We booked 5 nights in the family and friends room, we only ended up staying 1 night. This resort is so remote, and nothing is around. Air conditioning doesnt work well, toilet was broken (didnt flush) wifi kept dropping out. No TV or phones in the room and staff leave at 11.30pm - what is their was a fire? In all my travels around the world I have never left a bad review (only good ones) but I feel this resort needed me to comment.
With bad aircon in the room there is no escape from the heat, other than the pool
this resort is definately not for people with children or teenagers, I spoke to a few people who were also staying the resort and they were not impressed either.
Checked out after 1 night, and paying $215AUD per not, its not so cheap, Owner would not refund anything, only offered to waive our dinner bill. (which the food was average and very small menu)
Would not recommend this resort at all, I have also had my travel agent try for refund with no luck.
So La Joya - you can keep my money, however I will never recommend your resort and I hope this helps future customers decide not to stay with you The only good thing was your employee - Daisy, she was lovely

Please let me clarify some points about the resort ; La Joya Biu Biu is located in Balangan area which is still a quiet area far from the crowd of Kuta and Seminyak but this is exactly what our guests are looking for ; chilling around our infinity or hidden pools with a breathtaking view from the Indian Ocean or just reading a book seating around the garden or anywhere else, also going down to our private tiny beach for a swim or just watching the landscape around .I think it was just not the right place that you guys were looking for and i can fully understand your choices , its just a matter of what each people are expecting during their holidays. I would not say there is nothing around because it does have a few restaurants and supermarket around the resort and if you ride a bike many others facilities just 10 minutes away from us .About the air conditioning and the toilet , I am truly sorry that is happened during your stay but unfortunately we cannot predict when this will happen, that is why we have a maintenance and engineering team every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. to be reactive and resolve problems as quickly as possible, which we have done as soon as you reported the problem to our front office team , please accept my sincere apologies. About front office staff leaving at 11.30 pm you are right but for your information we do have security guard every night and day time on duty . The resort has got fire extinguishers and the nearest fire station is 3 km away so do not worry we got an eyes on every guest. Our hotel manager met you this day and proposed to you free upgrade to another room which you declined telling him your two daughters and yourself wanted to moved were crowd are , as we could not refund you for the nights he decided to offer you guys your restaurant and pool bar bills for a total of 2.129.600 IDR which is 140 Euros , by the way you did not even complain about the food while meeting him , it is a pity since we are open to hear all constructive feedback.One more things your room rate was not $215 AUD but $180 AUD. So one more time La Joya Biu Biu did not keep your money or has no intention to do it since we did not charge you your restaurant and pool bar bills and tried to find many other solutions for you guys to stay with us. About you wishing us to not get anymore booking we will not go down to your level of wishes but we all wish you a pleasant day and a lovely holidays in Bali Dear regards, The Management of La Joya Biu Biu Resort.

We stayed at Villa Singa for 9 nights. We had our own chefs who cooked incredible authentic meals for us. Indonesian breakfast are fit for a king! The view was spectacular. Spa services where 3.5 out of 5.. you can order a massage from the village that will come to you for less $$$... cleanliness was great, someone was lady’s sweeping and mopping. Every person on the property was warm and accommodating!

Some perfect views from this hotel, the reason we visited for the night. Villa was nice with very small plunge pool, could have some trees removed for a better views. Villas roof leaked when it rains. We visited the restraunt and a lot of the meals were out of stock. The rest of the menu wasn’t great to be honest. Breakfast was good with a large serving. The pool with best view was out of service which was annoying. So left everyone at the other pool, but views were amazing from there. There is a small spa which has good views but they charge per 15mins but the glass around it needs a clean. Fruits drinks at the pool are amazing. I recommend the place for a night but for the price I wouldn’t stay much longer.

Firstly, it was such a hard time for us doing the reservations. We managed to get several WA numbers, but the responses were slow. I can understand for this issue, perhaps the property has understaff during the pandemic. Hope to see the improvements for next reservations though.
Secondly, I have no complaints regarding the room itself. I was traveling with my family and managed to get 2 units Garden Side Lodge and 1 unit Superior Lodge. The rooms are very clean and bright with unique decorations and concepts. The view of the common area such as the pools and the restaurant are also amazing. However, it was such a shame that we, as the hotel guests, could not enjoy that view due to too many visitors coming in especially during the sunset time (which is the best view that can be enjoyed).
The visitors only pay Rp. 50,000 (it is amazingly cheap given the view of the hotel and comparing the room rates!!!), and they can get towels and sun beds. Me and my family were a little bit disappointed by this crowded as we couldn't enjoy the sunset and had to have our dinner at Mylo's restaurant due to too pack of people that we couldn't get any nice table for having dinner.
It would be much better if the property gives some thoughts and considerations for this issue. The hotel guests absolutely would love to spend the nice sunset in a decent circumstances, that's the reason that we spend some nights in the property. By offering Rp. 50,000 for entrance tickets for visitors, it ruins the moments at all. I spoke to the front desk officer while checking out for this issue. Some considerations to take, perhaps the property needs to increase the entrance ticket for visitors (just to be more selective). Instead of having a pack of visitors (some of them just take some pics without spending any consumptions from the restaurant), the property should take higher priority for in-house guests comfortability, in my opinion.
Hope to see further improvements from this hotel. By offering such great view and nice rooms, I hope the property can make any considerations to value its worth.
Lastly, the massage is great. Just make sure to make an appointment far before the arriving time because they have a full schedule for the massage.

As you mentioned it was difficult for you to contact us for your booking , i would like to apologize for that but in the meantime we had changed our reservations and front office phone number to a new one and i guess it was during your booking period , truly sorry about it. I am delighted that the rooms and the public area had met your expectations during your stay , even though as you mentioned it was crowded by guest passage for a day or as you said for sunset time. As you could see since covid the rates has been decreased and obviously the pool day pass as well which was 250k before covid but obviously we can not charge this rate at the moment while the condition is not better in Bali , but in a meantime i understand as in house guest you expected to find a quiet spot coming to La Joya Biu Biu Resort and enjoying the venue with your family , which it really depends on the day because we have some day where nobody is around and some other day where i agree its busier especially during the weekend or Indonesian public holidays. Anyways since November 1 th we did increase our pool day pass from 50k to 90k . Again thank you for your constructive feedback because i could see that you are trying to help us and i personally appreciate it. My room in nina 3 for friends and family, you have quite the loft for 2 beds. But since the resort only allow for 2 guests youll be charged for additional person. the View is breathtaking with 2 different pools. both are cool. u are required to swap towel token, so make sure u always bring back to them to get the card back. all the staffs are friendly and helpful, love the food and juice.
the beach is somewhat solitary and remote, feels of the private beach.
must try the senses spa, a 4 cottage cliff view of the spa room. u shud do the booking early since it is quite full from outside guest.
wish we were stay longer. there was no tv, since the hut style kinda bring you back to nature. also theres birds and often perch on your roof in the morning to make the morning call :)

We really enjoyed our stay at this amazing cliff side resort with its 3 pools and private beach! It is in a more remote location, but the taxi ride is worth it for the amazing ocean views and sunsets! The resort was fully booked, but seemed uncrowded. There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty of pool chairs, etc. The staff was very attentive and made sure that we were comfortable. They were very responsive when we communicated with them via WhatsApp, too. Our bungalow was large, clean and very comfortable with a king size comfy bed and good A/C. WiFi service was good and dependable. The restaurant was fairly good to average, but had a limited dinner menu. The ala carte breakfasts were always really great, though! We really enjoyed the pools and the beach, including the private pool that we were able to reserve on several occasions. The Balinese massages at their spa were probably the best massages that we have ever had! The massage huts are on a cliff side with the waves crashing below you. Amazing! One pointer about your stay….if you need peace and quiet, avoid the bungalows close to the pool or restaurant. The breakfast service and accompanying music start at 7 AM and the pool and restaurant music go on until at least 10 PM every night. We had a great stay overall (7 nights) and I would consider this resort to be an excellent value. I will definitely recommend it to others!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay!!! The accommodation was beautiful with everything we needed (we stayed in the friends/family room). The grounds and rim flow pools are stunning and the views from the restaurant, whether you're having breakfast or dinner, are breathtaking. The food was very good and the staff friendly. We had the most divine massage at the Senses Spa overlooking the ocean - it was pure bliss! We stayed for 3 nights but I wish we had had longer to just relax. The taxi drivers, who are available right outside the resort, we friendly and affordable. We would definitely come back and I highly recommend La Loya Biu Biu as excellent value for money.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely LOVED this hotel. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing getaway, with gorgeous clifftop views of the sea, two beautiful pools, plenty of daybeds, and the constant sound of the crashing waves below. The restaurant was amazing as well- beautifully decorated and delicious food. We also ordered the “floating breakfast” one morning and really enjoyed that. We also used the hotel’s laundry service, and our clothes came back to us quickly, having been washed, dried, iron, and folded. There’s a small private beach below that we visited a couple of times. The water here is pretty rough, so it’s really just to enjoy if you want to dip your toes in for a minute. It’s a gorgeous place for pictures and to enjoy some stunning views, though we definitely preferred laying in the day beds and enjoying the view of the beach from the cliff. Our stay here was simply perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic escape.
