Very disappointed in Keraton Jimbaran Resort. Having stayed here some ten years ago was looking forward to our stay, unfortunately the hotel has been neglected and the property was rundown. The rooms were a big let down with old saggy beds , threadbare sheets and manchester, my pillow smelt of dirty hair from previous guests and I doubt they had been replaced in years. The food and breakfast from the restaurant very average and seeing a cat running across the lawn with a large rat in its mouth was a bit of a worry. We had booked for three nights but stayed only one as they had a non refund policy that comes into effect two hours before check in. I don't like wasting money but losing $400 Au was better than another two nights staying there. The staff of the hotel were nice but the owners should spend some money on the property, maybe mine .

This place is filled with Balinese character, the decor is fantastic and there is an impressive bonsai tree collection on the perfectly manicured grounds. The pool is beautiful too. There's direct access to the beach, where it's white sands and plenty of sun loungers were available when I was there. You can see daily local life pass by which was nice. It seems like the hotel is generally past its 'hey day' and it's a little bit dated but everything was working ok and clean. The room was spacious, with an ornate front door and I had a lovely terrace. You could almost hear the waves from the terrace. Subject to availability you can stay past check out for 100k IR per hour. The only thing I didn't love about the hotel was that receptionist kept reminding me that I owed them money for a late check out even when we had agreed at check in that I would pay on check out. Excellent choice if you want to avoid a trafficked route to the airport (~10 mins on a Sat at 4pm).

Pros - traditional style, on the beach, near the seafood restaurants on the sand, nice pool. Cons - looking old and tired, breakfast is not up to standard, rooms are average, no shopping of note within walking distance.

Old school traditional Balinese style hotel right on the beach. The rooms are clean, resort area well maintained by friendly staff. Beach is lovely on its doorstep. Many restaurants and eating options within close walking distance. Will return, as we enjoy the traditional Balinese hotels with lovely surrounds.

What an incredibly beautiful hotel. Typically Balinese in design and beautifully maintained. We booked a double room with balcony and it was huge. The housekeeping come in every morning to restock and clean everything. Each morning the garden staff are out maintaining the stunning gardens, the pool staff are there at breakfast cleaning that too. The breakfast is lovely, cereal, toast, fruit, pastries, salad, full English plus rice and noodles. Tea coffee and juice too. There are free to use sun loungers on the beach. It has a great bar, and a lovely restaurant. The staff are the friendliest and happiest we have ever met. An absolute delight staying there for 2 weeks. Top tip- you can book out late for an extra £5 per hour after 12pm which was great for us as we weren't leaving until 5pm.

Room Tip: When you walk on to the beach turn left for the best restaurants. Rame and Akusuka are the best!

My husband & I stayed four nights at Keraton Jimbaran Beach Resort (just like we did 6 years ago - wanted to come back). We stayed in a beautiful Private Pool Villa (number 403, which is the best one). The villa is, like the rest of this beautiful hotel, built in traditional balinese style. All the three villas are closely situated to the very big pool & the beach. The hotel gardens are stunningly beautiful, with manicured bonsai trees & plants. The villas can only be booked by sending an e-mail to the hotel (reservation@keratonjimbaranresort.com). At present the villas are not bookable through the booking sites on the internet. (The deluxe rooms are though, and a good option is room no 59.) The villas are very big and have a beautiful bedroom next to the terracce facing the private pool, which is unusually big (about 8 x 3 meters). There is also a big gazebo with sheet where you can relax if it rains or in the evening. We even got massage there. The whole yard is free from any views from outside, so it is very relaxing and private. You can also order breakfast to the villa. It has a combined sittning room/dining room, a separate dressing room with lots of wardrobe space + a giant bathroom - all in marble- with a jacuzzi bathtub. This hotel is privately owned by a local family and has therefore suffered a massive lot of income during the 2,5 year long period when Bali was closed. As a consequence they have not had money yet to do some needed renovations, so some parts are worn; The Spa is closed and need total renovation and the restaurant by the pool/sea is also in need of renovation. However, you can get massage from a local woman (Ria W.), who is very proffessional, skilled and nice, or from a local Spa. There are many seafood restaurants on the beach just a couple of minutes away. And it only takes 5 minutes to walk to two of Bali’s best restaurants; Cuca + Kayumanis. We recommend this hotel despite its shortcomings in renovation, because of the ambience and nice staff. Bear in mind though, that Jimbaran Beach is full of rubbish under the winter months, beause of the streams coming from Java.

Lobby is large, so was the room.Lady at the reception desk was friendly. Large complex with beautiful bonsai trees on the grounds. Pool was large though water wasn't quite crystal blue. The beach is at the far end of the hotel. I couldn't say it was the cleanest., plastic and glass bottles. My wife complained about being hit by bamboo in the waves. The room was large and spacious Satellite TV was ok not receiving all the channels, but there were English channels. Romm had refrigerator, teapot, safe, hair dryer. Bathroom had soaps, bath gel shampoo, conditioner, comb, sewing kit, and ear swabs. Overall a great stay, though I'm not sure if the a/c would have gotten the room to my comfort temperature. Great place would stay there again.

Beautiful setup and friendly service. The resort grounds are just beautiful and full of flowers and trees. There are amazing carvings everywhere. The view from the restaurant is awesome since the restaurant is directly on the beach. The pool is also right there and surrounded by more flowering trees. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean equipped with bathtub and shower, both. The staff was friendly and service was nice. The location is perfect for visiting attractions in south Bali. We visited Uluwatu and tanah lot along with GVK and some beaches while staying here. We didn't have time to swim in the pool or the beach at the hotel but it looked inviting. We reached late at night on the day of checkin (10/11 pm) and were worried if we will be let in since some reviews mentioned nobody being at reception late at night and nobody picked up our calls when we tried to inform them of the late check in. But, when we reached, our checkin was smooth. The security person checked our name in the check in list and opened the main door, there was a person at reception who welcomed us and checked us in and another person carried our luggage to the room and explained how everything works. Some things on the hotel grounds are old and there would be paint peeled off the wood or cracks in the footpath. Also, there were a couple of stains on the pillow/bedsheet but we didn't mind that since it was clearly clean. Get the rate with breakfast included since otherwise it can get expensive quickly. The breakfast is plentiful and moderately tasty.

The Keraton Jimbaran Resort was an excelent option for us in Bali. The hotel is built in Balinese style and is located right in the beach, which not being excellent is one of the best in Bali for swim. The rooms are good having everything you need for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere in the hostel is relaxed and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay at Keraton Jimbaram if I return to Bali.

The location is great. Right on the beach, which means fantastic sunsets and sunrises. The rooms are big and spacious as well. Pool is good, and there are a few extra amenities, for couples and families, like table tennis. Breakfast selection was good too. The beach can be messy and dirty. Not the resort's fault and they do what they can to clean it up. And despite being so close to the airport, the beach is wonderful because tourists and locals use it. Spa services were under renovation when we visited in March 2020.
