The Hotel Pacific was very disappointing. Though the coffee shop at street level looks inviting, the rooms are tiny and sparse. The room we had was too small for two people and we were not able to open our suitcases if we wanted to move...More
We loved this hotel. It was quirky, comfortable and clean. The coffee bar downstairs was relaxing and a lovely place to sit and unwind after a days exploring. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the station where you can get a loop bus...More

I took a cab to the hotel on arrival. It was less than 10 minutes to drive - no traffic. Affordable, with cabs queued right outside the train station. Gave the driver the address in Japanese and didn't have any problems. In hindsight I could have walked, and did walk back for my departure. However it was dark on arrival and it had been a long travel day - I didn't regret the cab. The walk back was about 20 mins and very easy, flat walk with 22" luggage.
