Ein Gedi hotel has been around for ages & lots of historical & amazing sites by the Dead Sea. Don’t expect a 5* hotel - it’s not meant to be!! It’s more of bungalows with simple accommodation but you’ll love the place. Great spa, for when the Big C is over!! Take your alcogel & go visit this area! And don’t miss this place!
The wifi is literally terrible, if you plan on communicating with your family or friends through anything that uses wifi or service, dont count on it working. I tried texting some friends and each text took 5 minutes to send, I cant receive calls and voices are distorted by the bad connection.
It is a place close to Mossad fortress, Cumran mountains, Dead Sea, treatment mood, swimming pool, sauna. It is like 1,5 maybe 2 km from Dead Sea. I love this place. I have been there in the February of 2018. It is a warm place, below 400 metres of mark zero. On the way you could see plenty of historical places, described in the Hole Bible.
Nestled below a mountain range and the Dead Sea, this hotel is set in a beautiful shady botanic garden with amazing plants and views. Check in was excellent with friendly staff and superior room with mountain view was modern, clean, comfortable and had a veranda in the garden. Had wonderful massage in the spa and enjoyed a salt water pool for the first time - water pumped up from the Dead Sea - quite a weightless experience! Great dinner and breakfast buffet - chef even walking around checking everyone was happy. The food was excellent. Took advantage of free access to the Ein Gedi Spa/Beach 5km south toward Masada. Facilities included towel, lockers, refreshments, spa & shop, showers and a tractor ride about a km to the beach for a float in the Dead Sea off a sandy/salt crusted beach in clean clear blue water (fresh water showers and loos are on the beach). This beach is very clean and was not very busy when we visited - much, much better than the beaches at the north of the Dead Sea - well worth the 30 minute drive south to get to Ein Gedi.…
A very large, drunk party with annoying rock music was going on outside out window until after midnight. Sleep was impossible. I complained to the manager but only got a "soory about that." This is not the peaceful country garden experience that they advertise. Do not book here unless you are ready for party central. Should have stayed in our quieter hotel in Jerusalem.
