There is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. We have witnessed two lovely events - the dragon dance, and the Christmas lights and carols ceremony. I'm sure there are many more events (including food events) throughout the year.
There is a lovely piano lounge with excellent live music a few days a week.
The Dorsett company is obviously trying hard to update the hotel. The decor is reasonable. There is a beautiful staircase leading up to the Mezzanine level. Our club room has great views of the city and a nearby lake. The bed is very comfortable.
The only real criticism (for us) is the poor tv reception and lack of channels to watch (including Al Jazeera).
We hope to return many times in the future.

Clean room and helpful staff. Requested wheelchair for my mother and they were helpful to provide. We asked for some bananas for my mother’s dietary needs and they sent to our room.

Murugan the hotel staff was attentive and very helpful with my mother’s mobility assistance.

That depends which airport you will be flying into.. if its the main KLIA, it will range between 30-60 minutes depending on the traffic..

when I spent nights at hotel, the hotel provides free shuttle bus to go there.

the rooms dint have balcony at all. I think is allowed to smoke near the swimming pool, but not too near.
