Everything about this property is fantastic, It’s a modern boutique hotel with natural touch that makes it super stylish yet homey. The room - very spacious and with comfortable beddings, bathroom is very unique with Japanese inspired soaking tub. The location is perfect, in the centre of Ubud-walking distance everywhere, but tucked away on Bisma street, that gives you the sense of privacy. My favourite spot in the hotel would be strolling along the bamboo courtyard garden heading to the lovely pool area overlooking luscious green forest of Ubud.
During my stay I couldn’t help myself but to splurge on lunch and dinner at Copper Kitchen & Bar Rooftop as they served really great quality of meals, using locally grown and ethically sourced produce. The setting of the restaurant is very pretty and romantic at night time.

This was my 2nd time staying here, and come to my surprise within four years apart, some of the staff actually remembered me. They were very lovely and accommodating, always ready to help me with anything. I will definitely come back again to Bisma Eight for my staycation in Ubud!

Bisma Eight just reopened in December 2021. Ubud is dependent on international travellers, therefore suffers a lot from closed borders. The economic downturn of Ubud, however, does not diminish its spiritual charm.

The hotel offered discounted rates without compromising its service standards. Of course, some parts of the hotel were not yet operational, such as the library. But the essential facilities are fully operational: the restaurant and the bar, the infinity swimming pool, and the gym. The menu in the restaurant is much more curated but rest assured they are great selections. The spa service was only available in room, because the villa was still under renovation.

Bisma Eight’s room interior design is a blend of tropical elements and Japanese traditional minimalism. It feels like Tadao Ando has gone native in Ubud: brutalist architecture blends with ethnic design. We fell in love immediately with the layered chambers concept, in which the anteroom is the living room, and the bedroom can function as office space. The inner sanctum is the bathroom with an ofuro tub, a shower glass box, and separate toilet.

We were provided with Utama Spice’s insect repellent BeGone Bug. Anywhere you stay in Ubud, there is a risk of bug bites. If you have sensitive skin, spray up.

We had a very pleasant stay and we hope the hotel survives and even thrives in 2022.

I can’t find any weak spot. Staff is most hearty, caring and ready to fulfil all your wishes. Cleanness of the hotel was perfect, room very spacious composed of separate living room, bedroom and big bathroom (plus toilet) with soaking tub from cedar wood.
For me personally, what to be highlighted the most was the food from Copper Kitchen, Bar & Rooftop...all the meals were delicious created with harmony from local ingredients.
We were (me and my husband) injured after a bike crash and I can’t express my thank to the Bisma Eight staff who took care of us in such an extraordinary way (you can see on the photos).
I also appreciated fitness room with treadmill.
You may find a piece of happiness here.

Stayed here last week. Be aware that there are currently 3 loud construction sites on all sides of the hotel, and there was also construction on the hotel roof itself while I was there. It is completely unacceptable that a hotel of this price category does not disclose this when booking. I booked through their website and there was and still is no notification of this at all. Same thing on all other platforms.

I would not advise to stay here in 2020. The hotel is not upfront about how much construction is going on, and the construction sites do not look like they will be finished anytime soon.

One construction is right next to the pool (the neighboring hotel is working on a new building with scaffolding stretching to literally just one meter away from the pool of Bisma Eight). The noise is all day, 9-6pm. Bisma Eight provides earplugs at the pool but the construction is so loud you can hear it through the earplugs.

Dear SabRei023, Thank for your recent stay with us and taking the time to share your feedback. We are concerned about the construction you mentioned coming from our neighbour “Goya Resort”, therefore we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We actually have published this information on our own website since July 2019, however other online channels don’t have the necessary tool/feature to publish our statement about the construction except Mr&Mrs.Smith online agent. We have been doing so many efforts to minimize this disturbance including having made an agreement with them that the project will be constrained to operate only from 9 am to 6 pm. If only we had received your feedback since the first place, so we could still have the opportunity to rectify the issue. Best wishes, Bisma Eight Management

I came across Bisma Eight on trip advisor and booked a garden suite for 5 nights
with my wife, something I’m glad i did because it truly is a beautiful boutique hotel. Best to book directly as they offer some inclusions and discounts as well. It’s only a short stroll away to many restaurants and activities. A 54sq meter tastefully decorated room with a very comfortable king size bed was pleasing. The service and friendliness of all staff throughout the entire hotel was exceptional. Novi who works in the pool bar/restaurant area was an absolute delight and super attentive. We did a complementary one hour cocktail making class with Sunjani who was lots of fun and really made sure we enjoyed ourselves. (Highly recommend) The food is very creative and of a high standard, and good coffee as well. The infinity pool and surrounding area overlooking the jungle is stunning and very relaxing. Only two negatives that come to mind- The light switch for the toilet is situated in the corner of the bedroom that was enjoying, especially during the middle of the night. There is a large hot tub in the bathroom that I found to be a waste of space, as it would be the last thing on my mind when it’s 35 degrees outside and considering there is a beautiful pool just meters away. Not to mention the huge volume of water to fill it.

Dear matt19641964, A fantastic big thanks to you for sharing. Glad to hear that you left with a happy memories. The goemon soaking tub is one of the Bisma Eight unique selling point and it has become our identity, so we believe it’s more about guest preference. Other than that we value your other feedback for our future improvement of hotel facilities. Hope to see you again Best wishes, Bisma Eight Management

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and we loved eveything about this hotel.
The rooms are surrounded by bamboo plantage and it creates quite and calming presence in the hotel.
The japanese bathtubs in the room is also fantastic, notwithstanding the room's size and design. It is minimalistic with a lot of creative touches.
The breakfast that we had was also unforgettable. The pisang goreng (fried banana) was one of the best that we ever had. Next to that, they have a lot of healthy choices which any vegan or vegetarian would sure love to have.
We also took the photograph session offered by the hotel. The photos were taken by a professional photographer and the result was very satisfying.

I think the right word for our stay here is VERY)

The design if the hotel is very good smart and sophisticated. Tge rooms are specious and cleverly separated. We stayed at the canopy suite and its a perfect choice for families with kids. There is a sliding door separating living room and bedroom so you can continue to enjoy your stay even after the kids are asleep. The couch is also very complex to sleep on. In the rooms you can find everything from ice bucked to coffee and sugar

The food in the restaurant is VeRy good. We tried almost everything from a rockwell burger to homemade pasta and everything was just delicious.

The pool is VERy good. The water is always the right temperature. Not to cold in the morning and not to hot during the day ( don’t know how the do it;). Als there are steps there so kids can safely play wity you sitting near them. Bar near the pool has daily happy hour from 16-19 and you get 2 signature cocktails instead of 1 for 130 idr. You get 20% of if you book directly. And the view is just awesome

If you are lazy like me you will enjoy massages in the room wity 40% discount if booked directly

Overall I think this is the best place to stay in Ubud

We have just spent 4 nights at Bisma Eight and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is pricey for Ubud but you’re paying for a beautiful, secluded, boutique hotel, set in lush scenery with amazing rooms. We had a forest suite and loved the view of the jungle from our bed. The infinity pool and bar were amazing and a special mention about the copper restaurant; food was fresh, local, creative and beautifully presented. The hotel arranged our airport transfers & a guided tour for our family each day. The staff were amazing and we would definitely come back.

We arrived in Ubud on 28th January for a 2 night stay at Bisma Eight. What a property it is. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel incredibly welcome. The infinity pool to beautiful. So peaceful and relaxing to be there and with a pool bar you really can switch off and unwind.
Food is beautiful.
Location wise it is ideal just a short walk to the town, markets and monkey forest, yet set back enough that you can truly relax.
I would definitely come back and would not hesitate to recommend to my closest friends and family

We stayed at Bisma Eight for a few nights over Christmas, and I'm so glad that the place has recently re-opened and is welcoming back visitors. The location is excellent, tucked onto the quiet Jl Bisma but walking distance into town. The infinity pool has one of the best views in Ubud, looking over the ridge below and framed by Bali's famed volcanos. We enjoyed the spacious rooms that have a tasteful, industrial vibe, and the wooden soaking tub was an absolutely treat. Highly recommended.
