Detailed Reviews
I'll qualify what I am about to write by saying this review is of a spring time experience here, and I'm sure that in summer the experience would be totally different.
After booking this hotel I emailed regarding which room we would have as, from the pictures, we wanted to have one of the cabins next to the pool, I didn't get a reply but on arrival had been allocated one. The cabins are on either side of the pool and this time of year one side is in the sun all day and one side is in the shade all day. The cabins are just timber sided with a tile floor and yes we were on the shaded side! I should have realised that springtime is different than summer time. This meant that the cabins were always cool (great if it is summer) and waking in the morning and walking on a cold tile floor is not a fun experience, and neither is putting on cold clothing. Imagine if you can what it is like in a caravan first thing in a morning. The towels didn't dry so we started taking them with us to the sunny side of the pool and left them out to dry whilst we sunbathed.
Food was great, plenty of choice, staff very helpful, great location, if you wanted a sandy beach experience you had to walk about 1/2 mile to where the sand was as the winter storms take it off the beach at Leda Beach end (or so we were told).

Superb location right on beach. Lovely rooms but deffo need more shelves or storage and maybe a bin in the room as 1 in bathroom tiny. Nice decor and loved the wooden floor and panels. Nice comfy bed, lean sheets and towels, superb air con that was needed and free as was the fridge. Staff were lovely and helpful for my 76 year old mum who partially sighted, especially the night time reception guy (think he was called Halid) who carried our cases to and from room at 3am to wait for the pick up transfer which didn't turn up and he called us a taxi to get back to antalya airport. We had a side sea view room which was great and lots of greenery and plants and trees in the walk to breakfast. On keeping with the ancient city roman ruin neighbours the setting was beautiful. Only drawback was all the steps that no suitable for mum as bit uneven/crazy paving. Breakfast was basic and we paid for a fresh squeezed orange juice every morning that was lovely. We ate in the beach restaurant most nights and Nice food lovely presented. Having the Wee supermarket in between restaurant and rooms very convenient for buying water and snacks.

cold rooms extra £45 for aircon to warm up which was too bright to sleep . At night very noisy : barking dog chickens, sleeping was awful beds uncomfy, no duvet for winter just got extra blankets, feels like camping. Room was cleaned daily. Food was basic no fruits for breakfast , juice for extra money, restaurant cold, often smoky from heating log burner. Location great in ruins of old town

Me and my wife stayed at the Leda beach for 2 weeks from the 19th June 2019 until 3rd July 2019.
We stayed in a standard room and this had everything that we required, fridge, tv and the rooms were cleaned regularly, also towels were changed more or less when we wanted.
I’ll get some of the negative stuff out of the way first, the air conditioning was not included in the price and would have cost us an extra 80 euros for our stay, although I was told that if you take one of the bungalows that a/c is included, obviously they are a good bit more expensive than the standard or economy rooms.
That out of the way I really can’t think of too many more negatives for the price we paid. There are much cheaper places in Side but none so near the Old town and with the amenities that Leda Beach offer.
You are literally right next door to the old town, one side of the complex goes through a shop and beach bar/restaurant and leads to its own private beach, where all sunbeds are free for hotel residents, this is where we spent most of our days.
The shop is great for water, soft drinks, and some daily shopping needs and is reasonably priced, so very handy.
There is also a lovely pool area on the other side of the complex.
The other side of the hotel is the restaurant where you eat if half board as we were, as well as serving the public and residents with a full menu.
The food for half board was excellent, I have been to many that were ok or adequate, but Leda beach buffet in my opinion was superb. The hotel restaurant also overlooks the ruins and really is a beautiful location for an evening meal or to sit and eat your breakfast.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and I really cant complain about this little gem of a place at all, in fact it was so good that we’ve booked to go back again this year, and this is the first time I have ever booked the same hotel twice anywhere I’ve been.
You can get much cheaper places in Side, but if you want to be near the old town as we do, then be aware that many of the cheaper places, albeit I have never really had a bad stay in any, are usually around an half hour walk from the old town.

We stayed at Leda Beach for our 2nd time from 23/04/22 to 30/04/22 and had a totally relaxing time again.
This is a little gem of an hotel and a fantastic base for your trip to Side.
Firstly if you want 5 star then best look at the bigger all inclusives but if you want, a more than adequate place to stay, in beautifully kept gardens, amongst Roman ruins then look no further than Leda Beach.
The location just doesn't get any better, right on the beach one side and then on the opposite side you get to eat your meals overlooking the Roman ruins with the huge ampitheatre right on your doorstep.
I don't think in all my travels I can honestly say that the setting of the Leda Beach restaurant can be beaten, absolute fantastic to be able to sit here for breakfast and evening meals.
We was in one of the little chalets this time around and found it very comfortable, nicely decorated, a nice quiet space around us and a lovely little balcony/verander.
We stayed half board and again found the food more than adequate, mostly Turkish but always fresh and a great choice of salad dishes to go with your main dish.
The pool area is lovely and well kept, as is the whole place.
The staff are wonderful, all very friendly and helpful and the rooms are cleaned every day. Towels changed 2-3 times during the week, but we asked a couple of occasions and the cleaners will always change them for you if requested.
The little groundfloor flats on the beach level have all been refurbished since our last stay and look lovely, all have big patio doors/windows now.
A couple of little negatives since our last stay, fresh orange juice is now extra at breakfast and the wifi is now charged per phone rather than for the room, I suppose they are trying to get some money back after a terrible couple of seasons, but just two small gripes and nothing to ruin a wonderful stay.
The setting of the Leda Beach just makes you feel like you're on holiday in real ancientTurkey without even leaving the hotel, a real Mediterranean gem.

Everyone considering the Leda beach hotel MUST read this. Location is the only positive apart from the beach boy.from the minute you arrive you are ripped off, we was charged for the safe, which we expected, and air con, which is advertised as free, £120 was the cost which went into the receptionists pocket. We had previously asked for ground floor due to mobility issues, they would only accommodate this for another £160 to upgrade to a bungalow, which also went into his pocket. Food in the restaurant is inedible and covered in flies, breakfast was appalling, we lived on boiled eggs, if you want orange juice that's another £3 each. The pool is minging with a dirty greasy tide mark all the way around. And various foreign bodies floating including clumps of hair. We spent our day on the tiny little beach, a basic lunchtime snack with a local beer will cost between £30 and £40, local beer is 5E a bottle, vodka and mixer is 9E for local or 10E for so called smirnoff but waiter was caught giving local and charging for premium, be aware you will be charged for food and drink that you did not have. Farat was the only positive about the beach front bar/ restaurant. An average evening meal for 2 with a couple of drinks will cost in excess of 70E. This is not the real Turkey and be prepared to have deep pockets, we met a couple who like to drink and was costing them £250 a day. Rooms are not cleaned regularly, on day 4 we had to ask for our bedding to be changed, if you use the beach bar my advice is to pay your bill as you go and to check what you are paying for as Abdallah will start as your best mate then charge you for all sorts that you have not had, again lining his pocket

The staff at the hotel from cleaners to the owners are such lovely kind hearted and genuine people. The hotel bar/restaurant is right on the beach and most evenings there was a beautiful sunset. There is the amphitheatre restaurant on the road side of the hotel. Stairs are pretty tough going for those unsteady on feet or struggle with lots of steps.
There is dr aspirin and jack on the beach side just between this hotel and the one next door that organised and sold trips and experiences. They’re very honest and hard working and fairly priced. The meeting point (where minibuses pick you up for the trips) is a 5-10 minute walk away uphill a little at the side beach road barrier and where you’ll be dropped off afterwards too.
The hotel is one you can happily spend all day at, we were half board and had an amazing variety of food at both breakfast and evening meals. There were food, snacks and drinks available at either the hotel shop or bar/restaurant bringing drinks and food down to the beach if needed.
It has been said you arrive as a guest and leave a friend at this hotel and I honestly couldn’t agree more. It’s one lots of nationalities visit yearly (sometimes more than once a year) and we will definitely will be returning too. The rooms aren’t glamorous like a lot of the bigger hotels but perfectly clean and tidy. There are cats and their kittens that live at the hotel around the grounds and a pack of dogs that wonder around the beach (which are best avoided esp if one of the female dogs are on heat) they won’t bother you though. And it’s very cat friendly (which helped me not miss mine awhile away) cat and kitten food sold at the shop but feeding stations are dotted around side to feed all the stray animals.
The sea was amazing for swimming so clear, warm and if you go to the left when you go down the beach stairs there are no rocks so better for swimming.

We recently stayed at Leda Beach hotel for 10 days.
Sadly I have more cons than pros to stay at this place.
Given that it is not the cheapest place we were let down from day one. When we arrived there was no one at reception. We had to wait around for 10 minutes until someone turned up. While we were checked in, we didn’t have the receptionist’s full attention as he was too busy watching the football.
When we got to our room, it looked nothing like the photos on the listing. Turns out, the pretty rooms are the cute lil bungalows which cost more by the pool. Having said that, they can’t be great either because the bar by the pool blasts out the same 6 songs everyday and therefore we didn’t spend much time there as it was unbearable.
Additionally, when we got to our room, there was a nice little used bar of soap and a soggy half used toilet paper waiting for us. It’s embarrassing.
Our room was dated. There is not much else to say.
We had to pay 50 euros for air conditioning even though we had proof on our booking that was included. We have now contacted LoveHolidays regarding this to get compensation. How can you charge people that spend a significant amount of money at your shop, restaurant and on 10 days worth of accommodation in 35 degree heat and 27 at night? It felt like they tried to make as much money on top of what we have already paid as possible.
Some of the staff were rude and they seem to expected to be tipped for being that way.
The breakfast is low quality and tasteless. Everyday was the same and the only thing that had any taste was the waffles which were served every 4 days. Don’t get me started on the awful coffee and the fact that they had no dairy alternatives.
Lastly, the staff doesn’t seem to have any understanding of privacy. The cleaner would knock once and proceed to walk in before you even had the opportunity to get to the door.
Another time, the maintenance guy decided to just walk in and assess the broken shower door.
The place itself is pretty but will not blow your mind. The area is extremely touristy and unenjoyable not to mention how expensive food and drink is for what it is. For the entire 10 days, I did not feel like I had proper authentic Turkish food.

The grounds of this hotel are long, one end reaching to the bar and the beach, and the other end culminating in the restaurant and the amphitheatre of the old town of Side. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Rooms are apartment style, along walkways lined by many plants bearing fruit and flowers. The food was fresh and tasty. The rooms were comfortable. The private beach was a nice addition. The location was perfect. It was an easy stroll to the harbour and the old town. I had a wonderful two week stay. Thank you Leda Beach!

Basic but usually clean, nice garden borders. Arrived late post a two hour ‘speedy’ transfer! Shown to room above reception up metal stairs. Very noisy as reception open 24hours. Hotel next door was playing loud music too. We asked to move to a quieter room which they did at the cost of 10 euros. Breakfast buffet ok but evening meals were dreadful. What should have been hot was cold and very little meat and no fish. Basic brown chicken stew or similar, salads all vey bland and yoghurt based. Charged 4 euros for one coffee with dinner. Also be aware that orange juice which they push at breakfast is 2.50€ each. Several people were stung by this on leaving. Drinks in beach bar are expensive as is the local market on site. Larger supermarket worth a trip even for beers. On check out, at 5am the manager accused us of not paying our bar bill from the night before! We had settled up all our bills. He pushed my husband against the wall and shouted at him before phoning his bar man and finding we had payed. He did not apologise at all but marched off! Disgusted at the poor attitude and aggression shown to us. Would not recommend.

Hi I visited in March it was cold at night so no need for it
Medium size pool. You can stand up as an adult both ends without it going over your head.
Sorry Alimom but the latest I've visited is September
