We stayed here at the start and end of our three weeks in Kerala and Tamil Nadu and recommend it without hesitation. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms spacious, and the rooms we stayed in had balconies complete with a table and chairs. Breakfast is served on a shady terrace and it was delicious on every occasion. Saj's location could hardly be improved. On Kunnunpuram junction it's a short walk to the Parade Ground, Jawahar Park and the Chinese Fishing nets, and a 100 rupee rickshaw ride to Mattancherry and the old Jewish district. In between there's Palace Road which is a great shopping street for just about any kind of Kerala merchandise.
Maybe the best thing about Saj's is that he's at the centre of a network of drivers and homestays throughout Kerala and Tamil Nadu. We had a fantastic time in India and a lot that was down to the driver he provided (hats off Nishad, you were great) and Saj's homestay and hotel recommendations up and down the country.
What else can I say? A very sound man with a lovely family who does his best for his guests. Thanks a million Saj!

Highly recommended.
Friendly, well equipped, and clean homestay, with comfortable beds and fabulous showers. The breakfasts served every morning are varied and some of the freshest food we had in Kochi, and the homestay's location makes it ideal for exploring Fort Kochi.
We were in room 5, with a balcony looking out over the bustle of the road, and slept fabulously.
There is an ATM downstairs, shops at the end of the road where you can pick up water, soft drinks, and nibbles, and a great selection of restaurants within a 10 minute stroll.

Saj and his family were so sweet, the food they prepared for us on the terrace every morning with care was excellent and fresh, Saj's suggestions for Yoga and cooking classes were top rate (both excellent resources) and he organised of our appointments for us as if he were our very own personal assistant. If your not staying in one of the luxury hotels in the area, this is definitely the next best thing, maybe even better!

Both the location and the fact that it is neat and clean made it a place I'd recommend to any one who wants a base in Fort Kochi from where to walk to the historic and other places in the Fort and elsewhere in Ernakulam and Wellington Island because Saj Homestay is within walking distance of the jetty from where you can take the the ferry, a cheap, reliable public service. If you're in a four-wheeler, you can park, like I did, right under the homestay on a wide road. Saj is very friendly and amiable, and while I didn't meet his wife, I relished the breakfast she cooked and I was equally impressed by the staff who help them run the homestay.

We had a lovely stay with Saj and his family. The room was clean, quiet, and cool with a nice western-style bathroom. The continental breakfast of eggs, toast, jam, and fruit were tasty (we asked for continental breakfast because we were suffering from Delhi belly). Saj and his family were pleasant. They offered recommendations, arranged a driver from the airport, and arranged a tuk tuk driver for around the city for the day. Overall a great experience and a highly-recommended place to stay.

Saj takes care of all the big things and even all the little things that make a big difference. Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed including for instance, a vanity table. The attached bathroom had a wonderful shower with plenty of hot water. The comfortable bed made for a restful night. The location is ideal, being in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of most of the attractions in Fort Kochi.
As a traveler, you'll benefit from Saj's extensive experience in the hospitality industry. He checked if our needs were being met without ever being obtrusive. We really appreciated the little touches such as a bottle of water in the room and fruit juices without added sugar for breakfast. Saj also helped us book a train ticket and gave us useful recommendations for dining options.
The ground floor of Saj's homestay has a copy machine and an ATM, which we found very convenient.

SajHome is an excellent place to stay whether to work, leisure or both. The rooms are well maintained with are conditioning, ensuite bathrooms and a ceiling fan. Bottles of fresh water are provided on a daily basis and the rooms are cleaned and maintained every day. The daily breakfast is also varied and excellent. Breakfast is served until 11am each day and one can have a choice of a traditional Keralan breakfast or a European breakfast. If you buy fish at the local market Saj's wife will cook a delicious curry for you. Fish can also be ordered from the local fish delivery man who delivers fish daily. One can also ask for coffee throughout the day. Saj will also book day trips to the backwaters of Allepey or to Munnar, a colonial era hill station. Collection by car from the airport can also be arranged. Saj has many years experience of working for international hotels before starting SajHome. He manages SajHome as a professional hotelier.

We booked Sajhome direct and at short notice after seeing a poor review of the hotel where we had originally planned to stay. Sajhome was an excellent choice and is well situated in the centre of Kochi. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast very good. Mr Saj recommended nearby restaurants for dinner (Chariot Beach on Princess Street serves delicious vegetarian curries) and places to visit, and also booked our early morning transfer to the airport.

Probably one of the best Homestay in Fort Kochi, we were a group of 16 people, all felt like being at home, Mr. Sadique the host made us very comfortable, all the rooms were neat, toilets were nice and clean, the breakfast provided were delicious(homemade). Reasonably priced and more importantly proximity to all tourist attractions and eatouts. Overall a great experience at Sajhome. Would certainly recommend to my friends and love to visit again.

We spent a week in Kerala and used Saj's homestay as our homebase, staying there at the beginning and end of our week. Our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast both European or traditional-Kerala style, was delicious and the location was perfect. In addition to the homestay itself, Saj was very accommodating. He organized drivers for us as we traveled for the week and helped with any bookings we needed. Everything ran smoothly and we had a hassle-free week. Thanks so much Saj, for ensuring that we had such a good time on our visit!

Fortkochi is located 46 kms away from Kochi intl airport and it may take 75 minutes drive.
4 seats air conditioned cab airport transfer costs INR 1200/- including parking charges at Kochi airport.
If it continental breakfast we can serve from 7:00am. Keralan breakfast can be served only from 7:30am
Dec- 28th Feb, 2018 - Deluxe Air conditioned room room INR 2900/- per night including breakfast and all the taxes for 2 adults.
March 1st to Oct 31st - the above room rate INR 2500/- per night.
Nov- till Feb- 2019 -- INR 2900/- per night.
