Stay here for leisure. A very nice hotel and a hidden gem. This hotel attached with City Mall shopping complex building. Around the hotel there is many eateries such as Paparich, Old Town, Korean Restaurant, Japanese Restaurant, KFC Outlet, Supermarket, Cinema and largest Bookstore etc. Very convenient. Nothing to complaint. Will recommend for those travellers who want a short hop. Breakfast are good too if you are not fussy. Simple but filling. Staffs are generally nice and friendly too. Muslim friendly washroom/bathroom too.

This hotel is minutes from the KK airport and conveniently located adjacent to a shopping mall with food courts. The staff were friendly and room was nice and clean. I travelled alone and felt very safe here as a first timer travelling solo in KK. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Check-in and check-out went well, quickly done, with helpful staff. The room itself seemed clean. When I had trouble with the CD player provided, maintenance came and exchanged it. No spoon for the tea cups provided. Overall, this place is ok to stay at. It's not the newest anymore. The location is ok, though certainly not downtown. The mall next door is ok, has a cinema and quite a few restaurants and cafes for eating starting in the late morning. Nothing for breakfast, though, unless you eat at the hotel, which I didn't. At the time of this writing, I can see some extremely negative reviews, and the overall rating of the hotel is 85/99 in KK. I haven't stayed at the 98 others, but I don't understand why this hotel should have such a low rating. My guess would be that it belongs somewhere in the middle - nothing super wonderful, but perfectly ok, and for the money and age a good deal. (PS Transportation is not an issue, plenty Grab available, which can be pre-ordered if necessary.)

Stayed in this hotel numerous times. The last being 4 weeks in this hotel for personal and educational purposes. They were partially renovating the rooms. .. a good sign! Superior rooms are adequate for a couple. Neat, tidy and basic. The nice: Safe and quiet surroundings Situated next to City Mall shopping centre.... Giant supermarket is situated inside City Mall shopping centre. Walk 100metres from Celyn Hotel and you are there. Opens at 1000am. Good selection of western and eastern cafes, you wont starve. Free car park infront of hotel if you have yr own car. Nice and friendly staff. The not so nice: Hotel in the 'suburbs'. Nothing much surrounding the area. Quality of housekeeping can be a hit and miss.Need reminding. They do not provide bath mat, annoying and dangerous when coming out of shower. Sometimes the in-room safe and the bar fridge do not work. Need persistent phonecall to the maintenance team. Stay if all you want is a safe, basic, neat and tidy place to sleep and park your rental car after being out all day.

The location is isolated . But its fine for me.. the decoration bit dull and rusted. The staying went terrible when my room had problem with aircond around midnight. Not convenient to me and my wife. The cannot resolve it and they dont have any queen bed available. Luckily after i switch on n off over2 n over again, its work to normal. In the morning, we do have high hope for the breakfast. But we were serve a cat food i bet. It was terrible, beehoo and fried rice are really bad. Tastless. Serious if this the way you provide service to the customer, i wish your hotel to go hell. Thank you

When open the room door at third floor after get the room key, there have a bad strong smell, i rush out for discussion and thinking i still accept the smell. after i back to room, i lay on bed and preparing to sleep, after that i feel itchy and try to call receipt, but the phone is not working, and finally i went down to receipt counter. the reception guy is rude to ask why i so late to report the room problem. He has changed the room to me and told this is last room, if this room still got problem then have to wait tomorrow morning for room cleaning. he gave me the feeling like i giving him the problem???? I move to new room and straight away go lay on bed. Next day, when i turn on the water, the basin water leak, i went down to reception counter and report this issue, the SAME reception guy said "yesterday night you report the room got strong smell and the bed not clean make you itchy, NOW you report the basin water leaking", he sound like no good to me. at the end, i wont come this hotel again.

We had rooms booked and were assigned to rooms at third floor. They are refurbishing the rooms and the place is full of furnitures. Once we open the room, it is full of strange smell and the room is very old. 1 of the room doesn't even have towels in it, even if they brought over late that day, My colleague requested for a room change when he feels itchy sleeping on the bed, the response from the customer service is very rude by asking why we did not report earlier. The same response was given when the same guy reported water leak with his basin to the customer service. Sounds to us that we are at fault as we report the relevant only when we found it out. The WiFi signal is very weak in each of our rooms. It is overall a very bad experience and will never come back to this hotel chain anymore.

The location of the hotel is convenient to get to most places and being next to a mall, you can nip in to Watsons/Guardian or even Giant for anything you may need! It is not too far to get anywhere as well. However the rooms seem old and we were initially shown to a room that was under renovation : the room was unlocked, no carpet, no bed no furniture. After going downstairs, we were changed to another room which was not too bad. The rooms are decent in size and the bathrooms were kept really clean daily. My only complaint would be that the corridors smell really musty and it is not great! On the first day of our arrival we also saw rubbish bags left on the corridor - very unsightly! Breakfast was alright, on weekends you get a buffet and on weekdays you get it freshly made to order! Overall for what we paid, we thought it was decent but nothing to shout about.

Small hotel 3 kms (Jln.Lintas) away from KK city centre with a small mall, chicken rice shop, chinese restaurant, Starbucks, dental clinic etc conveniently located at your doorsteps....plus points. Unfortunately hotel needs urgent refurbishment as rooms have an old damp musty smell which gives an uncomfortable feeling. If refurbishment has been done, it is highly recommended.
