The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from Hakodate station. First view from outside was not impressive. We booked a Japanese style Western room. The room is 529 square feet, huge by Japanese or Western standards. Bedroom had 2 twins, and access to a...More
This hotel is a bit of the walk from the station, especially when dragging suitcases in the snow. The rooms are huge and there's a great bathroom with a washing machine. We really enjoyed the onsen (hot spring bath) on the first floor. There's a...More
Booked this place for one night stay on my train travel to Hokkaido. Liked Hakodate very much but not so much of this hotel. The room is designed and decorated rather weird to me, and the Onsen served with massage services inside the Onsen area,...More

You can easily get a taxi. Just ask the front desk to call if there are no taxis waiting in the front. It is walkable, but if you have a lot of luggage, or the weather is bad, taxi is the way to go. The room we had was the largest room I ever stayed in Japan. There was tub and shower, as well as a toilet in a separate room. We had a kitchen, dining room, balcony, tatami room, living room, bedroom. If you can upgrade, it is amazing. Not much to look at from outside, but the room was impressive.
