Last stay here was in 2013… really different ambience compare to my current’s stay. Room interior looks outdated, limited in amenities (no hair comb, no cotton bud, etc)… and with their No Plastic campaign during the pandemic, better to provide the complimentary water with mineral water in glass bottle packaging instead of refillable water with Ikea glass bottle.
I returned to this hotel with high expectations from a previous stay several years ago. In the intervening period I have also stayed at newer establishments- intercontinental, the Grand Mercure, the older Sheraton, papadayan, Hotel Padma and several others. In a number of ways some of the newer competition has overtaken the Hilton. Booked two executive rooms. 1108 and 1109 The breakfast is by far the best experience at the hotel Comfortable bed and good quality linen Professional reception staff with a special mention being Berlin who is worthy of a concierge or management position. Broken torch in room No bathrobes Only one razor One sachet of sugar and instant coffee you’d expect in a low rent motel. Damaged cupboard doors ( holes) Loose electrical plugs which easily detach from wall mounting risking electrocution especially for young children Refrigerator was not working and dirty which was promptly replaced. A 1990’s “ iPod ‘ compatible bedside clock - donate these or chuck them in a bin. The executive rooms would normally entitle one to a lounge but this was closed so you pay significantly more only to be on a higher floor. I would recommend to get the cheapest room - services are the same besides the views are not that pretty anyway. Concierge service ? Is there one ? Learn a thing or two from the intercontinental where one is introduced to a concierge and who follows up on guests to confirm that all is well. Room service is slow and the magic button is not always answered - morning of June 8. For service at the pool you have to contact room service - really odd. I appreciate the difficult times in the hotel industry but don’t alienate guests who would possibly be repeat guests.…
It’s been a while since I visited Hilton Bandung last, and the hotel still delivers. What impressed me the most back then was the quality and taste of food, and the chef has definitely kept it up. During the pandemic, health safety is one of our main concerns. Hilton Bandung has proven that health protocols are seen to at all areas in the hotel. Other than having more choices in the breakfast and In Room Dining menu and placing families with young children a bit further away from the smoking area, I can’t think of anything else they should improve. Thank you for a lovely experience, Hilton Bandung!
recommended hotel for business...exellent quality of accomodation and services as it bears a hilton name..really like the breakfast...good covid-19 protocols implemented...very friendly and helpful hotel staffs ..
The service and facilities are so good. The staff are very helpful. The cleanliness are good. All the facilities in the hotel are being disinfected before we stay. My family and I really enjoy our staycation.
