The hotel is beautiful everyone very helpful food and drinks were delicious. Melina the waitress that helped us was wonderful. Viviana was very nice as well. Highly recommend to anyone looking to have a good time with friends and family!
We (Family of 4, Two Adults, 1 kid and a Toddler) travelled to Manta for a quick holiday 4 days and stayed in Manta Host. Very helpful and kind staff. We needed an extra bed for my small kid and the hotel provide it without additional cost. We payed late checkout for a convenient extra amount considering our flight to Quito was scheduled at 8 pm. We rented a car and parked it in the Hotel facilities without any problem. Lots of places to eat great food at walking distance. Definitely a place to come back.
We traveled here from Charleston, South Carolina. We used a reputable travel agent to set up our reservations. We arrived here, to the Mantahost Hotel late at night and was greeted by the most unfriendly night manager. She appeared to be a very unhappy person and in the 30 minutes that it took for us to be checked in: she never smiled once. She was by far the most unfriendly employee of a resort hotel that I have ever encountered in my years of traveling. She, representing this hotel, proceeded to explain to us that our reservation price would NOT be honored and that we were required to pay additional money: increasing our room price by 27% . We showed this night manager our reservation tickets "CONFIRMED by both, our travel agent & the hotel". However the night manager said that it wasn't showing up in her system with our agreed upon price. She also said that our reservations for a beach front room would NOT be honored and that if we didn't want a parking lot view, we would have to pay extra for the upgrade. We kept showing her the emails confirming the price and that our reservations were for a beach front room. The end result: she would not give us what we paid. And being almost 11:00pm. We paid the extra money under protest!!! The front desk manager was RUDE, UNFRIENDLY & CHEATED us out of almost $200. Next she increased the Taxes: from $9.00 to $36.00. (a 400% increase). Her explanation for this upcharge was that the reservations were made in my wife's name and not my name. The restaurant breakfast buffet was not very good. We just ate the fruit. The housekeeping was terrible. We are currently working with our travel agent to get our money back: but this company doesn't care about this situation. They SCREWED us!!! By the way: this was originally a Howard Johnson's TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 😑 …
The rooms are okay, and the ocean view is the best part of the hotel. Besides that, some staff are quite friendly. But the people at the reception really need to learn some customer service. Specially when you can pay the same price and stay at Poseidon or Sail Plaza, which are a lot better than Mantahost (I've stayed in all three). Reception is not available to call through the room's phone (they wont answer), and when you ask anything, they always answer in a rude way. They look tired and disturbed. If you dont like your job please find another profession, but dont mess up my vacation. I have never been in a 5 star hotel where the main desks refuses you to give enough towels or access cards to the guests. Crazy. Overall the place is not awful, the ocean view saves it, but they should tell the truth, this is not a 5 star hotel. With some friendliness and kindness they could improve this rating, but so far, really disappointed on how they treat guests over here.…
The best servivce, I recommend this resort. We had a great time, great service, great food, very clean, very friendly, great room service and easy access to beach resorts. Thank you for a very memorable vacation, we will certainly stay here again
Beautiful hotel. So close to the beach that you can hear the waves at night. Wonderful buffet breakfast and super nice staff. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was great with a beautiful view. Great bar in the lobby. We also ordered room service and had a really good pizza. The staff spoke enough English for us to communicate. We really enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable beds and amazing views of the ocean. Great hot water and rain shower. Loved the pool by the beach and the pool bar and grill.
We stayed in MantaHost for our last day during our visit to Manta. We ended up staying one more day in Manta due to the license plate restrictions imposed by the government and we did not want to stay one more day in our prior hotel anymore. Our room was on level 5 with a balcony and an awesome view of the ocean. The room was clean and looked like it was recently remodeled. We wished we would have stayed here for our entire trip to Manta. My wife and I planned an 8-day trip to Manta and originally had booked the MantaHost but we canceled the reservation because (we thought) it was dated due to reviews from other guests so we feared it wouldn’t be a good stay. Big mistake, as we ended up going to another hotel where we were disappointed and we regretted that we canceled the original MantaHost reservation. The restaurant is great, we could enjoyed of excellent Ecuadorian food with an amazing ocean view in the balcony. We felt safe here as the restaurant complied with health measures during this pandemic. We will definitely return. The hotel was great. …

Very friendly service, nice spacious room and pool with ocean view. The restaurant serves good food for reasonable price. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of delicious and healthy things to eat. As we stayed in Mantahost there were a lot of international guests.
Place is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Food is just fine but there are many great alternatives nearby for lunch and dinner. Pool and beach area are kind of small specially if you arrive on a holiday.
