After a lifetime of international and business travel, I have never come across a 3-star hotel that offered as much as the Ibis Patong. This hotel has been my first choice for short stays in Patong (usually when returning home from international travel) since I came to live near the southern tip of Phuket Island more than 5 years ago. When I decided to take monthly short breaks away from home a few months ago, the Ibis Patong was again my first choice and I have visited the hotel 3 times since. The main reasons I visit this hotel are the sincere warmth of the welcome I receive (see photos for examples), the quality and efficiency of service and the level of comfort and facilities. Thanks to Kun Ou, Kun Ray and their team, the check-in process is friendly, fast and super safe. The process starts with hand sanitizer and a temperature check. All check-in staff wear masks and are stationed behind screens. There are many social distancing signs in the lobby and elevators. The "super safe" approach was evident throughout my stays, for example the outdoor dining tables where I eat breakfast are, by my estimate, more than 3 meters apart (chair to equivalent chair). On each of my visits, my room was spacious, quiet, immaculately clean and had a pleasant view overlooking the likewise immaculately clean swimming pool framed by luxuriant tropical vegetation. The WiFi worked perfectly (streaming Netflix, iTunes, Youtube all fast) and the TV had a good choice of foreign channels (BBC...). The air conditioning was so effective that I only used it at the lowest fan setting. The hotel is located far enough away from traffic and people noise so as to be very quiet, but is also a comfortable walk away from everything, including Patong Beach, Jungceylon and the new Central shopping/restaurant mall. For restaurants, I would recommend Kun Ice's Thai restaurant next to the fruit and vegetable section inside the Big C shopping center in Jungceylon: some of the best Thai food I have ever tasted at a modest price. I will continue my monthly shorts breaks away from home and the Ibis Patong will continue to be my destination.

I came to Phuket in 2013/2014 and stayed in this hotel. Really liked it so much and decided to come back to this hotel again. Our first trip from airport to hotel was by a minibus costing us THB 180 per person (taxi would be THB 800 per car). Unfortunately, the minibus airconditioner was not cold and the driver's skill was horrible causing me headache. Location wise, ok it's near to the Patong beach within walking distance. Along the beach there were a lot of stalls selling fruit juices and foods. We were lucky there were 2 stalls selling halal rice and noodles, really affordable especially those on a budget trip. The taste also quite good. However, to go to Bangla Road (entertainment street, very happening, at night!) we have to walk a bit probably 10-15 minutes depending on your pace. Because this was our second time coming here so, going to Bangla Road was just to see how good was the entertainment this time around. Well, for those who loved alcohol and sexy shows, this would be the place. We wanted to eat lobster in one of the halal stalls inside a foodie area but turned off when we saw a stall opposite selling crocodile meat. We didn't join any excursion trips this time as we had done it previously. so, this time our trip mainly a leisure stroll. We took a public bus with cheap fare THB 30 (taxi THB 200) to go to old Phuket town but we stopped at Phuket Central Festival mall which was far better than Jungceylon Mall with more food stalls available. The trip was nice as it was very windy. No aircond necessary. Hotel wise - I booked standard type, nothing to shout about, no toothbrush/toothpaste available, the shower stand was loose therefore, the shower head was not able to fix in a direction we want, the water was hot eventhough it's a colder option but could be related to the hot weather. I took shower everytime coming back to the room after a walk due to the hot weather. The sky has no clouds!. All these really didn't matter to me much. However, one thing i was a bit annoyed was with the housekeeper in charge whom was a bit rude. We came out a bit late in the morning and requested some time before she could make up the room. She said she was busy and needed to do a lot of things. Even when we were about to leave the room and told her about it, her reply was not nice though.

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for one night during our vacation in Phuket. The location of the hotel is fantastic, as it is situated in close proximity to Patong Beach and Bangla. The hotel lobby is very modern and boasts an Instagram-worthy design. The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful, but the room and bathroom were quite small and cramped.
Despite the small size of the room and bathroom, our stay was overall satisfactory. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel also provides basic amenities such as a mini-fridge, air conditioning, and a TV. However, the room could have been more spacious and comfortable, especially for a longer stay.
The breakfast provided by the hotel was decent. They offered a variety of options including cereal, toast, eggs, and fresh fruit. However, it would have been nice to have more variety of options.
In conclusion, while our stay at this hotel was satisfactory, I would not choose to stay here again unless every other hotel in the area was fully booked. The location is great, but the small room and bathroom size made the stay less comfortable.

This hotel needs to be gutted and totally refurbished or rebuilt.
The hotel is located down a little side street and the reception area has recently been done up but the entire Hotel needs to either be ripped down or totally refurbished.
The manager here is an extremely pleasant and professional man and has a hard task working with such an old dated Hotel.
The rooms are very old dated with doll decor uncomfortable beds the small outdated LCD TV with poor quality reception.
They provide tea and coffee making facilities, a safe and free bottled water.
The bathrooms are very cramped and the rooms the corridors and everything about the hotel is in serious need of a complete gutting and rebuilding or a table refurbishment as at the current status in I could not recommend this hotel and I would not stay here.
It's a very disappointing property for an Accor hotel.

The place is within walking distance of Patong beach.
They were kind enough to allot us connecting rooms on seeing the kids with us after initially denying it on phone. The room was big enough and was different from other ibis hotels. It was good to see the monotony break of the same colours of other IBIS properties in Thailand. They also provided a Fruit Basket for us in the room.
Has a swimming pool which was deep for my kids and they did not enjoy it.
Food was ok. The bathroom door of one of our rooms had to be pushed hard to close it. There was a issue with the balcony door too. Had reported it to reception but wasn't repaired within 3 days of our stay.
One of the elevators could not take load of more than 2 person.

the hotel is very helpful for preparing the relative documents for entry Thailand required by COE application. stayed in a mountain facing room, good service and friendly staff. breakfast is now set menu instead of buffet due to pandemic, would recommend anyone with a budget to stay.

I have stayed at Ibis hotels in Bangkok and HuaHin in the last few months, and found them to be comfortable and quite practical in the sense they have the basic amenities to make your stay comfortable without the unnecessary flashy things which drive rates up.
Not this one. Even basic things are missing. The staff have all been trained to say that this is a “budget hotel” when you ask for anything. And they are not the most friendly bunch!!
USD 60 per night is not a lot but given the price structure in Thailand, it is reasonable to expect basic things at this rate. The hotel’s location is also quite removed from the heart of Patong.
As I said, it’s not worth any money.

For 3 years I spend my holidays in this hotel! Very nice place, clean, with good food and price. Good localization, 5min walking to patong beach and nearby comercial shops, restaurants, markets and shopping malls. The crew is very kind, helping in many issues as tours and good places to go. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all staff for making me feel like home during my 9 nights stay.
I stayed at this property for my first and second trip to Phuket. Its location near Patong beach and car park were my preferences.
Cleanliness and facilities are always accord standard.
Hotel staff are very helpful. But what makes me write this amazing review to this property is how caring they are for when I was not feeling well and was offered breakfast in my room instead of at the restaurant.
Despite the Covid hotel management difficulties, staff are still motivated and contribute their best to their job.

It's the service, care and management that makes this older, but solid, Ibis a safe haven for the budget conscious traveller. Every inch of the hotel is well maintained and sparkling clean. The bed is the winner out of the 5 hotels I have stayed at this trip, one of them being a 5*. The breakfast is amazing for the 150 baht price and the restaurant is air-conditioned. One downside is the thin walls between the rooms. Location is a fair hike from Bangla Rd and that may be good or bad depending on what you are after. Some ok restaurants around here. Nice pool.
