There are so many magical things about this beautiful Hotel I’d love to write about but I’ll try to keep to those points most important to you. Upon arrival you step right into the main reception area; there is no long and difficult hike to get into the property. You’re greeted by the most friendly and attentive staff. Manager Bente and her team including Boris and Lena take care of everything. The property opens up to a zen like courtyard with dining area, relaxation stations, pool and Jacuzzi. The multi level Hotel has a limited number of well appointed rooms so privacy and peace are guaranteed (Its does have handicap ramps). If knees are weak ask for lower level rooms. Second floor has inside/outside comfort area for reading and relaxing between your adventures. WiFi on all floors is outstanding (internet service to the island gets enhanced next year) so checking in with the office was easy. The rooms are clean, fresh, and extremely comfortable. Your delicious Breakfast is made fresh and is ready precisely at the time requested the night before. Because the property is centrally located you are steps away from everything...restaurants, shopping, Day trip launch points. Personal attention is amazing! You’ll get helpful advice, assistance with arranging events, support for special request without any hesitation. The Galapagos is unbelievable but Hotel Acacia is sensational!!!

What an exceptional property! This immaculately clean boutique hotel has approximately 12 rooms on 3 storeys with wide open, airy common spaces to relax. Someone is always sweeping or cleaning around the small complex. The reception staff are incredibly welcoming, hospitable and helpful without being intrusive and English is well spoken. They can arrange everything for you as well as being partnered with a helpful travel agency next door. They can also send out for laundry service. Beach towels are available.
Rooms are well appointed with all the standard travel essentials and tastefully decorated with local art featuring Galapagos wildlife themes. There is also an evening turn down service. The in-room A/C works very well and a small fridge is included.
The table service breakfast is fresh and delicious and portions are large. You start with juice, fruit and yogurt followed by a different themed egg dish as a main course.
Location in Puerto Ayora is excellent: just a few convenient steps away from the restaurants, shops and piers on the main avenue but far enough away such that it is nice and quiet in the evening.
Should we ever return to Santa Cruz, this is where we'd stay. Again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Acacia. Starting with the warm welcome from Bente and the continued interactions and chats with Bente and Boris during our stay. The breakfasts with only the freshest of ingredients were delicious. When my spouse was unwell, they provided medicine, made sure the breakfast was tailored to support his limited diet, and made sure he was doing okay so I could still go out and tour. They gave us good suggestions for dinner and answered all our questions with solid information. No request was too small for them to fulfill. This hotel is very centrally located within walking distance to all points of interest in Santa Cruz, clean, and beautifully maintained and with a delightful view of the water. Thank you Bente and Boris from Gary and Bina.

This was my first trip to the Galapagos Islands and I was so fortunate that my first night was at the Acacia hotel, Santa Cruz. The staff (Carol and Bente) were awesome and so knowledgeable. If the hotel community handed out medals these two would earn a gold for sure! I also didn't realize that it was best to reserve the tours of interest before arriving, but that didn't stop these two from fixing my mistake. They simply asked what I would like to do and then they made the calls and made it happen. I consider myself an average person but they treated me like royalty. The hotel was quiet, spotless, comfortable and my view from my room was overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was a wonderful assortment of fruits, bread and eggs to order. The hotel is centrally located and is just a half block from the main drag (Charlies Darwin Ave). From there it is a short walk to either (Left) Charlies Darwin Station or (Right) to the port were most of the tours come in and out of. Of course the hotel was super nice but it was the staff that made may stay so very special and I am eternally grateful to them for that. I plan someday to return (maybe next year). We'll see!

Small, lovely hotel in the centre of Santa Cruz/Puerto Ayora. Have been there for 8 nights. Service and atmosphere was outstanding! Bente,Sophia and Boris did make everything happen to make our stay unforgettable: booked tours and made restaurant reservations for us, were always in a good mood, open-minded and very customer oriented.
Well done!

Spent a lovely few days at the Acacia hotel. The hotel is small, very homely and the attention to detail is impeccable. An oasis of peace after the hot Galapagos days. Our room was large, comfortably sleeping the three of us with a good sized balcony offering views of the sea. The bathroom was large with a shower and a bathtub and filtered water provided for teeth cleaning (tap water not recommended). The hotel also provides refillable bottles with a water station on the corridor. The staff are very attentive, anticipating all your needs. The breakfast is superb, with yoghurt and granola as a staple and each day a different cooked dish. All delicious. The hotel offers beach and microfibre towels for any beach/water activities.

Acacia is located centrally within a couple hundred meters of Charles Darwin Avenue with all the restaurants/bars and shops on your doorstep. All in all a great base for exploring the islands. Would highly recommend.

This hotel was AMAZING…perfect clean, upscale, and well located hotel. I spend 60 nights a year on the road on business in the US and couldn’t have asked for a better base camp for Galapagos.

The hotel staff, particularly Carol and Bente, couldn’t do enough for us. Whether it was helping to coordinate our complicated 10 day itinerary, making sure we started every day right with a full breakfast and packing a boxed lunch, or just giving good recommendations on restaurants and spa services, the hospitality was better than any US luxury property I’ve stayed in.

Hotel is half a block from the waterfront and all the restaurant action, easy 5 min walk or so to the municipal pier.

Rooms were modern and the best we stayed in between the three islands we visited.

Thank you Carol, Bente, and Hotel Acacia team!!

We really enjoyed our week long stay here. This 8 room hotel is a special treat if you can get in. Oscar, Carol, and Bento took such great care of us. They adjusted breakfast to our schedule each day. Our friends requested special foods for breakfast and they mastered their unusual request with improvements each morning. They allowed us to reserve the hot tub for a specific time so we could schedule use around our preferences. They chilled our store bought wine and brought glasses to the hot tub. The room is clean and comfortable and the location is convenient. 10-15 minute walk to the main dock where most activities start each morning. 3-5 minute walk to the main commercial street. They gave good restaurant recommendations. Aircon In the rooms. Free use of a dryer for hard to dry clothing. Public spaces that we could use exclusively for games and hanging with our friends. We felt very safe and comfortable here. Highly recommend.

The hotel is well located, you can get anywhere by foot. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. Air-condition was very convenient during hot season. Breakfast was delicious. The night before I was always asked at what time I would want to have breakfast and they adapted to my preferences. How lucky was I to find that Bente, the hotel manager, and her friend Sophia also helped me book tours around the island. I had originally planned to just wander around but in the end I got a complete itinerary with English speaking guides! They also made sure I was visiting places I wouldn’t see during my cruise that I embarked on after my stay. I couldn’t be happier with my stay and would recommend Hotel Acacia to anyone who visits Galapagos.

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of my trip before dying home and it was exactly what I needed to recharge before the 27 hour journey home!

Bente and her team were brilliant from start to finish. The rooms were 5* standard and the breakfast was amazing.

My only negative would be the lack of WiFi in my room (available in the main foyer) which was frustrating when trying to chase up some work emails.

That aside, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
