We took a tour group there in February. The hotel is a good bit (2-3 miles?) south of the city center. The hotel has two "towers" connected by the lower 3 floors. The older, south tower was fair. The rooms & halls had been remodeled, but the elevator was tiny, We could only get about 4 people in it at a time, so catching it was a lengthy process.

The newer northern tower had also been remodeled and the rooms seemed to be a bit larger. The elevator was MUCH larger and more convenient.

The dining are was spread across 2 wings with the serving area in the center. That made getting your food somewhat challenging when there were many people there.

Some kind of construction was going on immediately in front of the hotel so parking was virtually non-existent. Our coach driver was highly skilled and managed to get us in and out, but it was a challenge. .

The staff was nice and helpful,

Our Holy Land tour group stayed at the Royal Plaza Tiberias during March 2023. We were give a very good welcome to the hotel. The staff were dynamitic an were very helpful especially the manager. I would recommend the hotel if you are staying in Tiberias. It is however 20 minutes from the centre of the town. The food and accommodation were excellent and the staff service were very helpful. The bedrooms were spacious with many having great views of Galilee. The hotel is good but sadly the pool was not yet open for this season. The dining room could have been bigger but the food was excellent. The rooms were clean with good service. For those who want it there is a souvenir shop in the lobby. We made good use of the bar probably could have had a beer on draft. If the hotel was just a little nearer to the centre it would be perfect for any touring group. Worth booking!

Little rooms in the old central area, some door, window and bath details to be repaired. Bigger, nicer and more comfortable rooms in the new area, facing the Tiberias Lake. In general, the whole structure cannot be compared with a 4 stars hotel as in Europe.
Very good service, big breakfast and evening buffet, very kind and helpful personnel both in the eating area as well as at the reeption desk.
To be recomended for the position and the quality and variety of food offered.

Situated at the southern edge of the commercialized section, this is a perfect perspective for photography of the sunrise over the Golan mountains and the Sea of Galilee. Ample parking for cars and tour buses. Ample-sized dining room can accommodate small and large groups.

As we checked in, there were at least two busloads of very loud, boisterous and unruly teenagers who proved to help make the stay there a bad experience. The lines for the buffet were so long that you had to wait a long time to get food. There was noise, loud talking, laughing, etc, outside our door very late. A request for a room with a view was initially granted and then we were told that they were sold out.
Altogether a not very pleasant stay.

The main reason of choosing this hotel was the pool. We came with our little son and wanted him to enjoy there.
We arrived to the hotel at 3 pm, went down to the pool area at 3:45 and lifeguard informed us that it's closing at 4 pm.
Thanks a lot for letting us enjoy these 15 minutes.

Next day we asked the man on reception about pool timing and he literally said : " I don't know". Then we found out it opens at 12pm. We didn't catch it since it was the time of check out.
I've been in many hotels and first time l see such ridiculous pool timing.

Also room floors were very dirty. We were not able to put our son to crawl there.

We've complained on reception upon check-out. The guy there asked my husband's phone number so the manager could call him.
But we never received any call.

We arrived for a weekend vacation, we were welcomed by a kind reception staff, a clean and tidy room, suitable for a couple. Everything is maintained and well maintained, a large and clean outdoor pool, a large and tidy dining room, the quality of the food is excellent and there is a large selection for everyone. Kind staff. The place is best suited for organized groups. Free parking near the hotel and in the square near the hotel, walking distance to the Sea of Kinneret about 5 minutes as well as to Rabbi Meir Baal Hans site

My family and I stayed at the Royal Plaza Tiberias on 28 February to 1 March 2023. The hospitality of this hotel is very good, especially the manager who is still young and welcomes us. this is one of the hotels that I recommend when staying in Tiberias. staff service is very satisfying. lots of food choices. spacious room. responsive porter. although the water in the bathroom is always stagnant and needs repair, overall the hotel is good. the location is a bit far from downtown but the rooms are comfortable. the dining area is a bit cramped for groups. clean rooms and floors. guests with wheelchairs are not a problem. my family and I have stayed at this hotel several times and their standards regarding quality have not changed. it's just that the souvenir shop in the lobby is rarely opened. there is a small bar in the lobby with ample selection of drinks. i am happy to stay in this hotel.

My spouse and I are doing an EO tour of Israel and Jordan. When we arrived at the Royal, we were so impressed! Great view of the Sea of Galilee, in room hot tub, tasty fruit tray. The view off of the lounge is amazing.

But, there were a few issues. We’re in room 910, and there is a distinct sewer smell in the room. The fitness room and pool are closed, and the staff seemed annoyed to even be asked about it. The in room tub would have taken a half day to fill to a useable level

The meals were good, and it’s not the worst place I’ve stayed. It just had so much promise initially! I truly hope they can pull it together.
