We came to Kottayam as a wedding party needing twenty plus rooms. Thecresort is huge with choices in rooms.A modern building with contemporary decor, lift, etc for older folks and individual cottages spread over the property, which requires a bit of walking but beautiful to stay in. Kids loved the 2 floor cottage with the open bathroom. We had a pre wedding function which was completely organised by the hotel. Didnt have to do anything, staff arranged it from begining to end. Dinner was excellent local cuisine and all out station guests enjoyed it a lot. There are many activities to do arrangements made by the hotel itself, so enough to do for both the lazy and active members of the group. Swimming pool was great and relaxing. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Specially the breakfadt buffet. Our entire group where oldest was 85 and youngest was 8 years old had a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

The setting of this hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms are light and bright, beautifully furnished and have comfortable beds and sofas, some even have attached balconies with mini gardens,view from the hotel was awesome Service is superb and always delivered with a wide smile and friendly greeting. Food was delicious&the breakfast buffet also has a wide selection.we really enjoyed the stay @windsorcastle Kottayam

Windsor castle is the best option for the people who are visiting kottayam. The ambience and the service provided is just amazing. The food provided is just a treat for our taste buds and the lake view is enough to show value for your money. The staff demand nothing but perfection for the guest and thats why windsor castle is the best option to stay in kottayam .

The room had no WiFi connection, and they did give me a device to help pick up a better signal but it really didn't work. The room smelled so much like bird droppings! They had so many pigeons in the window area and the dropping were also on the inside of the window area of the room. They try to disguise this smell with an plug in, but it's over powering. I'm really disappointed with the hygiene taken especially during COVID-19, and you would expect a proper clean would have fixed that issue as well as doing something about the bird nesting by the windows. The room service was also horrible. They took too long delivering the food. The morning of check out I asked for my food within the average time they took to deliver, but they didn't show up until I had to check out. They still charged me for the food that was never delivered. They don't apologize when they get things wrong, and try to blame you for the mess up. The thing that bothered me the most was at the time of check out the front desk receptionist stopped his conversation with me to attend a man. As a place that is supposed to offer good service to foreign customers you would not have expected this sexist behavior! If you are a female traveling, do not recommend this place! I luckily only booked two days here because of the negative reviews I had previously read, but I had to leave. The worst stay and experience I have had in a hotel that claims to be upscale.

Stayed at suite 606 for about 2 nights and had a miserable stay . Staff is way too laid back and none with walk an extra mile for ensuring customer satisfaction. Check in was okay . But room wasn’t great . One of the AC didn’t work . Room service Telephone was busy most of the times . So when you need to order something, you really need to try many times . Food was below average . Biriyani was pathetic. Chicken was old . The following days my Room service orders were just average .
Breakfast at the restaurant was far below any standards . The food @ Chaffing dishes were cold . No proper replenishments . Coffee in Urns turn cold after a while . Staff were least interested in service . A gentlemen clad in cream blazer told me that it will be difficult for him to place an order for an Eggs to order at Breakfast since kitchen has denied taking such orders because the hotel was busy !!!!! I felt that he wasn’t interested in any service at all . They need to REALIZE that the guests are paying for their breakfast and need what they are supposed to have . However a blue blazer gentleman at the coffee shop was courteous. Waiter service was pathetic . Even for a glass of water , you need to wait long .
Uniforms for Room service waiters were pathetic . People walk into your room bare footed . I don’t know how they claim to be a star hotel !!!!
Overall a PATHETIC STAY
This property has lot of potential to become the Best property in the City . Need to ensure that Staff needs to be well trained and well groomed . Customer service should be the key

We conducted the marriage of our daughter in the Convention Center of Windsor Castle and had also booked a few rooms for the guests. The resort is a huge one with many number of rooms, lift and all modern amenities, ample parking where about 800 vehicles can be parked. The lunch for the marriage function was organised by the hotel staff which was really excellent. The staff was very co-operative and managed the function from the beginning to the end and all the guests enjoyed a lot. The rooms were also very beat and the guests had nothing to complain. Everything was really excellent.

Of all the hotels in Kottayam this hotel stands out for the convience it offers. The staff makes an extra attempt to please ask the guests and that is commendable.
The rooms are badly in need of an overhaul,especially the cottages, as it's not convenient to access the bedroom and the toilets. The breakfast buffet needs a change in variety.

My family and I organized my wedding at the Windsor Castle hotel during mid April 2021. We stayed for around 10 days at the hotel and had a really good experience. The location is beautiful as well as in close proximity to the city. Our friends and family also had an amazing experience while staying at the cottages. The staff at Windsor especially Mobin, prethayshia and anitta were very understanding and supportive throughout the stay and helped us with our various requests. We all loved the food at Windsor. Special Kudos to the Chef and Nithin for making the pre wedding dinner at Nallukettu an absolute delight. They also arranged transportation for our guests through Abey's Dudus cabs which was very reliable and comfortable. We are very thankful to the entire team at Windsor for going out of the way to make the wedding at Windsor a memorable one even during the stressful time of COVID-19.

We stayed at the Windsor Castle hotel for my niece's wedding. The hotel and gardens were a beautiful wedding venue, with trees and flowers everywhere! The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, with great views. We enjoyed our meals at the restaurant, where the attentive staff helped us learn about the delicious Indian foods on their menu. The best part of our stay was the hotel staff! Everyone, from the front desk team to the bellmen to the housekeeping staff, made us feel welcome, well-cared for, and like we were very special guests. We had a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for 1 night during our stay in Kerala . Once we arrived ,the bell boy took our luggages immediately and waited for us in the lobby while we checked in at the front desk ,which was a very quick process as well. We had stayed several hotel while our Indian trip,but never received this kind of service at other locations,so we are very much impressed . I have no complaints at all.This hotel have lots to offer like boat ride ,coracle ride,fishing , ayurvedic treatments, spa .
All of the staff was polite and showed great hospitality to us.I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I had a chat with the hotel staff regarding this 6 months back. Even I was looking to book this convention hall for a function. Basically the hotel looks to get a turnover of around Rs 500000 from the convention hall per function. Thus, they would vary their per plate charges depending on what guaranteed pax u assure them.
There are more places to choose from in the Kottayam area.
