We were really pleased with our stay at the Rain Forest Ayur County Resort. It is ideally situated and we loved the old fashioned Kerala design of the hotel. This is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Kerala & its people instead of a cold impersonal hotel. The staff makes you feel like part of their family and give wonderful support in every need of your visit ,and also there lots of activities, Artificial Rain & Fog, Waterfalls, House Boat, pedal boat, swimming pool, kottavanchi, etc...They speak very good English and their food especially breakfast are excellent and will accommodate any request if possible. We stayed at 3 hotels in Kerala and this one was our favorite for its peaceful and gracious atmosphere. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. If I come to Kottayam, your hotel will be my first choice. Highly recommendable hotel.

We were very fortunate to have a (too brief) stay at this lovely resort in such a peaceful setting. Our accommodation was in a very comfortable heritage cottage nestled into a natural setting with incredible views towards a waterfall. The beautiful old building was complete with modern amenities (including AC and clean, modern bathroom). Our relaxing stay was topped off by the kindness and hospitality of Kannan who has worked at the resort for many years. He took us on an introductory tour of the resort, then invited us to a special event at a nearby temple (lighting of 50000 lamps). We thoroughly recommend this wonderful place and its fantastic staff (everyone was very helpful).

I stayed at Rainforest with My family. It was one of the best experience we had. Check-in procedures were easy and we treated with a welcome drink when we arrived. Front desk staff was very polite and they described all about the property and near by places. Rooms are very good mainly the bathroom is very neat and clean. I should appreciate the housekeeping staff for it. Food is awesome. the hotel ambiance is good. Purely within nature.
Altogether we had an amazing experience at Rainforest Ayur County Resort . One of the best property for families and couples.

I had great expectations while going to this resort seeing the wonderful pics and reviews about the place. I went down to
book their banquet hall , but unfortunately I couldn't even enter the premises. The security guard at the entrance refused to open one half of the gate and when requested to open he started behaving rudely and sarcastically asking us to drive in though the half opened gate. I had phoned up the resort and requested for help, they asked me to wait at the entrance gate and assured to offer help to enter. But then, I decided not to go ahead with this place being afraid of the fact that my guests could face the same issue and could be disrespected at the entrance itself. I would urge the resort authorities to pls look into this issue and maintain a level of customer service that doesn't affect their guests.

I along with my family stayed in Rain Forest Ayur County Resort, Kottayam for two nights in the month of December. All amenities were very good maintained. The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. The ambience of the hotel was fabulous. We got the feeling we were staying in a forest. They have everything for a family to spend time togetherlike boating etc.All the staff I spoke with were helpful, friendly and very professional. Tasty food. We would definitely stay here again.

Though a native of Kottayam , I just happened to know about this resort, while I joined a get-together of Changanacherry Friends 85 (teenage friends group since 1985) at Rain Forest Auyr County Resort, Kottayam. It’s 6 km drive from Kottayam town (approx 15 mts).
It truly amazing experience of real forest ambience on a slope with wild trees and sprinklers on tree branches for artificial rain in case it doesn’t rain. On the boundary flows the silent Meenachil river.
Each Cottage has been created with unique traditional wooden house architecture (Arra and pura centuries old heritage bungalow that belonged to rich families in Kerala).
I should admit it will Live an everlasting impression in our minds filled with happiness and joy.

Visited the resort on 25/12/2017.it is a resort synchronised with nature.Enjoyed artificial rain, swimming pool, water fall and kutta vanchi. Food you have to order in advance and is costly.They will entertain day trip with out staying for small groups provided you take a room for rent.

This is a 14 room resort, tucked away almost in the heart of Kottayam town, well, just about 3 kms from the centre. It is located on the banks of the Meenachil river. Rooms are in cottage style, architecture traditional Kerala manner with wooden ceiling and walls. All rooms are airconditioned. Few rooms are on the waterfront. It is a good place for fishing enthusiasts. Food was very tasty, though not very cheap. The swimming pool is small but well maintained.There is a good conference hall which can seat about 100 and an amphitheatre equally big on the waterfront. All in all a good place for a family stay.

We visited Rain Forest in March 2018. It is by the side of Meenachil river. The cottages are in traditional Kerala style. It is a beautiful property, full of plants & trees. We still cherish the memory of statue of elephant with baby. The jack fruit trees were full of fruits when we visited. The Kerala food is tasty, timely cooked, and warm. There is in room service, but you have to order in advance. There is no bar, no wifi, no games room and no newspaper in room. We visited the swimming pool, Nila, and the artificial water-fall. The travel in Kutta vanchi to the waterfall is interesting. They make artificial rain most of the daytime. Day trip in Meeachil river or to nearby attractions is possible. The staff are friendly, and respond to every call promptly. Their restaurant table-tops need work-up. They can easily build an aquarium there (carps, gold fish). It is good value for money.

I went with the family for a relaxing day and it was completely worth it. The concept of a man-made rain forest with on-demand rain is interesting. Facility has a traditional Kerala Style touch to it. All the buildings are built to authentic Kerala style architecture. Clean facility with a nice swimming pool and waterfalls. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the friendly staff. Food was excellent, even though we have to pre-order them. Free breakfast was really good. Food was always freshly made and tasty. Enough parking space is available too. It's a little bit difficult to locate the place and there are not enough signs on the main road to guide the guests.
